Hey everyone, “Chemicals”, the fourth single from mine and Collisions EP is finally out!
This track means a lot to me personally, as I came up with part of the instrumental while fairly deep in alcohol addiction, and then came back and finished it during my subsequent non-abstinence/medicine-based recovery using The Sinclair Method-aka targeted Naltrexone treatment-for alcohol use disorder (I have a whole post on my Instagram that goes into all of this, but feel free to comment/contact me if you want to learn more).
Anyway, Rob didn’t know about any of this at the time-although I’m sure he knew something was going on-when I sent him the instrumental, yet somehow he wrote lyrics that really hit home for me and what I was going through (they were so moving in fact that I ended up going back into the track and writing a completely new breakdown and drop).
But I digress.
Life is filled with high points and low points; struggles and triumphs; lightness and darkness.
But music is there to help you through all of it, just like this song did for me.
