man I thought they said oscp material isenough to pass the exam 😭so people still do fail? hmm I got one more azure certificate to get then i'll have save up or borrow money lol and get that unliimited attend exam option to pass this damn thing 😬 I bought TCM courses a year ago but might go through THM instead? or both? Good info and video -- i'm currently going through the Pen 200 course. i'm decent in bash, and somewhat familiar with python--- in your opinion, how much python should you know prior to sitting for the exam? is it enough to know how to change certain exploits when/where necessary, or did you need to make any custom scripts that helped during the exam? thanks

Hey, I only did proving grounds practice and challenge labs. I didn't take a look at proving grounds play. I'd say they're a bit different but both are helpful
did you purchase a virtual machine? what did you use to help you with the different O.S? this is all getting expense lol. idk how you did it without a job. wish i could private message you to get some more insight im trying to dive into this and just focus.
hey, no need to pay for a virtual machine. You can use VMware fusion/player, and VirtualBox. Both should be free. Best of luck

have good notes and create scripts to automate common tasks. good notes is important because you wont have to google for something if you forget something like a command.

Only recently signed up for a couple courses myself. What are your suggestions for IDEs? I like the look of PyCharm for Python …. VS Code seems very busy in my eyes
I'd go with Visual Studio Code, it is the leading IDE and many people have switched to it from IDE's they were used to. You'll likely encounter other languages in your journey also so getting familiar with the more versatile IDE will help you down the line. Just my two cents

Ive been studying for over a year, and i just fewl stupid and cant remember anything. And ive been doing this in the army for 12 years . Its weird to me. I wish the test would just give a acronym list
I wouldn't be able to memorize the content without cue cards. Also not adding the full name but only the acronym in the cue card can help. Best of luck!
