The equipment sent from the US is old enough parents used it for training. None of it is even made in the last 5 years. I think when you guys say Trump won’t care I doubt that Elon wants all of Ukraine’s precious resources for his rockets and cars . Zelenskyy needs to take advantage of Trump greed and make a deal with him to sell stuff to him and not let Putin just take it . Its not ideal but with out USA help it will be challenging for Ukraine to keep going .

The sort of "escalation" Putin should be considering is perhaps trying to make up somehow for this chaos he's created, hatred he's stewing is asking for some help via Ukrainian brain power on turning some of the plutonium in those warheads into repurposeable fuel, which he might be able to trade to Ukraine in return for repairing the infrastructure and damage in general that he's doing to Ukrainian people and property. And Rogan's overblown reaction about the nuclear threats do not represent the general attitude of most people in the USA Republican or Democrat or Independent. Most people if they can read the agreements from the 1990s between Russia and NATO/USA would agree that Moscow government was the aggressors, they basically ripped up that agreement with not much warning and directly violated it as they were supposed to be protectors jointly to Ukraine with the other parties... Last I checked rolling armored brigades onto your neighbor's capital is a direct violation of that and Trump (et al) should truly understand this...

I think that Zelensky knows that Putin is highly unlikely to agree to any kind of reasonable negotiated outcome. This is then political theater for the benefit of President elect Trump so that they can both later claim that they made an effort and Russia refused. The step after that would then open up more decisions by the US administration to help Ukraine to win the war decisively.
