    thank you. so in your experience what's most productive breed. we are farming in southern Africa and also do you sell locally where you are. thanks

      Thanks for your comment Grumpy. We use African genetics in Australia. The Dorper is good. Van Rooy is very good. The African Meatmaster (Dorper x Damara) is probably the best breed for our system of double joining per annum. They are poly oestrus, have lots of twins and are good mothers. YOu do have to feed them nitrogen rich foods (legumes, pulse grains or Urea under a forage crop or grass) to get the best results in lactations and conception rates. Then wean early down to 3 months.
