These were by far my favorite switches when I was just starting out in this hobby. What I love about them is how light of a touch they need without sacrificing that lovely tactile feeling. And that sound! 🙂 And, like you said, they're really really cheap too!

What mods did you use?

@@freefisheater dampener - mattress, PE mod, tempest mod 4 layers, switches re-lubed with krytox gpl 205g0 it makes a huge difference just don’t use different lubes and lube it the precise way, ping sound fix, PC plate.

They make up the biggest part of the keyboard's sound and feel - a switch can determine whether something sounds thocky, smooth, clacky or hollow and the rest of the keyboard mostly amplifies that sound. But the feel is the most important value of a switch. I've gone through over a dozen different tactile switches and each one felt different. I would say that switches have more of an impact on the experience of a keyboard than even the keycaps, though they too play a big part. It's why I moved to MT3 profile caps (the ones you see here).

Not that I can see. But I got the ones with the clear top housing so there shouldn't be any interference at all.

Oh shoot, sorry my bad - I had just finished assembling a Q3 with Boba U4T's and THOSE had the clear tops. But to go back to these switches, yes they interfere with the lighting a bit. It's a bit dimmer than with clear switches and it does tint the rgb color a little bit as well.

Just a light factory lube - I didn't lubricate these after the fact.

I've a Q3 and I swapped the PC plate in and it does make a huge difference. I have the fr4, pc and brass plates for this q1 so I'm going to try them all soon.

Without mods, there is a slight ping noise. It never really bothered me since I have some mild hearing loss, but after the tape and force break mods (in my other video) all the ping noise was completely eliminated.

The flex is really something else and I love it! But no, this is literally just the new switches, keycaps and one layer of tape mod. 😊 The tape mod already seems to have reduced the distance the pcb can flex so I worry that putting more stuff in the bottom case would reduce the flex even further.

@@freefisheater dang I needed to take out the bottom foams to get some flex in mine, also put Neapolitans! The sound isn't there quite yet on my build for my tastes but I've already done the force break mod. Probably will do the tape mod and maybe get some dapening for the bottom case like polyfill or sound deadening. Hopefully I can lube the switches and stand sometime to

Internally, there are some differences with cuts from the structure of the frame, but I don't see it as affecting the case in any meaningful way. The real difference is that the corners of the cutouts for the keys are much sharper, so there's better compatibility with larger keycaps. With the V1 top case, the corners and edges of MT3 and SA keycaps would rub against the top case due to this interference. With the V2 this is no longer an issue.

It's always been the case that when a UAAP team loses Game 1, its fans are hesitant to watch Game 2 just to avoid the humiliation of watching a possible defeat live. In this case, FEU lost Game 1 in a particularly lopsided fashion to the point that it probably demoralized its fans. Unsold UAAP tickets might have been sold to scalpers at a premium either individually or by someone in the FEU admin. You can bet that had FEU won this Game 2, their fans would have been roaring back in the stands in Game 3.

@@rafaelluisflores9556 That makes sense. And yes, I feu won, it's would once again be a battle of the fans. As a fan who'd gone to the feu vs nu game 3, I would know.

@@rafaelluisflores9556 beg to disagree take the case of recently concluded season 85 finals between Ateneo amd UP,.Maroons won game one, but during game two of the finals Ateneo's crowd showed up filled up at least fourty %of the coliseum and cheered loudest and eventually pumped the players to play big-time and sure they win amd we all.knew what happened during the decider, Ateneo, claimed their 12th title in the UAAP, ( Ironically Ateneo had won 14 championship in the NCAA before they transferred to UAaP) their total if summed up , they, will be the country's winingest collegiate basketball team in recent history.

@@rodolfolucerojr6189 You yourself said that Ateneo only occupied 40% during game 2, which proves my point. It was almost the same thing in 2001 when Ateneo lost Game 1 to DLSU. (I was there.) And please, no one is in a position to say that their crowd cheered the loudest without being subjective. Also, not sure why you used the word "ironically".
