If only some artists would use the Nashville hit parade blueprint of writers writing for any artists including themselves, and performer performing anyone and considering everyone’s work, including their own. In other words, allow a third party input, such as a trusted manager or producer, as to what is a “good fit,” for them, regardless of who wrote it or if it’s ever been released, or published. Example, Miley Cyrus and her cover of the Cardigans song, “Communicate.” That was a super fit for Miley. More so than the Cardigans. It was captivating when she sung it. Venior is both a great writer and a great singer. She should look for songs that are a good fit for her, in others’ work and within her own, letting third parties give objectionable counsel. She should write songs that hat are great songs, stand alone hits, no matter who performs them. Cases in point, Taylor Swift, and Florida Georgia Line. They both began, or soon after, writing a body of work, available to other artists, and performing songs that were a great fit for them, regardless for the author. Both Taylor and FGL have had top twenty hits that they released, and at the same time, a top ten hit of a song they wrote that another artist released. Taylor fas done it in different genres at the same time. This method produces popular songs faster, and the artists grow faster and to greater heights. Nashville is the best at this. I feel that managers, producers, and artists of other genres are haven’t done this to the degree that country music does, but is have gained momentum.
