Welcome to Grubmagnet Farm! This is a new channel of mine solely focused on content created in Farming Simulator 25. In coming weeks, I'll be putting up a variety of tutorials and entertaining content on this game.
Farming Simulator 25 How to Use a Winch
In this Farming Simulator 25 how to use a winch video, I show you this and how you can use it to quickly transport logs.
You can attach a winch to your tractor like usual, but using a winch is a little different to usual tools. I show you how to attach the cable to single and multiple logs.
The winch I'm using here is a Tajfun EGV 66 AHK SG. It's only £8,500 to buy, os it's one of the cheapest ways to transport logs.

Just come across this video, very handy indeed thanks for that nice one 👍🏽
Good video great help, I’ll be downloading this map thanks and keep the content coming 👍🏽
Glad it helped. I really like this map. So much easier to try out a bit of forestry. I'll keep on with the content! Thanks for the support.
That is one cool bit of equipment great vid thanks 👍🏽
It's an awesome machine! Thanks for the kind words!
Awesome, i look forward to getting through this!
Hope you find it useful!
Useful advice thanks
Glad it helped! Thanks for the kind comment.
Very informative and helpful as always 👍
Thanks!
Great video you explain everything very well
Thanks!
Great video thank you
You're most welcome. Thanks for commenting!
You sound great to me !
Thanks!
You can change the tool width in the lane assist thingy and set it to 18m. I do this whenever I have to fertilize a field. I'm checking which tool width has the less passages while having the less overlap as well.
Ah that's very useful to know! I thought you had to match it to the width options you set on the tool first before activating lane assist. I shall have a deeper look into this. Thanks!
Great video but i think your microphone needs to be a bit louder
Thanks for the feedback. Sounds fine listening through my phone. Is there a particular point in the video it’s an issue?
with the Honey, does more than one pallet spawn? on mine ive had one pallet and one crate appear in over 1 year in game? is it just the numbers that change opposed to visually seeing more pallets and crates etc? remember back in fs 22 loads would spawn. as always tho such helpful content
It should spawn more over time. Might be a bug. Glad it helped and thanks for the comment.
Great informative series many thanks. Well produced, easy to listen to.
My pleasure! Glad it was useful and thank you for the kind words. Lots more to come on this game. There's so much to talk about!
Do you know how to add the super strength mod so you can pick stuff up.
I'll make a note to take a look. I checked it out previously on FS22, but not sure if it works find on FS 25.
Thank you so much! I couldn’t find anyone with the right video but you
Ah you're most welcome. Thanks for the kind comment!
Thanks for this, great help 👍🏽
You're most welcome. Thanks for commenting!
Got a sub from me, just purchased this game, once you know what your doing it’s quite straight forward, great game and great vid 👍🏽
Glad this helped you out. Welcome fo the game! Thanks for the kind words and sub.
if you have the time I'd love to know if this is the order of process for the feilds? cultivate/plough lime fertalise seed/plant a second fertalise the next month? it seems this way you dont get the trouble of not seeing texture changes that has plagued me so far if a crop is witherd is it dead? planted Canola and no idea why its now witherd! apreciated any reply and thanks in advance. you'd make a great teacher if you aint one btw!
Looks right on the basics of fields. But there's more. I have planned out a mini playlist on the field process which I hope I'll have up in the next couple of days. Re the withered crop, I guess you missed the month to harvest on. Check this video: ua-cam.com/video/_NnziR40qfo/v-deo.html - By default, one day is set to one month so it's easy to miss the harvest time. Thanks on the teacher comment. I have a much bigger channel where I've covered many games, so I've been at this a while. FS 22 was covered a bit, but I decided I want a dedicated channel on it as it's such a complicated game that's well played. Hopefully I'll have some new content up today or tomorrow that'll help with the field order for you.
@@GrubmagnetFarm much Appreciated for your replys and taking that time to do so. I played most of the day today 31st, no stress at all and enjoyed it again! even trying out a few things! ( getting brave lol) will look out for the next vid and will check out the one you linked. you'll definatly become my goto for this game, one of the best ive seen. look forward to more of the gameplay vids too. i'd love to see any of the new stuff in the game coverd esp Rice, thats my next try, thanks again , wish you a Happy new year, and happy farming! got my nephew to sub or he will do too!
You're most welcome on the replies. I always try to do that, even on my main channel. Glad you're enjoying the game. Ah thanks on the kind words. Did you get on fine with rice? HNY to you too and your nephew. Re the field order, wow it was a can of worms, but I've made a 13 part playlist that nails 100% yield bonus, but you should ideally start with a freshly harvested field, otherwise you can only get 97%. Have a look: ua-cam.com/play/PLNy56XRqzrEdjsH0oZPbHDrhaxsx-m14E.html
@@GrubmagnetFarm will check this playlist out! The rice was cool , enjoyed that, im currently trying out cows/milk with the 36k mini production points. i sold the big feild you start with and all my buildings to afford it lol also i planted popular! what a nightmare lol feild is so patchy , when planting it plants , but then wipes out the row next to you, i litereally saw them dissapearing! dont know it thats a console glitch!
Great you're playing around with so many things. I've had a quick look at Poplar, but it does seem a bit odd how you need to plan the planting to avoid overlaps. Yesterday I was learning about grass and silage. I think I know enough to do a video on it which hopefully I'll sort this week.
working my way through your vids finding them very helpful, so thankyou. would lime only be sprayed on a feild after cultivating? never once theres a growth? suscribed too as you're criminally underated! watching your vids makes me want to carry on playing where ive previously been stressed and no idea how to go about things or the whys!
Ah thanks for the kind words and sub. Totally right on lime. The idea is to prep the soil ready for seeding. Typically done once every three harvests.
played on 22, but here after the serious lack of help/tutorials on 25! having a real hard time seeing any texture changes when working on the land! so for example i sprayed lime , yet COULD NOT see where was sprayed so had to let AI do it! which defeats the object when i have nothing to do! on another i weeded yet again couldnt tell where i'd been, did it by memory, really stressing me out atm which again shouldnt be happening for this game, getting to the point i cant be botherd already! whats the point of not being able to see what you are doing! FS22 was my first and i dont remember it was so hard to get into the game. also i did log transport as a contract, after a complete mare picking logs up and loading them, my truck tipped over so again i gave up. so frustrated with the game so far. so came here hoping to simplyfy the game and hopefly learn something so i can start to enjoy the game again!
It's a hard game to get into. Hmm, that sounds like a graphics card problem. Are your drivers up to date? It is very annoying if you tip over a transport. What's nice though is I'm now getting some feedback from a couple of players now, so I can hopefully build content that helps you and others too. I am trying to figure out best ways to keep things simple for people to understand and which areas to cover first. I think arable farming first makes sense as that's the core gameplay. Over time, I'll try and cover every aspect of the game.
Can you do a video on how to remove weeds.
On my list! I'm going to do a mini playllist on working a field from start to finish. Hopefully I'll have that done today or tomorrow.
Very useful thanks, loving the dedicated channel and content
Great. Thanks for the kind words. I think in time I'll get this channel up as a handy resource. Looking good so far.
thank you brother that video is very helpful
You are most welcome. Thanks for the kind comment!
Do would like to join a multi player game, I did join one but couldn’t do anything in it, what am I doing wrong?
I'm not sure. Sorry. I only play solo.
Great videos, are all the water sources that you place on the farm unlimited
As far as I know, yeah. But some charge for refill. I think the one that's deeper with the windmill may be free. I want to look at this again soon. It's on my list.
Really helpful, question - can you convert fields? Say I wanted forestry and sawmills, can I convert a field to plant trees?
Yes indeed you can. But it takes some time to do. Forestry is on my list, but I'm just debating what to cover next as each takes time. I think I'll nail arable farming first as that's the core heart of the game. I will be working on a series of short videos showing taking a single field through all the stages.
Thank thank you thank you I almost gave this game back because I just couldnt figure this out and its not clear from the game!
You are most welcome. I don't get why the game doesn't have the front loader attachment on the starter vehicles. Stick with the game. It's a lot of fun and in time I'll build this channel to answer lots more. It's nice to have some feedback to help me figure out what to cover.
Omg! Just saved me hours of slow driving!! Loving these brief help vids thanks for your time to make them
I have driven to the shop so many times and never really thought to do this until recently. Glad it helped!
Awesome thank you!
You're most welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you so much this was a great overview! I have just bought the game and almost gave up because the explanations are so lacking and so much assumptions are too much. For example I bought a tractor and for the life of me couldnt figure out why the front loader arms I bought wouldnt connect, I just saw you click front loader option in the vehicle options! A video on how the vehicles work and connect different items would be great!
You're most welcome. Thanks for the kind words. I did make a video about connecting a front loader already. I see you've seen that. Does that clear the questions up?
Thank you man
You're most welcome. Thanks for commenting!
These vids help a lot. would not mind seeing some forestry stuff if that's something you would like to look at?
Glad they help. Happy to look at Forestry at some point. Is there a specific part of the process you want me to cover? Thanks for watching and commenting!
Took me a while to get my head around this area, but here's a detailed beginner's guide: ua-cam.com/video/yohaCs4FzhI/v-deo.htmlsi=A2brmRPTVmtUEqDF Hope it helps!
I just stick grass bales in the feeder and keep it full with one on top. What's the advantages of making the mix?
TMR vs just grass? It affects milk production. TMR will mean the cows are 100% productive. Just hay 80% productive. Just grass 40% productive. If you're not producing milk and only breeding, I don't think it makes any difference.
@@GrubmagnetFarm Thanks, That's what I need to know. I don't do milk. Just have like 12-13 in a pen that say 100% healthy and fully grown. Will figure out how to get them to have calves at some point. Then again I may remove the pen and sell them off lol.
Ah cool. As far as I know they should breed eventually if they have food and water. I've not spent too much time on cows yet. I've been learning a lot about arable first. Hopefully more on that today.
Do any of the solar panels rotate to track the sun throughout the day?
The bigger square one looks like it rotates. I'm not sure if they produce any extra money over static panels though.
Prefer to continue with arable if possible as it appears to be the ideal starting point for beginners 👍
Good stuff. It's the core work of game. I made a part 2 where I continued this work: ua-cam.com/video/Nwcy5omE_hI/v-deo.html
Excellent video as always. Your channel provides me with fab tips and and a better understanding of the game in general, and I’m really enjoying your content, even though I play on PS5. Keep up the good work 👍
Ah thanks for the kind words. I have a PS5 too, but thought I'd work on PC this release as it gives more mod options later if I want to show those. The console versions work suprisingly well given how many controls there are.
🚜
🙂
is there a way for the silo to only show me thae products i have ? i dont want to scroll until i find what i have
I don't think so. I'd like that too!
I can’t fill up my utv or ATV from the silo to feed my animals. :/
Can you use a trailer like I'm doing here?
that is weight of attachment not lifting cap, the jd 700m can lift just over 3k kg
Ah thanks for the info!
i like your video
Thanks again!
amazing video
Thanks!
Can I add it to an existing REALM? Or is it only available for a career? I can’t figure out how to get it in my realm farm.
I've not played around with a realm farm, so I'm not sure. I've read some mods are not multiplayer compatible, but it seems hard to see which are and which aren't. Aside from that, it seems as though the server needs to the mod and perhaps the clients too. And the mod release needs to match. But that's just from reading about.
amazing video
Thanks!
thanks mate, I would never have figured it out
You're most welcome. Thanks for the kind comment!
Nice looking dog your Harry is .
Thanks!
Once you've started using a silo, is there a way to see how much storage you have left over?
If you click on load when you have a trailer over the pipe, in the menu it will.shpw you how much you got stored in the silo. Otherwise I'm sure there's a mod
Thanks for jumping in and replying on that! 👍
Awesome!! I was wondering about this. Thank you for showing!
You're most welcome. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
