I don't have a Steam Deck so I have no idea. But I suppose it will work the same way as the Steam client on Linux. So either switch the whole Steam compatibility client to proton 8 in settings-compatibility- Steam Play, or better for the selected game- properties- enforce compatibility or something like that it's there and select the proton version under which this game should run.

Use the Steam client for linux( in Linux Mint just from the terminal: sudo apt install steam. In Steam settings, enable Steam Play for all games and install CoD MW3. The game runs right away without any additional configuration including single player. The Steam client under Lutris doesn't run well and I wouldn't recommend that route today. Steam client under Linux works perfectly.

Anyway, win9x under Dosbox in Dosbian doesn't run very well and it's more of a curiosity. Hey. Hey. I would say that 3DFX gives the best performance in Linux Dosbox ECE, 3DFX via voodoo1 emulation must be enabled in Dosbox.conf. I don't use debian, but I assume it will work the same as in Linux Mint on which my Dosbuntu project is based where it works.

I am not a windows user so I am not familiar with these programs. But for writing iso with Dosbuntu, all programs designed for writing iso to usb drive should work. Of the best known ones for windows, I think it's Rufus.

I have three PCs and only one is new enough to use UEFI but it freezes on that one too, though it might be due to me setting that machine to legacy boot? Regardless, I will try the legacy build of DOSBuntu 3.0 and let you know. If I do manage to get it working I would be happy to write a quite "dosbuntu setup guide" for you to share with others.

But then you need other complex modifications, like editing configuration files and all Dosbox.conf, dozens of files. If you want the latest version of Dosbuntu then download version 3.0. (32bit is not supported) Version 3.0 is probably the last final version.

Dosbuntu includes 4 different versions of Dosbox ( SVN, ECE, X, Staging ) Each version has its own advantages. For example, Win9x runs well under Dosbox-X, but again achieves the lowest DOS emulation performance.

Ahoj, obavám se, že ta GPU hru jednoduše není schopná v Linux spustit. Její výkon nebude vysoký a to bude podle mě ten důvod proč hra neběží. Je třeba si uvědomit, že Linux není nativní systém pro tu hru takže výkon může být znatelně nižší v Linux pod wine/proton. U každé hry je to jinak a někdy může být ten rozdíl ve výkonu u dané hry win vs Linux opravdu velký a hra se pak v Linux ani nespustí na hw, který je na hraně tu hru spustit. Hra by se měla spustit na dedikované GPU s parametrem spuštění prime-run %command% pokud máš hru na Steam. Taky je potřeba nainstalovat ovladače Nvidia v Linux, aby běžely i hry, matně si to vzpomínám z doby, kdy jsem míval Nvidia GTX 750TI. Používám Linux Mint a tam se grafický ovladač instaloval jednoduše přes správce ovladačů. Teď už mám v pc AMD RX 6600XT a to je jiná liga a není potřeba žádné ovladače řešit.

I have GTA V on Epic Games. The Heroic Games Launcher can install and launch games from Epic Games and GOG using wine or proton. Supposedly the Steam version of the game also works seamlessly under the Steam client for Linux via proton

Hi, I tried gta5 on the heroic launcher it runs well but I don't know why after some time it gets freezes and when I first started the game where I enabled cloud saving it's keep loading on the loading screen. Do you have any idea🙂

@@veerverma5586 Hi, unfortunately I don't know, the game works fine for me. Try turning on virtual desktop in winecfg to see if that helps, a different version of proton and if night doesn't help I would try deleting the game prefix and running the game to have a new one created.

Ahoj, ano taky myslím, že Radeony jsou pro Gaming v Linux lepší, ale co vím tak lidi ve FB skupině Gaming on Linux CZ/SK hrajou i na Nvidia, tak možná by stálo za to se tam zeptat jaké ovladače a jaké nastavení používají. U AMD je to snadnější, nemusíš řešit žádné ovladače, nic, nainstaluješ Steam a hned můžeš hrát.

@@danielrepka7130 Já používám Vulkan beta drivery od Nvidie kvůli tomu, abych mohl používat nejnovější Vulkan extensiony pro rychlejší a stabilnější chod DirectX 12 her, hlavně jsou na verzi 525, kde se nenachází ty větší regrese oproti 535. Je to prostě blbý takhle řešit ty ovladače oproti AMD a Intelu. Na AMD a Intelu prostě připojím grafiku a nic nemusím řešit, protože Linux jádro už ty ovladače má, a hlavně díky Valve jsou AMD ovladače na Linuxu prostě top.

Hi, I used this patch and yes there is a problem with the keyboard but it is possible to run the game using the gamepad. There is, however, a problem with the sound in the game that I have not been able to solve. I switched to Linux about a year and a half ago and so far I've been able to run every game I wanted perfectly fine, Juiced is my first disappointment. Hi, I've experimented a bit with the game again and have had success. The game works better for me now, I didn't even have to use the patch from Github and the game can be controlled properly with the keyboard. Switch winecfg to windows xp. I will investigate further, the only thing that doesn't work for me so far is the music in the game. If I have more information and manage to solve the music problem I will try to describe the procedure to you. You need to install visual studio 2012 and dinput8 in the prefix game using winetricks. For now just like this, when I know more I will get back to you. I'm currently using wine 8.0-1 to run the game and 32bit prefix. And try this version od game Repack by MagiPack which contains almost all patches for the game.

Ahoj. Na záznam videí se mi nejlépe osvědčil SimpleScreenRecorderm který je dostupný v repozitářích snad všech Linuxových distribucí. OBS Studio jsem zkoušel také,ale jeho nastavení mi nevyhovovalo, přišlo mi zbytečně složité,ale záznam také bez problémů fungoval. Záznam videí z her je v SimpleScreenRecorder ideální se zapnutým Vsync ve hře a záznam při 60FPS, takto je výsledné video vždy nejlépe plynulé co jsem zkoušel, proto záznam takto pořizuji vždy. Daň záznamu videa je vždy snížení jistého počtu FPS. Největší propad FPS při záznamu jsem zatím zaznamenal u Doom External, kde místy záznam snížil FPS až o 30, ale stále je prakticky vždy s mým HW možný záznam při plynulých 60FPS ve všech hrách co mám na Ultra nebo velmi vysoké detaily. Můj aktuální HW je Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB 3200Mhz DDR4 a RX6600XT 8GB, starší videa jsou většinou také na stejném základu jen s mojí dřívější slušně přetaktovanou GTX 750TI 2GB. Jinak v Linux je určitě mnohem lepší volba GPU od AMD, právě z důvodu těch ovladačů, které jsou přímo v Kernel a není potřeba dál nic řešit. Ale na Nvidia se dá samozřejmě taky velmi kvalitně hrát v Linux v dnešní době, ovladače jsou co vím v distribucích tylu Linux Mint nebo Ubuntu a určitě i mnoha dalších dostupné ve správě ovladačů kde se dají jednoduše na dva kliky nainstalovat. Ještě doplním, že při záznamu často u náročnějších her používám Gamemode, který drží na maximálních taktech jak cpu tak gpu s mým nastavením a velmi pomáhá v plynulosti hry při záznamu.

Ještě jednou chybou bohužel hra trpí a přišel jsem na ni až po dlouhé době , když jsem potřeboval použít mapu. V addon Fist Aplha bohužel hra při otevření mapy spadne. Bez používání mapy jde hrát s Vcstarter 1.7 beta bez problémů. Kdyby se vám problém podařilo náhodou vyřešit tak by to bylo super.
