Quinn was coming off an injury to his ankle which is why he was slower during the regular season but its gotten better and he actually made some great plays with his legs against clemson. Ewers is miles better right now and let’s not forget he is playing against an sec schedule, look at his stats in the big 12 last year. People forget how good quinn can be bc of all the arch manning talk & how good their defense has been but he’s still a consensus top 5 qb in 2025. We’ll see if leivitt is on that same discussion in a couple years. I like leivitt but he’s a freshman and has a a top 3 rb in the nation to take the load off him. I hate to see this type of hate for ewers so much he’s been nothing but a professional and has kept his mouth shut yet people can’t help but over criticize his every mistake because the backup qb has a certain last name.

@@drew318 As a Texas fan and alumni, I can tell you that we have the two most overrated QBs in the country. What we have is plenty of great players supporting our QBs. Texas has a massive o-line but is still dominated by great defenses like Georgia, a plethora of skilled receivers, and a decent stable of running backs. Sark is using our TE, and his scheme is a tremendous equalizer. Quinn has been slow, weak, and fragile throughout his career. Manning is still about the hype and has not proven himself against tough competition. Texas covers this game. Hook'Em \m/~v~

@ I think I meant to reply to someone saying sam leivitt was better than quinn lol, but I don’t see how Quinn is overrated at this point being project qb4-5. He was projected to be a top 10 pick at the beginning of the year. I still think he’s great and the Texas defense & underwhelming receiver play has made it so he is playing a bit too cautious but he did look a lot better vs clemson. He does need to add a good 15 lbs and get a lot stronger if he wants to last in the nfl though.

Quinn is making millions to play football for UT so he is not above being criticized when it's warranted. He quit being just a kid playing football when he took those Millions to play football here. If you don't want to listen to me, fine go read the NFL scouting reports on him. They have serious concerns about his footwork, locking on receivers, and inability to throw accurate deep passes.
