My 06 base auto TL with 3.2 on 93 and using some fuel system cleaner I’ve somehow been able to average 32 MPG on interstate, 26-28 in the city. Not bad at all for a V6 sedan from mid 00’s
I have a 05 acura TL, on cold start lags shifting into D and R but does drive ok unless i gun it then the rpm will raise with no power to the wheels. After the car gets hot it doesnt even shift into D. Any ideas?
That's the beginning sign of a transmission failure. Start shopping around for a rebuild or swap with an accord transmission.
So I have a 2006 TL I can put a Type S or 2007-2007 cluster in it?
You can put any!
@ okay thank you. I’ll definitely try this out and see how it looks. Definitely think the 2007-2008 ones look way better.
@rCBishop You welcome! In my opinion both looks better than the 2004-2006 model. Keep me posted!
Where did you buy yours please mine is leaking but I’m not sure if it’s the reservoir or the cap
Check the link in the description box. It's from Amazon. If you're not sure where the leak is coming from, I would wiped down that whole area, start up the car and watch to see where exactly it's leaking from. Keep me updated!
Resolved the leak ?
@CRAWLERTVPR Yes and no! Yes it's not leaking from that area, but I noticed some leak around the heater control valve. Looks like another project I'm going to have to tackle with a diy video.
Hi man, you didn’t have any shaking or anything for not changing rotor? Thanks
@davidquintanilla9952 None whatsoever! I would recommend changing the rotors at 50k miles or whenever you feel a vibration on your steering wheel when stepping on the brakes.
Can I put the auto speedo in a manual TL ?
I believe it's plug and play but I'm not too sure if it'll show PNRD correctly considering yours is a manual.
Thanks for the link to get a new sliding cup holder cover, and the way to install it! I changed mine on my Acura 2006 TL. Thanks again. Much appreciated.
I just changed my 2007 TL with 234,000 on it today, I have kept all fluids changed regularly but really never knew about this filter, not real should its ever been changed. Mine was in very bad shape the banjo bolt was stopped up at the holes with the orange plastic from the filter. I took it out and put about 3 miles on it and it did very good. I am hoping this takes care of the problem. Thanks for the video.
@rg1339 What problems are you having?
What I found on my daughter's 05' TL was that the siphon hose below the Reservoir's Cap had fallen inside the Reservoir, not able to draw previously expelled Coolant from the Reservoir. Radiator would get manually topped off occasionally causing the the Reservoir to become overfilled and to "Spill-Over" around the Plastic Cap. Randy. AKA randog311
I see. Did you ever replaced that hose under the coolant reservoir cap? Autozone sells it for cheap. You can get 2 ft if needed.
Should engine be hot or cold? Does it matter?
Drive around for 10 mins to get the fluid up to temperature and then park and cool down for 5 to 10 mins.
I dislike this I do have the type s I have the base model
Do you have a video doing the rear brakes on a 22 Camry with electric park brake?
@username36742 No I do not. Sorry!
The rear brakes are like any normal car. To release the rear electric e-brake you pull the button up 3 times down 3 times up again 3 times and then hold it down.
Ok thanks brother!!
Yo Ajay quick question I need your help bro I’m having issue with slipping gear ⚙️ and there is a little kicking too and I use the scanner and I have these codes p0777 p1745 p1780 p0745 p0761 please help me and I just bought the car three months ago this is not honest mechanic bro they are lying They telling me need to rebuild transmission the car go on lil mode D flashlight bro
I would check your transmission fluid first to see if it's pinkish and not low in fluid. If it has to be change do a 3×3 drain and refill. Change out the 3rd and 4th pressure switches. That alone should eliminate the blinking d light on your dash. If the problem still exist then you might need a rebuild or take it to another shop for a second opinion. I looked up your codes and there's many other switches that's not working correctly.
Dude is in the TL
Lol. I'm going to ride with the TL until the wheels falls off.
@@BayViewz my TL is down right now
@@mikebellagiomusicgaming1893 What happened?
I had to replace both fenders and my front bumper. But i got the unpainted parts since i ended up repainting my whole car (except the roof which i got wrapped in carbon fiber material) but i used 3 quarts of primer 5 quarts of base (white diamond) and 4 quarts of clear to fully repaint my 06 acura TL. The front bumper, aftermarket grill, 2x fenders, and my trunk lid were all black so that used up a decent amount of primer. The rest of the car was already white. But i also painted the engine bay. It took about 2 days doing it all by myself. Would of taken longer but the Florida heat helped a lot with drying. Your vehicle is super smooth though. Even though the bumper is a shade off it still looks great.
@No_Transitory Thanks. I noticed the bumper right after I installed it lol. Probably going to have to get the whole car painted now. What color did you paint the engine bay?
That resets only TCM (transmission)
Hello, I bought everything I needed and went to work on it. Jut to figure out that there is a cover in my car that prevents me from accessing the transmission fluid drain. Idk what to do now :( I don't trust a mechanic to fuck my transmission. Any advice? Thank you as always!
They're held on by plastic clips. Just make sure you have replacements in case they break when you take them out. Use a pry clip tool or a flat head screw driver. Take pics/videos before you take everything out. Hope this helps!
@BayViewz thank you a lot. Much appreciate it. I will try and let you know!!
Got a 2005 TL only had it for months of 2024, trans was replaced with 47,000k on the trans but its pausing in 2nd to 3rd gear but when you accelerate faster it wont pause. Should i replace the trans again or is it a few sensors thats going bad an the abs light , TSA an caution symbol is on the dash board.
I would get it scanned first for any codes. Check the transmission fluid to make sure it's pinkish and if brownish i would switch from Honda atf to Amsoil atf doing a 3×3 drain and refill and not a flush. I highly recommend Amsoil atf over Honda atf. Change out the transmission filter. Replace the 3rd and 4th pressure switches. Clean out your transmission solenoid because if the filter screens are clogged your transmission will hesitate or lags to shift from 1st to 2nd gear. Also do a ECU reset. I'll leave the links to all of my videos for all those I mentioned above. And as for the dash lights being on I would check all of your fuses from inside of the car to under the hood. Hope this helps and keep me posted. ua-cam.com/video/IS_KmZOPgNA/v-deo.htmlsi=ma9Bu0nM5tve_As5 ua-cam.com/video/_-12qhiD-RA/v-deo.htmlsi=9BIrHtGG7Q12F29W ua-cam.com/video/nkRZYnDrLu8/v-deo.htmlsi=s1eV0sXXKIFybKL7 ua-cam.com/video/dHHp-JcSfqk/v-deo.htmlsi=SyV4ak_zxDVEKtnM ua-cam.com/video/JQXkGZ9bEko/v-deo.htmlsi=p7b3ez0kZHi_e8oD
@BayViewz thank you, I'll start to do that on Monday any thank for the advice , I'll keep u posted.
Looks clean!!
I need some advice. I followed this flow on my 2003 G35 Sedan 6MT (all stock/original) with 90K miles, replacing my rear rotors, pads, slide pins and brake hoses. I finished up with a 2-person brake bleeding at all four wheels, being careful to keep the brake flued reservoir filled with DOT3 Nissan brake fluid as we were going along. I had my wife doing the brake pedal pumping -- I think she might have gotten a bit aggressive with the amount of force on the pedal. While bleeding the second wheel, she said "braking seems to be getting easier" and we continued on to bleed the four calipers. After bleeding was done and I topped off the brake fluid reservoir, I started the car and depressed the brake pedal to seat the new pads. I noticed there was very little brake resistance and the pedal went to the floor! Uggh. What do you think may have gone wrong? Might my wife's aggressive braking during bleed operation have blown the master cylinder?! Or brake booster??
Sounds like there's air in the brake lines. I would re-bleed all brake lines again. Then afterwards pump the brakes a few times until it gets hard before driving.
What do you average on the interstate with MPG? The best I ever received was 35mpg.
So I was driving through Nevada on I80 east and the speed limit is 70 mph. I average about 32 mpg with cruise control on because it was just a straight line driving through lol. Mind you I was moving and had a whole bunch of stuff in my car and in the trunk. Could have been better without those unnecessary weight lol. 35 mpg is pretty good for a 20 year old car.
I'm not looking forward to doing this
You got this! At the end it'll be all worth it.

@@BayViewz Thank you. Truly appreciate the help
@Doomedragon You welcome!
Congratulations my man. Beautiful wife BTW 😍
I am excited to do this with my car. I have already done 2 drain and fill services, so my plan was to install the switches and do a third trans service and hopefully she shifts close to new.
I would do one more drain and refill, change out the transmission filter and then change out the switches afterwards. But that's just me lol.
@@BayViewz where is the transmission filter on this? My mechanic told me it was non-serviceable
@johnlowe2218 what year is your TL?
@@BayViewz 2008 Acura TL base. I asked my mechanic about the filter specifically because I was going to change it along with the timing belt and water pump service I just did but he told me it is not accessible on this car.
@johnlowe2218 He's correct. 2007 to 2008 TL Transmission filter is not serviceable. But I would do another drain and refill before replacing the 3rd/4th pressure switches. Also doing a ecu reset will significantly improve throttle response.
Did you install both washers on the banyan bolt. There are two washers on the banyan bolt.. a front and rear.
Noticed that he only put one as well. Those take 2 washers .
Next stop is the restroom!
🤢🤢🤢
was it the same steps for the rears brake ?
The bolt size might be different, but other than that basically the same steps.
@@BayViewz thanks man !
You welcome!
Will doing this job fix my low oil pressure light blinking rapidly once every thing else seem to be fine??
I would get the car scanned first to see if anything shows up before assuming anything else.
@@BayViewz the only two 3 codes two codes I have is heated o2 sensor malfunction and manufacture code for throttle body none of those are related to the oil pressure I have no codes for that whatsoever which is throwing me off
Nice! Have you ever had to change O2 or MAF sensors?
I never had the need to change them yet.
Very nice. I love my 2004 grey TL They have a style
Even in 2024 the styling and design is still up there with the modern cars of today.
@@BayViewz yes!
Headed in the right direction!
So does 1x1 fluid change mean you only drain and refill it once? 2x2 is doing it twice, and 3x3 you did it three times? What is the benefits to doing this, it removes all the dark colours from the fluid? I heard of a 1x2 is that a thing?
I never heard of 1×2. But yes! You do a 3×3 to drain out almost all of the old fluid. Now I said almost all because you can't completely drain it out from the torque converter. So each time you do a drain and refill, drive for like 10 to 15 mins and then drain and refill. Do this 3 times and then change out the transmission filter afterwards. You're thank me later lol!
@@BayViewz I live in Canada so for some reason I couldn’t find any amsoil at any nearby stores like Walmart and Canadian tire so I ended up doing a 1x1 but changed my transmission filter 2 years ago, idk when I’ll do it again since I don’t wanna risk blowing this beast up lol. But I see how the recirculating allows the fluid to be red and stuff with the 3x3 method because my fluid is still very dark and almost black after the 1x1
I ordered from the Amsoil website. They might have a discount for creating an account there.
Hi sir. Thank you so much for the videos. Changing my life. Quick question: is the 3rd and 4th switches the same? Or they are 2 different pieces?
They're 2 different colors/pieces, but be careful as they do fit one another lol. Just make sure which switch goes for what so you don't have to redo them all over again.
@@BayViewz nice! Thank you a lot. How is the 3rd switcher called?
@@leonardopab5 3rd switch 28610 rke 004 4th switch 28600 rke 004
@@BayViewz thank you very much man!!
Thank you very much for this video. I have a 2004 Acura too with 260k miles. I was about to spend good money on it. By the way, has your Acura ever started blinking the D panel green light?
Yes it happened twice. The culprit was a bad 3rd & 4th pressure switches. Buy original only.
@BayViewz awesome, I was watching a video, and it seems I have to access it from behind the left tire, right?
Correct. Take off the front driver side wheel.
Bro, I can not thank you enough! The throttle response after doing what you did became far more responsive!
I got a an issue where the car would go into 3rd and hard shift into it and when I put it into D the light won't show up on the cluster
Looks like you have some oil leaks underneath
Hello, I like your video very much, I think what you said is very good, I would like to invite you to test our scanner for free, how can I contact you?
If your gonna take the time to make videos to upload make sure people can hear you
I can hear him fine.
Can someone tell me how to get the sensor out without a hook tool?
You need to warn people about the parking brake- if its on, and the person doesnt check it or do the old wheel spin trick, you could cause someone to mess up their parking brake sensor thus costing them $$$ to get it fixed
What symptoms did the car have?
@JuanCarloscastillo-j6s I noticed oil drips from that exact location. Other than that no check engine light, codes or performance issues.
would that fluid work for my 05 TL? does the year matter? just making sure. also i seen your other video on replacing the transmission filter. What do you recommend on doing first ?
@ulyssescovarrubias8460 The Amsoil ATF is good for 2004 - 2008 Acura TLs. You can go to their website just to make sure. I would recommend doing a 3×3 ATF change first and then change out the transmission filter after.
@@BayViewz Thanks for the feedback bro. i just ordered my 2.5 gallon right now ! lol
You welcome. You won't be disappointed. Keep me posted.
How many miles between oil changes????
The recommendation in the manual book would suggest every 3000 miles. But depending on the kind of oil you get that brand may recommend 5000 miles or even 10000 miles. But for me I always do every 3 months or when my oil life is at 20%. So I'll say between 3000 to 4000 miles give or take.
@@BayViewz Thank you. What i'm going to do is check on my dash to see
@patriciadrank6543 correct. It will tell you your oil life percentage.
How to measure for the exact 5.7? Or put entire 6 quarts of oil
To be exact, make sure you have 2 empty containers because the amount that comes out is the exact amount you would want to put in. It may come out 5 quarts or 6 quarts every vehicle varies.
nice video but completely left out the fender work i just wanna know where the fucking enclosed seal goes ON THE FENER 😭
