I saw them play this song live BEFORE it was released, in their and my hometown of Kingston. Richardson Stadium, 1993, on the tour for the previous album, Fully Completely. Mid-concert, Gord said "Every Canadian band has to have a song about a nautical disaster. So this song is called Nautical Disaster." And they played it, and of course at first, no one wants to hear the songs they've never heard before. 15,000 people were briefly not into this - and then they played it. We were MESMERIZED. Staggered. Every person in that crowd knew they had just heard, for the very first time, a masterpiece. At the end we were looking at each other saying "Holy crap, what the hell was THAT?" I was singing it all the way home. We were in the presence of the greatest band Canada has ever produced, and we got to see them present a work of genius. What a moment.

Zero comments... let's change that! I only recently heard this song despite being a 90s child. I suspect this will even hit the react circuit and go bigger...you must be waaaaay ahead of the curve dude. Anyways, love the energy and sentiment.

3eb is as good as theyve been since Blue, their new guitarist (Kryz Reid) is perfect for their style. Hes right up there with Kevin.

I wish that they could have added this to the Empire Records soundtrack because it really would have taken the movie to a whole other level. I think they would need to add some more scenes to do it so it works and has context to the plot. But it could totally work and be a real up lifting moment in music to the film.
