It is such a sudden and overwhelming experience to go through. Grateful you are all safe physically, but the damage & disruption to your lives will be felt for a long time. I'm hoping things will come together in the fastest & best way possible. ❤

Does your town allow you to cross canal tie your boat? Mine does. Once we are under a hurricane warning, we're allowed to cross tie. Buy the supplies to do that. It will keep your boat off your dock. I put my boat about 8' off the dock when cross tying. I did not cross tie for Helene (I was blown off the dock for almost all of Helene). I did cross tie for Milton. Worked great. I was tied to 6 different docks plus mine. Too bad your house took on water. We were luckly we didn't.
