The Left sees the working class as the proletariat, barely human subjects who must be led by their betters, the intelligentsia and nomenklatura. I remember when "Workers of the world, UNITE!" was replaced by contempt for "hard hats" and "rednecks".

The working man drives a “worktruck” to the jobsite. A truck that combusts fossil fuel. The working man cannot take his drivers, drills, saws, and hand tools to the jobsite everyday.

They're at war with the working class.

Sounds like you don't understand what matters to working class people. While it is true that the Democrats in the US, and the Liberals in Canada are notorious for bad messaging, a glance at the actual policy differences indicates that working class are much better off with center-left parties in power. Joe Biden is the most pro-union President in decades, and his investments in infrastructure and support of manufacturing have been greatly benefitted working people. The only thing Donald Trump accomplished was a tax cut that helped the rich. In Canada, the Trudeau government has significantly lowered child poverty with the child benefit program, while increasing income taxes on those earning over $250,000 a year, and lowering them for everyone else. There has always been a fringe left They used to be touting Karl Marx, and now they're touting equity programs and languages. Meanwhile, the right is promoting discriminatory programs, cuts to social assistance, and lowering corporate taxes. Doesn't sound like much of a change.

The use of identity, instead of terminology is pretty telling. The answer is VERY simple. They are not progressive, and they aren't left. (if you don't understand what those terms mean, than literally anybody can make claims to them) North Korea is a "Democratic Republic" (they say so) --- Try to answer: Where did the left right dichotomy originate? What did it represent? From that context who could ever represent the working class?

You do not have a working class. everyone is working class. You do no have a leisure class.

What I have found is it specifically despises the idea of normal in all western civilisation. The goal is to subvert and destroy normal. It does this by forcing titles on people of good guy and bad guy and always the white male is the bad guy.
