space weather, ghost atlas, and sea in the sky are the big three when it comes to absolute premium post progressive hardcore. this is beautiful and i myself will be contributing to the effort of making this reach more ears. how this only has 37k views at the time of typing this is beyond me.

Rock music is more niche than ever and I feel it has become too technical and progressive as a whole to ever be approachable for casual listeners. Not a knock on this band... they WANT to be seen as prog. Just something I have noticed the last ten years or so as a consequence of the audience becoming a more solid-core.
@@ProCoRat for what it’s worth, we don’t want to be seen as anything if it means we’re restricted to a specific sound. People can also call us though whatever genre they want as long as they’re into it! if you had to lump all of our discography into one genre, the best choice is probably post-hardcore. It’s safe to say though we have songs that scratch the prog itch while others are certainly more casual.
@@SpaceWeatherBand Well it is just fine to be technical and prog. I love that sort of stuff which is why I am here. But I am a former gigging musician... and I go to niche rock communities for Emo which used to be a broadly popular genre but nowadays I feel like every fan of Emo, particularly the more mathy Midwest variant, is a musician like me. Casual fans should not know about the difference between soft-clipping and hard-clipping drive pedals and should not be able to identify weird time signatures. IMO all the approachable stuff has been done so bands like yours look to make their way creatively by pushing the boundaries. It happens... just look at Jazz in the early 20th century. By the 50s? It was far too challenging for normal fans to enjoy without the need for an investment of time for research to familiarize themselves with the intricacies of the genre. That is what post-hardcore is becoming. Song is godlike btw. Nice work.

What a dumb take on the music, lol. Everyone has a different voice. People are comfortable singing in different registers. If you don't like it that's fine, go listen to something else, but trying to make fun of someone because they have a higher pitched voice is just stupid and really doesn't help anyone. Leave constructive criticism or don't bother. And it's not even _that_ high. You just sound like a dumbass tbh.
