Mythic+ ladder climb in DF season 4 as resto druid
World of Warcraft can be a fun game, but assuming a tank or healing role can be a bit intimidating sometimes. For me, it was healing. I've loved healing in the past (wotlk), but since then I've mostly been a DPS main, only picking up healing occasionally when needed in raids, and I've never pushed mythic+ keystones as a healer.
Recently, I've picked up resto druid and learned how to heal m+ keys. I started in low keys, but I've been doing progressively higher keys with the intention to get Keystone Master before The War Within comes out.
In this video, I'll show you how I leveled up my resto druid gameplay before The War Within in Ruby Life Pools, the Azure Vault and more m+. dungeons! Watch me dominate as a resto druid!

There are so many bosses in Elden Ring, but only some of them can be beaten by me. Here is a fight highlight from my first stream of my clearing out groveside cave and the beastman of farum azula as a samurai. I really liked getting to this easier boss and taking him on. As with any MMO, PUG groups can be hit or miss, and Tarisland is no different. There is a pretty big difference between normal and elite raids, with the main difference being that mechanics actually matter in elite mode or else you will wipe. Tarisland is a f2p MMORPG PC port of a mobile game by Tencent that just had its global release. I've been enjoying the gameplay of it so far, but I noticed something peculiar today. My teammates seemed to move like bots, so I decided to observe them a bit, and low and behold! Bots!? How to fix screen tearing/bluring in Tarisland
Huge improvement man! Keep it up :) I’ll follow your twitch I stream WoW sometimes too lol
Fellow Restoration Druid here! I love this video. I’m so glad you were able to improve and feel more comfortable while healing in dungeons. Keep it up!
Also: If you ever want tips and/or advice I would love to share my knowledge with you! I climbed to 3006 rating in Season 3 and this season I am currently 1840… playing a bit less haha :)
@@thegoldhuman9875 Thanks for this comment! I'm loving resto druid! Despite our hero talents not seeming as cool/flashy as others in TWW, I'm def maining resto/balance! I don't have many questions right now, but for sure if I do I'll ask! Thanks for the encouragement!
Hey. I'm a healer too. I played resto druid to season 2 from there I played holy paladin( I will alt resto druid in TWW). If you need some tips or help I can help :)
Just a quick tip from what I'm seeing if you have something on you or big AoE is about to drop, jump into bear form and you can even use barskin and then you can heal yourself with frenzied regeneration. You can also use renewal for quick heal that cost no mana( kinda like healthstone for druids).
Hey! I appreciate it. Yeah, I've been pretty bad at using my personals, mostly just relying on my heals from resto, so that's something to work on in the future. I forget about renewal all the time, but I do use the others, although not enough as I should probably.
How are you playing this on PC?
@@angelorizzi7567 if you search for "Tarisland global" you'll find a link to download the PC version of the game.
@@IkazuJapan Awesome, thank you!

I’m glad you found Growl. He’s a great resource. I tried to pick up MW at the tail end of season 4. Got into a nelth +2 and we wiped on the chain boss 2 times and then the tank quit. The first time I picked up MW was season 3 but I remember doing +16s. I also learned that for me as a healer, higher keys tended to go more smoothly due to “generally” less avoidable damage taken by the party.
@@Doesin yeah, the chain boss can be a bit tough, especially if people don't know what to do with the chains. Most wipes seem to be mechanic related as opposed to being unable to keep up with healing. This season's starting point (lower keys) is certainly tougher than before since key levels were squished, so they're much more punishing I think.
This was my first ever season maining healer and I love it. I'm feeling really confident in m+ up to like +4 but I've found raid way more intimidating. Maybe I'll give it a shot this week.
@@real.creature1 Wow! My healing opposite! Give it a shot, it's not as bad as m+, especially now at the end of the season, you can probably get into a group that is listed as "quick run" and most people will be really geared, making them quick fights with less intimidating healing.
@IkazuJapan gave it a shot and you're right, raid healing isn't so bad. The only hard part has been finding a tank who knows the fights 😅
when your heals do nothing, and the damage incoming is massive, it feels real bad. Just remember, not all deaths are your fault. People have defensives for a reason
@@housey2 So true! I'll remember to keep this in mind!
Incoming tank nerfs... how does this make you feel?
Honestly, I haven't looked at them yet. I saw that Dratnos made a video on them, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Just starting healing, especially in low keys, I feel like the tank isn't usually the issue, it's the DPS that take more damage because they don't do the mechanics. Atm at my level, as long as a tank uses a defensive every now and then, I don't have a problem keeping them alive, so a bit of nerf probably won't change much, but we'll see how it shapes out.
@@IkazuJapan yeah they are cutting tanks defensive layers and self heals. So you will now have to focus more on keeping the tank and bad dps alive
Hm... Well, I'll just have to roll with, since there's nothing I can do about it. Hopefully it's not an insane change that nullifies the increased health pools in TWiW, since that was supposed to be their fix to smooth out healing.
@@IkazuJapan yeah
Keep up the hard work man, it definitely comes with more time and practice. Awesome to see you kept with it! Keep up the grind, and remember at the end of the day WoW is just a game, you can beat it, even if it's healing.
Thank you! That's really encouraging to hear!
@IkazuJapan I started dragonflight actually being apprehensive about tanking since I hadn't done it in MoP. I went back into it and now I pull large packs like a champ! When it comes to healing, Ken thing I keep in mind is healing first then damage. Master how your spells work and weave in the damage. I'm a cheater and play disc when i heal tho 😋
Nice! Yeah, in my dungeons, I've just been focusing on heals and leaving damage to be second nature. The most mana-efficient way to damage as resto druid seems to be cat form, but I get a bit flustered switching between forms cause I'm not used to it yet. Wrath spam is also ok though, so I just focus on damage and then get off a wrath or two when I can. Disc is actually very enticing! Voidweaver looks really aesthetically pleasing in TWiW too!
its so fucking easy to get healer anxiety these days man, people ignore mechanics and just expect you to deal with it as if they didnt do anything wrong. keep at it bud.
Yeah, the +2 uldaman that the video ended on actually had more than a few deaths, and we didn't actually time it, but looking back as I edited most of the deaths were just people not knowing mechanics and at the end one dps was even complaining that we didn't time it. Like, if they knew the mechanics, they wouldn't have died resulting in less time lost. I wasn't mad, cause you win some and lose some, but it's frustrating to even think about dealing with people like that.
I'm glad you found the guide helpful. See you on the leaderboards soon!
Growl! Thank you so much for taking time to check this out! Thanks again for your guide, and looking forward to your next video/stream!
W cat
I've recently decided to try healing too, tried holy paladin but the class fantasy for me is a bit meh. At the moment leveling a resto shaman. Would love to check out your healing m+ videos in the future. Though, adjust your speaking voice to be a bit louder in the videos. It's hard to hear if you're doing something else on your other monitor at the same time e.g. playing wow.
Yeah, I tried holy paladin a little bit as well, but I couldn't quite grasp it well enough to want to play it much myself. Noted about the voice! Thanks for the feedback!
My dude! Ganbatta ne :D
Haha, I'm still pretty bad at the game, but I'm slowly getting better! I also will be streaming it Friday's at 9am JST if you wanna pop in! Just streaming one day a week for now. But I'll be making videos of the other things I do offline

@@_I_Like_Trains_ Same! It was really annoying! Glad this could help!
All these people in the comments talking about OSRS are a tad nostalgia-poisoned, imo - it's not nearly as good as RS3 in terms of player usability and interesting content. Notably, it has almost no quality of life features, by design, to give an "old school" vibe. That may be nice for people trying to relive their childhoods, but it's just bad game design for a normal player. That said, I highly recommend trying them both! An especially nice thing is that if you pay for membership on one, it works on both of them, so it's entirely possible to swap between them if you're bored and want to level up the same levels again in a parallel universe for the heck of it.
Ah, I get it. It makes sense, some people want nostalgia, while others want improved versions of the things they like. I do plan on giving them both a more in-depth try! Someone else mentioned (sarcastically) that I did only try RS3 for a short period of time, and they're right! I plan on doing some longer gameplay testing of both of them and trying to get into them both a bit more in the future!
Thank you bro !
No problem! I hope you find it helpful!
Awesome, just what i was looking for! thanks for the easy guide
@@MrSaja2019 Glad it was helpful!
I think it should be mentioned at least, but I think it's a proper way to complete the dungeons during leveling phase. There are enough ways to get proper people to play with: It's called socializing. Get friends, get a guild, setup a team yourself manually via teams window etc. How MMOs where played in the past. There are enough ways to play this game as an MMO even during leveling phase. The real endgame does not have NPCs neither has challenge mode (which is the actual real fun here). And to be fair: FF14 rushing through low level dungeons because level 90s do their dailies is a worse experience than playing with NPCs here.
Since FF14 characters scale down, I never felt like higher levels doing their dailies affected my dungeon experience much, especially since most people are perfectly fine with waiting for people to watch cutscenes. The WoW experience in leveling dungeon is worse. I know it's not story-driven, but half the time you're just walking through the dungeon not even attacking anything because your tank is running through it killing everything. As long as the bots do their job, I'm actually not minding the more dungeons I do, it's nice to not sit in a 15min que time as well.
It's because you are alreeady behind. Low lvl dungeons doesn't have plenty of people doing that anymore. The bots doesn't do mechanics but they don't take damage of the time from mechanics.
I've noticed they do some mechanics but not all. They're super good at interrupts and absorb mechanics like the water orbs in Merfolk Swamp.
@@IkazuJapan yes, they instant interrupt.
I live in China but play on Europe server which means when I play it’s downtime in Europe. I did three elite runs today and everyone except me was an npc in the group. I know because if I have a good run then I add plays to friends but couldn’t and when the run was finished they just stood looking at each other for ten minutes till I left!1 lol😂
@@paulwheeler8913 lol, yeah, them standing around is what tipped me off the most too. I'm curious, what's your ping like?
@@IkazuJapan like anything internet in China it depends on the time of day. In the morning it’s around 150, by the afternoon it’s 200 but as Europe starts coming online in the evening/night it’s around 250.
@@paulwheeler8913 a bit high, but not as bad as I thought it would be. I'm about the same if I play on the NA server while living in Japan.
you are showing story dungeons, you do get paired with bots there so you can watch the cutcenes without skiping or having 4 ppl wait for you. I never got pared with bots on normal and elite dungeons
Both dungeons showed in this video were "normal mode," but nowhere were they marked with story mode. Also, I'm looking back at my footage from that day, and I have Elite Merfolk Swamp with one other player-like name, and the other three are "Cassidy," "Koda," and "Kobe," who I'm pretty sure were all bots.
I started yesterday and had bot on every single run until the very last dungeon on elite and on the raids. Even then, there was almost no one doing the sorceress raid.
congrats you found a bot man,
i had tank in raid and we realized that tank is bot because we wiped and then repsawn and bot go to fight soon as tank repsawn every time
Even the non-tank bots do that, and it's pretty frustrating. The first time I did Library of Chaos on Elite, twice in a row we wiped on the last boss because no one dodged stuff and died and when one of the players spawned they pulled immediately leaving one player dead on subsequent attempts. Sucks it was your tank that did it though
it is cool, because if you didn't play in day 1 and consistent to the new content since most players are in the ELITE Dungeons and Raid you're way behind the level and gear score, from your video, you're in story dungeon which you get paired with bots normally since there are fewer players in that content.
That's a fair take. I'm 99% sure I wasn't in "story mode" because the only two options I see when queing for dungeons are "normal mode" and "elite mode."
Bro is that your first mmorpg? You always get bots in story mode dungeons. i dont believe that you got bots in elite dungeons via matchmaking kekw never happened to me after over 200h
I've never had my dungeons filled with bots in WoW or FF14 unless I deliberately chose to do the dungeons with NPCs. Nor in any other MMOs I've played.
Kekw kekw only time I didnt get bots was the very last elite dungeon. I speed runned everything yesterday and it was literally like that.
Also what you say is so impossible that I'm convinced you are literally either lying or can't recognize a bot. Any elite run under the lvl 38 dungeon are full of bots.
These bots dont have a military rank either. I think they put them in because after some days you wont find real players who run the first dungeons with you. All real players will be in the endgame already. So i think they did a good job. BUT the player should definetely be informed about it, maybe even with an option if you want to fill up the group with bots.
Yeah, that's a fair take! I didn't think about that, especially since there's likely a big rush of people jumping from other mmos to try it out and get through it and to the first kill races asap. I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything, but I just would have liked a little sentence or something that told us it could happen. Nothing to get bent out of shape over though. I was just a bit surprised. The bots seem to do their jobs well-enough, with the exception of pulling stuff without you, or not waiting until everyone respawns before attacking stuff if someone dies.
@@IkazuJapan Yepp, i was very mad at the "players" at first until i realized they were bots. Then i was mad that people are using bots. Then i thought they might be intnially here. Then i was glad to have them since i tried out 7 classes. Then i was mad because one has only 5 character slots. ;)

OSRS is way better, way more friendly, no microtransactions. It averages way more players
Good to know! I'll give it a try!
I will agree RS3 and it's sibling OSRS are extremely overwhelming at first and very untraditional in how they're designed. Both games don't offer much direction but allow absolute freedom in what you want to do. It really is about making your own little adventure, having absolute freedom. I've been playing the game as a whole since 2004 and never looked back. Try both versions for sure. I prefer RS3, but Old School RuneScape offers a ton of cool stuff as well so it's worth checking out.
Awesome insight! I think I'll give OSRS a try too before really going ham on one version or the other.
Bro your mic is muted. How is this a reaction?
It's not a reaction? It's my first impressions, which I'm giving with the voiceover...
I prefer RS3 but there is alot to the game but alot of people are really helpful and finding a group of friends or a decent clan is a must.
I haven't gotten anywhere close to finding a group or anything I think, but I definitely felt like there was a lot! I was impressed by the depth. I don't think it's a bad thing, just a bit much to have all thrown at you at once.
Yeah I'm a returning player and even with previous knowledge there was alot to get my head around.
@@LLG_Chris Oh wow. Well, I'm glad it wasn't just me! Any recommendations for something to focus on first to kind of get acquainted with the game more?

Someone else suggested OSRS too! I'll probably give it a try!
you'll enjoy old school runescape more!
Maybe I'll give it a try! I'm not really sure what the differences are between them, but I'm always up for exploring!
@@IkazuJapan I highly recommend playing OSRS. Items and achievements feel much more rewarding. As a new player, you might not understand why things like the toolbelt can be detrimental. I've invested a lot of time in both games, but the only one I still enjoy is my OSRS Ironman. It’s a bit tricky to recommend Ironman mode since you might not fully grasp why it enhances the experience or how the bond system affects the game’s integrity. In summary, if you’re looking for a quick, arcade-like experience, play on regular accounts where you can speed up progress with real money. But if you want to truly engage with the game, go for Ironman. If you have friends, convince them to try Group Ironman-it’s the most fun, in my opinion.

World of Warcraft is pay to win as well… literally buy gold on the AH and buy everything you need to be top in your raid. Show me one game that’s not pay to win…. This whole P2W complaint is stupid.
Both bad then but in Tarisland f2p player is capped and p2w player can surpass it by selling crystals. In WoW you don't have cap on how much gold you can farm daily.
How are f2p players capped?
@@IkazuJapan If we assume that most gold you can get froms selling crafted stuff then f2p is capped by vigor.
how? only thing you could possibly buy with gold in AH is consumables which are piss cheap, enchants/gems which are also piss cheap. All gear is account bound and you have to earn(get lucky) it yourself either from raids, m+ or vault.
@@alexhallgren3269 High crafted gear. There's raid trash drops that drop BOE's that people sell on AH. All Gems and enchants that are BIS can be bought on AH. Yes you still have to raid for mythic gear, but you can easily buy your way up to Heroic or Better gear with enough gold. Regardless of whether things are piss cheap or not, you are still able to go buy everything on AH except mythic gear. At least things comparable to Heroic level or better.
It's pretty garbage. It's a shiny turd.
its p2w tr*sh
What's trash about it? You're saying it's P2W, but other's are saying it's aren't. Got any examples?
@@IkazuJapan I will explain. The game is predatory (5k USD for a skin set, drawing people in using FOMO), it just is. But regarding p2w, it's one of the better mobile games where it doesn't feel forced, but you CAN buy progress and you can pay yourself into becoming stronger to go higher on leaderboards. Considering they will have world first races, paying players will be at a great advantage.
@@IkazuJapan whats trash about p2w? well if u are strong by p2w pvp and stuff is not based on skill and u 2 shot f2p players. Short answer this game is absolute trash
Interesting take. What makes it trash?
@@IkazuJapan feels like it's only supposed to be a mobile game rather than a PC MMO..which it is already made for mobile, Every aspect of the game is time gated, and literally ONE of the skins in the shop on average costs $5,000. The list goes on and I can give you more examples if you like.
@@CTNFilms Well, it is a PC port of an MMO, but I think they did a good job of porting it so far compared to some other games. Controls seem fine, a little buggy sometimes, but they have acknowledge bugs and are working on those. What skins is worth $5,000?
@@IkazuJapan I find it kind of funny with all these cash grab mobile mmo ports how they restrict you from playing their game after you've done a certain amount of activities. It's like they don't want you playing. The skin is the mesmeriser set. On average if you want all the pieces it's 5-6k USD. No thank you. They also don't mention that the battle pass is character bound, not account bound.
And lagging as hel and my ping goes crazy on my tablet galaxy s8 I mean com on I play games as wuthering waves dragon raja and they work just fine ,is not a bad game but is not the best too ps: this is my personal opinion is not even worth comparing this whit wow because wow is better in every aspect whit out the graphics
The game takes of at lvl 40 lol no offense lvl 12 and so on challenge mode for dungeons and raids aren't even. Out yet nor are world bosses
For sure. Idk how in-depth it is, and I'm still just getting started. I'm level 32 at the moment, and yeah, dungeons aren't super challenging or anything yet, but they're short and fun enough so far. I've only done the Shadow Witch so far, and just on normal so far for the quest. I am curious about level 40 stuff, but I'll get there in due time.
They’re also setting that works based off your spec and talents you set it up and you press 1 button and it does your whole rotation/combo for you…
This is the "Assist" feature right? I saw that, and I don't like that at all. I mean, you can turn it off, but I wonder how many people actually use it... Like, WoW also has an autocast feature that you can use, but at least that only spams a single skill..
It doesn't work for everything though keep that in mind
That's good to know. I am curious to it's limitations though, so I might play around with it.
The fact that bgs are timegated and close when I end work was a deal breaker for me. No idea why they chose to do that so dumb
I didn't actually know this at all! I had no ideas bgs were timegated since I haven't tried any yet. That doesn't make sense on a "global" release at all! Definitely a negative in my book too.
sry, but this game is P2W, pls research on this topic. I played it but was shocked about the greediness of this game. Its a criminal perfect engineeres slotmashine. For a real PC-Gamer who loves MMORPGs, this game is disgusting.
he is correct
Well, like I said, most things *seem* to be cosmetic. Looking now, there seem to be a few round about ways you could gain advantages over others such as getting increased battle pass xp and reputation xp (which ultimately leads to , but you can't just buy gear outright at the moment. There might be something deeper to it, but for the casual player and through leveling, there is zero need to open your wallet at all. You can still enjoy the gameplay and aesthetic of it, and that's where I am now. I'm still leveling and not in endgame and don't see a P2W wall at all at the moment. If you're turned off then even the chance of their being a P2W wall, then yeah, ignore this game and move on, it's not for you. But, it has been fun to play so far without spending a dime, and nor do I intend to spend any money on it, and I think that it is good value for what you get for free so far.
There's no anymore pay to win in this game then wow so stop it there also you'll hate on this yet love throne and Liberty and New world
Lmao what pay to win? Everything is accessible by doing your elites and raids and getting gear from the dungeon shop. Stop being another wow fanboy and at least play the game without being so biased.
@@IkazuJapan Tier 3 gems and items for tempering might be a bottleneck while p2w will just swipe. Also if I am not wrong then you can buy vigor pots through AH for gold so f2p will have here another bottleneck but p2w will just swipe.
