I was watching on that Thanksgiving day long ago from the living room of my home in the NW Minneapolis suburbs while my mom made our Thanksgiving feast! It was my Senior year of high school :D

Awww... this little ditty just earned you a spot in my head-canon, in which The Wizard Of Snark has bought Gizmonic Institute from Dr. Kabahl (THE MYSTERIOUS FINANCIER FROM THE FUTURE) in the wake of the meteoroid strike on the Gizmoplex and has completely shut out Kinga and Max... Joel Robinson, Jonah Heston and Emily Connor have joined the Tribunal Of The Imagination's Special Science Group along with Professor Bobo and Brain Guy, a parting gift from Pearl Forrester as she's off to enjoy a time-travel retirement.

I discovered MST3K, appropriately enough, one Thanksgiving in 1990, as an eight-year-old visiting my Grandpa Will at his home in White Cloud, Michigan. This was before my dad married his daughter (my stepmother), but it was here, during that year's Turkey Day Marathon, that I fell in love with what my future stepmother called "that dumb show where they talk over the movie." She may not have gotten it, but like Joel said- "The right people will get it." And I turned out to be the right people... The Movie kept me sane during my Navy A-school years later, and this show has been there for me as both a sanctuary and source of inspiration from Joel to Mike to Jonah and Emily.

Anyone with a heart would be downright honored to have a song like this written for them. This one brought me to tears. Great work, Zoe.

😳OMG! I never thought that the day would come in which a beautiful young woman would write and perform a heartwarming love song dedicated to Mystery Science Theater 3000. I don’t even know what to say. I’m way beyond speechless. I thought MST 3K would be just another comedy show for guys and guys only and maybe some kids as well. I didn’t know that even women would be touched and loved by this show also. I never expected that to happen😳

Girls getting overly emotional over Disney is no surprise at all, but I never thought that the day would come in which a girl like you would give Mystery Science Theater 3000 the same type of emotional love treatment the way that most women would easily do with this Disney. This without a doubt is way beyond a touching heartwarming beautiful surprise. Thank you very much young lady, you just made my night. I myself never heard of MST 3K up until the summer of 1993 when I was on vacation with my family visiting other relatives. I had nothing good to watch on TV up until the last minute when I saw a black and white movie being accompanied by a black silhouette at the bottom of the screen. Because of their comical riffing, I took a liking and eventually a loving towards this show almost immediately and I too have been a MST Fan ever since🙂👍

I found MST3K around the same time My mom’s bf would bring home sketchy dvds with different episodes on them and from there it just…became part of who I am. And I’m so glad it did cuz I love MSTies y’all are some of the most chill and friendly people on the web :)

Thank you for sharing such a sweet story. I found MST3k in 1996. I was lonely and sad and watching that first episode (Overdrawn at the Memory Bank) made me feel like I was watching a movie with friends. It’s been a lifeline for me during dark times.
