Here is my SM-3 anti-ballistic missile being put in a stressful situation. In this engagement, the incoming nuclear warhead has a trajectory with a much steeper reentry angle than the previous one. The SM-3 is also set to launch from near the targeted impact site.

Here's a demonstration of my take on RIM-161 Standard Missile 3(SM-3). It performs exo-atmospheric intercept of IRBMs/ICBMs in their midcourse phase. Been working on and off it for a little while and finally decided to finish it. Features many different guidance and control schemes given the requirements for intercept. Will be modifying this soon to perform Anti-Satellite operations.

Nice missile. Can you make a tutorial on locking missiles because I’ve been trying to make an f-16 with missiles that lock on to their target but their always off by around 20-100 metres and that even happens when I’m 50 metres away from the target plane. So, either I’m terrible at Vizzy or I keep accelerating too fast.
Please teach us on how you programed that flight path of that missile automatically. To be honest, my guidance system is currently sucks.😭 Like my programming subjects as computer Engineering student.😭😭😭

I built an ICBM with ground burst and downloaded custom interceptors to test it on my missile but all of the interceptors failed. with the SM-3 getting as close as 100m but couldn't destroy it. I created an invincible ICBM😅😅

Been messing around w Vizzy since being inspired by your videos, and I've just made the horrific discovery that its coordinate system is left handed. How do you deal with this? Do you just flip y and z for all the calculations you need to do?

Why does the third stage boost towards the target? I would think it would try to decelerate relative to the target to make the EKV's job easier?
to minimize time to intercept + miss distance by the end of the burn so that the lateral divert requirements are within the delta V capability of the kinetic warhead
@@composerfreak9897 Yeah, but I'm wondering if it's possible to increase time to intercept while also reducing miss distance, but I suppose that would require impossible precision.
