Alien 3 is my favourite Alien film. No way is it the worst!! And they had to kill off Newt and Hicks because Alien 3 is just not an Action film.

Every Alien sequel is pretty much a remake of the first one.

I would agree the best performances in an "Eli Roth" film. Keanu Reeves is so quotable in this movie, like when he says "Suuuure" i say that all the time. I mostly like it cus I remember a lot about it, not just the Graphic Sex, its pretty hilarious. Part of what makes it funny in ways, the titillating nature of the dialogue, it balances so much commentary and humor effortlessly. How the girls are talking in a normal conversation, and just randomly say something personal and gratuitous, lol just to turn him on subliminally. I also think this is the first time I seen "Ana de Armas" in a film. Glad you reviewed this, cus it's a guilty pleasure for sure.

Agree with you on this one, I think Covenant is awful too. Are you comparing this against the Predator franchise too? The predator is by far the worst film if you include those ones too.

I agree with everything you said about this, I think it was way overhyped. I hate when movies put 'nods' to better movies into theirs. It just reminds you that you could be watching a better movie instead of this.

Nah man "Aliens Vs Predators: Requiem" is the worst ever. Like an 0/10. if you count that one

I personally think Alien: Resurrection is the worst. Couldn't stand the unintentional slap stick in that movie.

Better than Avatar

The movie really dropped the ball in the second half. The whole addition of the Night Stalker only for the reveal to occur renders the film meaningless. Honestly, a better movie would either see this being alternative timeline where Maxine hunts for the Night Stalker to avenge her friends, even attempting to save Molly Bennett. Basically a female version of Taxi Driver, but just like that movie, instead of being seen as some righteous vigilante, she's a blood thirsty psychopath, almost like Pearl was. The movie can either see her either confronting and/or killing the Night Stalker, only to see herself a bit in him. Or don't even show the Night Stalker it's more ambiguous. OR... maybe the movie could've seen Maxine getting the roles she wanted but never can earn. And no amount of blonde hair and perky breasts will ever get her the fame she believes she'd be entitled to. This lead her to become unhinged and take desperate measures like Pearl does in the last movie. Maxine ends up murdering people so it can convince those to hired her, even her own friends/castmates, despite not doing anything to her to deserve it. Maybe have her be the person they suspect for the Night Stalker murders, and it's only a matter of time before she's either caught or killed. But no, instead we got a "plot twist" (which I never could understand how Maxine couldn't figure that it's probably her father) and religious extremist final battle with parent, except with nothing supernatural like Carrie. But considering how the cops do most of the action throughout the climax including wounding her father, despite Maxine making the final blow, it just doesn't have the same impact like X did. Honestly, another thing that should have happened is cutting the dad and PI character John out of the movie. Perhaps, maybe for a short cameo, like Maxine calling him or something, but maybe have him try searching for Maxine, but gave up, especially after she changed her number. Maxine tells him that this is on her, not him, and whatever will happen to her, she'd face the punishment herself.

Congratulations. I admire you for telling the truth. It could garner praise for this film and triple its audience numbers. This film is like the God's Not Dead franchise. Horrible films that repeat what fundamentalists and reactionaries want to hear. Note that he rarely praises the scenes, characters and phrases and praises the speech. Unfortunate. This is just like Hollywood. Politics above art.

This film is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. I love nearly everything Eli Roth does, and this full showcases his nasty, mean spirited sense of humour, excellent oracrical effe ts, and unlikeable charaters really well. A fun film!

The Spy Kids guy was also in "World's greatest dad". I think this is a terrible movie, it's mostly the acting that is bad, and non interesting personalities. The filmmaking is very good, did you ever watch "Cannibal holocaust"?

I can't say these first two movies are top 20 best scifi for me, but this one if my favorite, and My favorite from "James Cameron"

If I've seen "Aliens," oh my holy moly!! I've seen it lots of times. Along to : A new Hope, Terminator 2, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Matrix, DieHard, and more. These movies...well... let's just say that they're kind of an addiction to me. This movie in particular has great scenes, great characters, great moments (when Ripley starts to manipulate the "mecha" 🤯). Practical effects are timeless. The fact that Ripley has to fight against the Quenn, blows my mind. Oh and you're definitely right about Paul's character, he is a delightful villain. Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend!

It was cute and charming, but I find it hard to believe this was the only script they had.

They used a lot of the same old jokes that they used in the first one. They were not the best, but there was some were funny jokes.

The third one is the worst one. It's a John Landis comedy with a guest-starring role for Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley. Its tone is more like The Blues Brothers compared to the first two movies. At least the new one followed the tone of those two and was enjoyable and definitely not the worst in anyway.

I'd argue that when you make a movie from a killer's point of view, it's no longer a slasher/horror flick but rather torture/murder porn. The focus is no longer on the discovery, mystery, or tension but instead on the violence alone.
