How To Create Bass Lines For Electronic Music
This video is a little different from what I've done before, but I hope it can be helpful in some way. I break down a few examples of some more modern electronic dance songs that are heavily influenced by disco. Disco may sound "dated" to some, but musicians like Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodger were/are masters at making dance music and there's a lot to learn from them.

The Jester of Hyperpop

This video is about the duality of the artist Mimideath and how someone is able to entertain while being real and thought provoking. I have a lot of respect for Mimideath and I hope more people can enjoy her music. Thank you for 100 subscribers!! I'm enjoying learning how to make these videos and having any sort of audience is very motivating. The intro music is made by me and the rest of the a...
Give Your Music Motion

This is a breakdown of the song "Everyday I walk around like crazy! Don't you?" by Bo En. It's an interesting song that has a lot of moving parts and energy. This is a recreation I did using stock Logic plugins. Hope you enjoy!

How Pros Use Arpeggiators

In this video I'm breaking down Kyoto by Pheobe Bridgers and Glitch Gum. The arpeggiator in this song is very memorable despite being a background element. Everything in this video was made using stock Logic plugins. I hope you enjoy!
The Secret To Glitch Pop
Переглядів 39721 день тому
In this video I break down a section of 5g by Brakence. I show how I created patterns of glitch sound effects and how they interact with the other instruments. Besides the guitar and glitch samples, I recreated every sound using Logic stock plugins. I hope this video can be useful for people interested in hyperpop and production in general :) Guitar credit: ua-cam.com/video/MBcFKkeODdc/v-deo.ht...
What Makes Melodies Catchy?

In this video I breakdown some catchy riffs in Kero Kero Bonito songs. The riffs are unique and complex, while also being very memorable. I remade the audio using stock Logic instruments so that I wouldn't run into any copyright issues. I hope you enjoy the video!
How Hyperpop Artists Build Grooves
Переглядів 2,9 тис.Місяць тому
This is a breakdown of Stuck by FTH. The groove tosses the focus around to different instrument grooves, leaving a lot of space for the vocals and sound effects. I was a bit unsure about UA-cam's copyright system, so I recreated the main groove using only stock logic plugins. I hope you enjoy!

    Nice Tutorial dude. You must be a visual learner as you present your tutorial so nicely with images, very thought provoking. If I can just add though this song from that Album is more Neo Soul/R&B, though the album has hyper pop elements on some of the other tracks. 5T4YTRU which is track 3 on the album would be more akin to Hyper Pop in fact that would pretty much be a textbook example of the genre imho. Keep up the good work Jedi, SUBBED

      @musicnrik Місяць тому

      Thanks! I completely agree about the genre thing. I think this album stretches through a bunch of genres of "pop" and not all of them sound like stereotypical hyperpop. I view hyperpop as a modifier of a genre. Brakence takes elements from rap and pop, while Internet Girl has pop punk influences, and 100 Gecs takes from pop, ska, punk, etc. They all take parts of different genres but are all still hyperpop (due to the production style).
