My favorite. The collection is awesome too!
I love it.
What is the national bird of Palm Springs ?. You didn't say, that kid with the blower got into the way.
Outrageous...I respect this.
Hey Guys , Cool Tiki & Nice Vid !.....())))):<)____)))... -=CC=-
Enjoyable video to watch. Lovely home, and very entertaining dog.
Thanks!!!! And that old school bathroom lol funny to see but in good shape.
What a beautiful home!
:)
Love the house and furniture.
Fantastic talk, Chris! Thanks for sharing this incredible story about you and Wm. Krisel!
Thank you for showing us this!
Just loving the design, but I have to add, Dan Palmer was also an architect with William Krisel. Please, don’t leave him out! I had the pleasure of meeting him when I worked on their 1st built home built together right out of college in Sherman Oaks for their attorney. I have a video of that somewhere. I’ll look for it. But, just a note, Palmer was the true non ego brain behind the designs. Krisel was very egotistic. Let’s give credit where credit is due.
Love, love, love it. I have walked by (with my dog) in the daytime many times, but will have to check it out at night!
Your home is stunning!
Great history. Love your tulip table.
This reminds me of a neighborhood in Alexandria, Va, There used to be a Tv show for children every morning, I think it was Mrs Frances' or Mrs Connie's morning nursery class. She lived in one of the houses and I think the houses was very similar to these show here, lots of glass.
Have visited PS twice. Absolutely lovely place! I enjoyed this video very much.
Looking very nice.😊
Live this so much! Brick is hilarious!
Wow! I've been looking an home like that and Palm Springs, too since I was born! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! Wonderful!
Thank you for sharing.😊
Thank you for sharing your home.😊
Too cute with a little one running around!!😊😊
I don't understand people who come in and remove the original wallpapers and original paint colors, paint everything WHITE, then call it a "restoration". Restoration is to make something look like it would have when it was first built...If the house had dark brown paint and wallpaper on the ceilings, that's what the original owners intended it to look like. I have to say that my modern aesthetic definitely prefers the new version, just don't call it a "restoration".
If they did it the way it's done in Australia, you'd scour as many sources - previous owners, local government, papers, etc to get as much information as possible. But there may be little available, except family photos. They have no trouble funding the "renovations". I noticed they are donors to a Chicago architectural group, so they aren't unfamiliar with what's needed.
Lovely interesting folks. Rock on, and thx for your efforts.
OMG, I want to live here so bad ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Now this is real mid century design.
I've always liked midcentury modern architecture, but in the desert, I'd think with all that glass, it would cost a fortune to cool. Perhaps replacing it with low e double glazing would help, and using swamp coolers instead of airconditioners would make it liveable.
Solar is a great desert choice.
I absolutely love your enthusiasm for preserving MCM era of your house and beyond. Stunning work!!
This guy has exceptional taste, and not only for homes: he owns a Citroën DS.
Although it isn't my personal choice of aesthetic, I can clearly appreciate the design of that era. Very iconic when seen anywhere.
It is so important to preserve this style, it goes so well with the landscape and lifestyle.
Great video. Love to hear ppl so passionate about preserving these very cool homes!Thank you.
someone pulls up in a Rolls at the end...appropriate PS vehicle
Очень нравится ваш стиль, дизайн дома
I really enjoyed this video❤
I should be commenting on the house, the furnishings, and the home owner, but the dog has me in stitches....... What a comedian! He should have his own channel.
That was fun and informative. The vintage cars in the carport are my favorite touch .
Your home knocks my socks off.
Just happened to have this pop up in front of me tonight and I had to continue to view it since I lived in PS over 30 years ago and also lived in an Alexander built home on N. Orchid Tree. But in the beginning of the video I forgot about the subject matter when my mouth dropped over the 1970 Chrysler 300 Convertible in that color combo! Beautiful! As well as your house. My father was and I am a car guy and he had the same car in white/white/green with the Hurst Hood and trunk deck (but not a Gold/White Hurst model) and not only are those houses classic but of course, that 300 is also! So glad I watched this!
It's so perfect. ❤ even your 🐕
Thanks for sharing your home's colorful history and design in such an entertaining video.
Absolutely gorgeous! My dream home. 😍♥️🔥
Thanks for the tour and history of your beautiful mid-century home.
Thank you for allowing us to see the interior and exterior of this beautiful home.
thanks glad you enjoyed it . Courtney
The lady in the vintage video clip resembles the actress Eleanor Parker, the baroness, from the Sound of Music.
yes it does but I think it is actually the architects wife
I enjoyed your video, I am a part time PS resident into MCM and will look for you at Modernism Week. I am also volunteering for the first time, I am very excited.
all the charm of a Motel 6 combined with the utility of a strip center. MMMM MMMMM that's living.
This is amazing! Came across this on a random search after hearing of a demolished Neutra home. Thanks for the hard work!
