Lets not compound that tragedy by throwing our men in blue under the bus. Sadly, his own colleagues are selling him out - perhaps for political reasons. The reality is that by the merits of the case, Sean Grayson is innocent and Sonya was the initial aggressor: 1. She prepared the pot of boiling liquid BEFORE inviting the officers into her home. Why do you think she had a large pot of boiling liquid at 1:00 AM? Where's the spaghetti? 2. The officers did NOT tell her to move, pick up, or do anything to the pot. She rushed to do that of her own accord after Grayson pointed at it to the other officer. They were a lot closer than it appears in the fisheye body camera lens. BTW, a knife is a serious threat, even against someone wielding a gun when within 20 feet. This is the famous 20-foot rule regarding the dangers of non-firearm weapons. She was a lot closer than that. 3. Instead of merely turning off the stove and resuming looking for her DL, she put on oven mitts and moved the pot from the stove to where it was a few feet closer to them. 4. She was saying bizarre stuff about the car not being hers, and prior to that she made the officers wait 3 minutes outside probably while she was putting the pot on the stove. She also had that snide or sinister comment about "getting her papers". Her paranoid schizophrenia, if not already in full swing, became triggered when the officers moved back a bit. She noticed and asked why. 5. Grayson's camera view shows that she had the pot on the counter's edge at the sink location. She says that crazy thing about rebuking them in the name of Jesus, which is just a prelude to what she intends to do-and ultimately does do. From his camera, you can see that she turns towards Grayson, and her hands are still on the pot! In fact, with two oven mitts on, her upper body facing Grayson, and her hands remaining on the pot, it looks like she might throw it. Keep in mind her rebuking statement, which has a historical track record of being a prelude to an attack by the one uttering it. Grayson draws his firearm and tells her to drop it. She immediately lets go of the pot. It remains on the edge of the sink-counter, and she ducks down behind the peninsula-counter while still holding the oven mitts to where she can't be seen by either BODY CAMERA. However, a person's eyes are above the location of the body camera, so the officers see more than what is revealed in the camera footage. 6. Contrary to lies being repeatedly told, Grayson did not rush into her personal space, but instead moved about one half step forward and to his right - to where he could see the woman who had threatened him which is an entirely normal and reasonable thing for an officer to do. She could have had a gun beneath the counter. 7. The camera footage shows her about a second later with the pot again in her hands. This means she grabbed the pot while off-camera. She then hurls it at them. Grayson's partner is right behind him, so retreating would have been less safe. Massey takes a round while the pot is mid-throw. 8. Grayson's camera shows that she threw the pot and steaming liquid. Both cameras captured steaming liquid streaming towards them. It seems likely that her attack would have caused severe burns if she hadn't taken a round to the head at the very moment she was hurling it. As tragic as this incident was, it could have been worse. Thankfully, both officers remained unharmed. Hopefully the charges against Sean Grayson will dropped when these truths become known. If it goes to court we should all pray the facts of the case will prevail rather than baser emotions. In conclusion, she initiated threatening behavior AND the use of deadly force. Thus the use of deadly force against her satisfies ALL 5 of elements of self-defense. Do you really want to live in a world where our men in blue need to absorb a boiling liquid attack without giving them the option to defend themselves? Remember, the attack did not occur in a wide open space, but in a space where retreat was not their safest option. All Sonya had to do was turn off the stove without picking up the pot! However she picked it again. All she had to do was put the pot down again and she would still be living, but she chose to throw it! In my community it would be a foregone conclusion that one's life would be forfeit if they attacked the police as Sonya did. There seems to be something about Sonya's community that expects an unreasonable amount of grace for them.

This is great comment--there are two sides to every coin. Thank you for contributing to the discussion. We are very interested to see what evidence comes out in the trial. There is a lot more that can be said but I would just encourage others to listen to the episode... and thank you for listening.

@@removingbarriers Media outlets and most pundits-or wannabe pundits-completely ignore key evidence in this case. They overlook the fact that the pot was prepared as a weapon: it contained no spaghetti, and it was intentionally prepared while officers were en route or waiting to be admitted. They disregard how Massey telegraphed her intent to do harm through her body positioning and her rebuking statement. They also dismiss the reality that boiling liquid can cause mortal harm and that, in such small quarters, the officers were in imminent danger of her throwing it. And, most importantly, she actually threw it! Instead, the media, uninterested in these critical facts, focus solely on framing this incident to support their narrative that minorities are systematically abused by police. This perspective is fundamentally misleading, as evidenced by the following statistic: "A police officer is 18½ times more likely to be killed by a Black male than an unarmed Black male is to be killed by a police officer." This statistic, by the way, is part of a broader argument refuting the idea of systemic racial bias in policing. - which is something the media never wants to talk about.

Video Proves Innocence. Grayson's body camera footage shows Sonya throwing boiling liquid at the officers. No critic of Officer Grayson has been able to refute that. Since you haven’t addressed it, you implicitly concede the point. And if you concede that, then Officer Grayson’s claim of proportionate response to a deadly threat remains unchallenged. Media outlets and most pundits-or wannabe pundits-completely ignore this key evidence in this case. They overlook the fact that the pot was prepared as a weapon: it contained no spaghetti, and it was intentionally prepared while officers were en route or waiting to be admitted. They disregard how Massey telegraphed her intent to do harm through her body positioning, adjusting her grip and turning towards the officer with a baleful expression accompanied by her rebuking statement. Remember, they explained to her why they were worried, and instead of becoming less threatening, she doubled down by giving a baleful stare and repeating her rebuking statement. Even after that, they did not shoot her. They waited until she threw the pot. Also, please recall that the mere perception of a threat by an officer, as long as it falls within the realm of reasonableness, would justify the officer in displaying a show of force. Don't disregard the reality that boiling liquid can cause mortal harm and that, in such small quarters, the officers were in imminent danger of her throwing it. And, most importantly, she actually threw it! Instead, the media, uninterested in these critical facts, focus solely on framing this incident to support their narrative that minorities are systematically abused by police. This perspective is fundamentally misleading, as evidenced by the following statistic: "CENSORED." This statistic, by the way, is part of a broader argument refuting the idea of systemic racial bias in policing. - which is something the media never wants to talk about.

It would be ironic if atheists fearing the Muslim religion starts supporting Christianity, at least cultural Christianity, when Christians who should not be just supporting it, but actively living it are not. If would be advisable for Christians to become more involved and investigate what their religion iis about and what its benefits are and become active in living it. This is important not only on account of other religions taking over. In is also important with talk of trans humanism, of humans embedded with technology or whatever other nightmare might arise. If a blank is left it will be filled with something and Christians should start actively thinking about what they have before they lose it to something they might not want to live with..

Let me tell you one thing as a religious jew. Ben shapiro is not a fanatic jew and is not the type to get upset about someone saying something offensive to judaism. Ben was merely telling joe rogan that jews don't believe in jesus. If they did, they wouldn't be jews. He doesn't mean to attack Christianity and he has upset enough jews by denying that the splitting of the Reed Sea was a miracle. Ben was upset that candace sided with Kanye and defended his antisemitism. When it came to Israel and she sided with the attackers of the state of israel and interviewed norman finkelstein- a rabid israel haters. If Ben did anything wrong it was attacking candace in public while she was still working for him. She responded by using anti semitic tropes. Knowing how aggressive candace is, I am sure she refused to back down about anything. Ben is not obliged to pay for anyone who will say anti israel things on daily wire. Christ is king is not the issue for Ben. He has always insisted that he wants more christians to go to church. He defends christians and Christianity at every turn. This has nothing to do with christ

Lol im a hindu and live in india and have never even been to america but i find it unbelievably stupid how there are few so called "christians" who attack vivek just cuz he is Hindu while not saying anything against satanist who burn bible, abuse Christians and jesus and try to mutilate kids and support pedophelia. They are satanist moles pretending to be Christians to created divide between Republicans to create a vote divide and democrats will win, typical kkk tactic. If Democrats win 1 more time it will be the last election in US history and US will officially turn into a dictatorship like canada. Trump will be in jail and anyone who says anything against the Democrat party will be in jail or there bank account banned like they did to truckers in Canada and all your kids will be transgender. And for dump people who compare him with obama with there fraudulent logic, OBAMA WAS A DEMOCRAT. I too think Trump was the best President in past 50 years in American history and the first time in decades world was peaceful including middle east but can't reject how he let a bio-terrorist poke people with poison into there system. Don't let them fool you. Stop buying or supporting business or people who support the child mutilation ideology. Do business, buy groceries, use services that doesn't align with the rainbow ideology. If you see a restaurant with a manager with blue green purple hair go eat somewhere else even if it costs 2-5 dollars more. Home-school your kids. Buy them finance/bussiness/investment books and they'll learn far far more than they will learn from in school and university. Start investing in decentralized assets. At the end of the day in 2024 you will be relying on the same voting system that you relyed on in 2020. If you think in 2024 you will elect someone who will come save you then you're indirectly confessing to yourself that 2020 elections were fair and system is not rigged. Just a decade ago, even Obama could not fake his religious identity, he had to join a fake christian denomination to garner votes. How much this country has fallen to tolerate a pagan man whose religion promotes transgenderism (Educate yourselves folks: hinduism's main chant is OM, which has a vowel in it and there are no archeology records of hindu religion, written or oral, without vowels in them. Vowels were invented only in 750BC, making this a modern religion invented by renegade tribe of Manases when they fled to Asia from the Assyrian invasion of Hebrews (721 BC). Also, OM is the sound that the female avatar of Vishnu vocalizes while copulating with Shiva - aka the destroyer - this religion is very much focussed on the lower faculties, especially transgenderism - the female Vishnu then trans* himself by transferring her female organ onto the peacock, hence you will find his images adorned with a peacock feather.) Also, look up the practice of devdasi and how it exploits children - these are evil roots of Vivek - a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. These are the words of Christ - listen those who have ears and understand - Matthew 7: 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit. It is very sad to see Americans lose their Christianity and equate Christianity to all other forms of diabolic worships and worldviews.

Romans 10:9,10,13 (KJV) 9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. We have to be careful NOT to add anything to salvation. We are assuming, of course, that when you said "Christian" you meant repentant faith in Jesus Christ. It is true that once a person is truly saved, their identity should be in Christ, and all worldly identities and beliefs are then to be subject to Christ. Thanks for listening and adding to the discussion.

Thanks for the discussion, I think it's not useful to compare specific interpretations of 'Hinduism' and assume that it reflects Vivek's mode of thinking or strong beliefs by proxy. The Supreme Court of India after decades of deliberations was unable to come up with a clear answer to what hinduism even was and left it at " A way of life" and "a state of mind". That happens to cover both things you discussed where your interpretation of Christianity that demanded true christianity mean a state of mind (belief in Jesus) vs merely a way people conduct themselves (pratice/behavior that resonates with certain values that are agnostic) It's better to go off Vivek's personal understanding of his faith as a self-identified Hindu (watch his graduation speech when he was 18 etc.) From what I can tell of Vivek's faith based on his interviews, he believes that he is not in control but something bigger is working through him. That sounds like a person who believes in duties and obligations in a cosmic sense rather than a personal sense. Maybe this is at odds with other people's faiths, maybe it's not, maybe it's a bit of both, but i urge you to consider the complexity of human beliefs rather than try to understand it through what people prosletyzing for a faith tend to package and promote as the "true way that we believe [insert religion]", they are almost always wishing that other people believe what they believe rather than giving a neutral description of what they believe others share in common with their faith.

@wwkk4964 Thanks for listening and for adding to the discussion! You bring up a good point: people are complex and their behavior depends on what they believe, that is, their personal understanding of their faith. More in-depth explanations of his personal understanding of Hinduism would indeed be incredibly useful for gauging what his presidency would look like, but sources are scant. If you know of any other sources beyond his graduation speech, please do share! We'd love to learn more.

@@removingbarriers Thanks. I just don't know if he has embraced faith using a rational mode of thinking vs spiritual awakening and these tend to be different. In the first one, people have a sense of what and why and usually some kind of rationalization for it, much like how you were discussing on your podcast. It can also happen in reverse but then the reasonings come as a post rationalization and years of reflection incrementally. I just don't think he's had that kind of time thinking about these things based on my understanding of his graduation speech, and dave smith podcast about a week ago where he was discussing his journey as someone who became atheist or skeptic and then got faith back before the birth of his first son. Likely has something to do with his first massive failure with collapse of his Alzheimer's drug but then redemption with the other drugs he developed But that's just me trying to reverse engineer a persons beliefs from the ups and downs in life he's seen.

I don't think nature would agree with Dawkins that sex is entirely binary. Maybe it intends to be but in the reality of the phenotype it is not. Males can be born with female characteristics and females with those of males. It in effect creates 'intersex' individuals. It is women with man-like physiologies who are undermining women's athletics, not transexuals.
