Nice Zucchini my zucchini plant is only pushing out male flowers 😫 and the season for zucchini is almost over I'm going to leave it to see what happens 😊 You can make alot of sweet potato pies with your sweet potato harvest ❤ 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🌻
I wish I knew how to bake. Think I’m gonna try candied yams. Al together I got about 3 zucchini and no squash. Fingers crossed I get at least one squash.

Love your garden! Simple, yet so beautiful. I'm gonna add more bins. Do you just add fresh compost to the existing dirt each year?
This is my first year, but for the bins or bags that I have harvested I have reused the dirt and add compost and amendments to it.

Yup I did increase the phosphorus and sulfur it has helped

Yes garden soil with perlite.

When I did wicking buckets years ago I used t-shirts cut into strips, but I did a different design using only 1 bucket.

Hi Sharen I got them at a local thrift store they are actually Christmas tree storage containers.

I'm binge watching your videos so I don't know if you have done this. I place plastic forks in my planters with tines facing up to deter critters from getting in them.
Thank you the pepper did help they seem to have temporary stopped coming by since I started the pepper spray. But the forks are a good idea.
I tried to a small in-house wicking planter with a t-shirt and it didn't take long to deteriorate. Some people use polyester cords for their wicking material. I haven't done a wicking project yet but I did create a reservoir in my bell pepper bucket using a milk jug and water bottles.
Cords sound like they would work better, I would definitely stay away from any cloth.
That's the beauty about growing potatoes!! You can set and forget them!!

Hi it’s good to see you are being transparent. Even though that situation didn’t work for you, you still have plants 🪴 that are bearing fruits. Do you grow marigolds and mint around your plants. I am new to gardening also and I have planted lots of marigolds, mints, and other herbs because they serve double purposes in the garden. Keep growing because your plants are looking green😊.
Thank you I do have marigolds with some plants, I think the basil helped more with the pest control.
You can trellis your squash. It helps.
