la zarabanda es una modificacion de un baile originario de africa, que fue tomada como castellana y se expandio durante la reconquista y el descubrimiento de america, por lo que, en realidad esta danza no es de america central como tu dicen ;)
Handels Saraband is based on the popular tune Folie d'espagne, a tune wich many composers have "written" their own versions of. Other examples are, Corelli, Vivaldi and Bach. Even Beethoven and Rachmaninov have used this theme.

@CaballeroCatalan Sadly, the "world" was never like this. The beauty and majesty depicted here existed for a tiny, tiny percentage of the population -- the nobility. Most of the populace lived in squalor at the same time.

Zarabanda is originally a dance from Central America brought to Spain and then the rest of Europe.
