Very interesting. I visited China for a month in 2011. Despite returning to the US for 13 years, I was certainly never there again in the same way. It didn't take too long to "detribalize." But perhaps I was pre-detribalized before I even left the US.

@@SECRETPURPOSE I left when I saw what's happening in HK. My family suffered a lot in the cultural revolution so I ain't one of those stupid brain washed little pinks. I knew where we were heading was wrong, and I packed my bags, transfered out all the money, and haven't looked back.

Trump has bankrupted every business he's been in. Trump casino, steaks, University, airline..... We're headed to the worst recession and inflation. Last term he wanted to print money to pay off the debt. Now he wants us to pay tariffs to give the rich tax breaks. The rest of the world is moving in without us. China, South America, India, Canada and Mexico will survive without us.

What's the right direction? Tariffs and trade wars so prices go up more. Benefits and pardons for all his rich friends. Please God educate yourself. We are seriously screwed with voters like this.

If you are referring to the visa in your passport on the same day you apply at a Chinese consulate - No, there is a wait. Expect to wait at least a week between application and getting the visa; you leave your passport with the consulate. Expect to make at least two trips to the consulate.
