What was the point of making them "Stop" and then dance?
To learn stop and go
@@sarahbgln That's confusing because there are other skits on Sesame Street that teach "stop" and "go" since it's unknown why it would have to be used with dancing here on this skit.
His versatility is what amazes me, Poppin, lockin and bboyin, the guy was way ahead of his time, mad amazing skills,NO ONE like WigZ,NO ONE
Bobthepizzaboy used to have this back in 2007.
It first appeared on Season 20, Episode 2600 (aired on April 21, 1989). I definitely know this from Sesame Street in the late 80's/early 90's. This same skit was repeated until season 29.
Thank you so much for sharing the actual date with us with this! I was trying to remember because I totally remember this as a kid!
Never heard of this Skeeter guy
He was part of the Legendary Dance group Electric Boogaloo.

Did you and Skeeter have fun dancing together like it appears, Ann Marie?
Thanks for posting this video of my Uncle ♥️ Y’all were wonderful
He was Great and learned all those dance lifts from me as if he’d done them forever!
I know that it might’ve been years ago, but I’m very sorry for your loss, branden; I think skeet was a very brilliant dancer that has left one heck of a legacy:)
@@deangeloproductionsAnn-Marie, you were very brilliant as well, and still are! Keep up the excellent talent and work! :-)
@@deangeloproductions hello Sam Gross here how are you you’re a very professional ballerina on television thanks Sam Gross
I remember this on Sesame Street in the early 90's I think? I think my sisters and I tried to do this Lol
It was also included in the Sesame Street Home Video: Dance Along, where Oscar tells Gina to stop dancing, and that gave her an idea of the said next dance. However, the sketch's ending was cut off (the one where the kids are applauding for Ann Marie DeAngelo and Skeeter Rabbit)
I think these two were also involved in the dancing feet skit!
Powerful.
Still an amazing skit even to this day. I always wonder if both Ann Marie and Skeeter were also involved in the dancing feet skit?
I think they were. It would make sense if Ann Marie was wearing the ballet slippers. I'm guessing that the hiking shoes was Skeeter Rabbit.

Thanx, have photos of us in Stay With Me! Where can I send?
Absolutely gorgeous, like a Dream ... and Awakening ... you are wonderful... graceful and delicate and then the music of Drigo.... I don't like Ron as a person and don't agree with his political stand but he was an OK dancer.
Pavlova never danced as beautifully as this. Very nice, the first time that I've seen this pas de deux and with Ronald Reagan!!!!
Your beautiful mother!!! It is so good to see her in this for this monumental experience. Love you, AM -- I've always been one of your biggest fans from the first viewing.
I think this might be the theme song for our www.DynamicsConnect.com product. Sweet!
Mark Goldweber was a very kind person.
Great video and it sounds like a wonderful book! Ann Marie is a super talent and I loved working with her in the past!
That was an amazing tour! I'm the mandolinist playing the William Tell Overture at the end of this clip. Would love to play for these dancers any time.
I remember Laurie, too, from back in the 1970's, at Tania Lichine's studio in Beverly Hills. Laurie was an exquisite ballerina; most of us would marvel as she'd slowly rise to demi pointe (on one foot), arms up in high fifth, and just balance there in a perfect passe, smiling effortlessly, or when she'd execute several pirouettes in what felt like slow motion, all with the perfect combination of delicacy and steely strength. Miss you, Laurie!
Do you have a higher resolution version of this video? It is beautiful.
Beautiful!
Thank you for posting this.
Amazing pieces and concepts! You hit the nail with the hammer when collaborating with Mr. Wiggles and Jason Samuels Smith, along with many others. I would love to work with you one day.
sooo cooool.....:)
Yes amazing! Yes related to Yoko -
Do you know where Laurie is these days? Is she related to Yoko Ichino?
Laurie Ichino is the most perfect ballerina I have ever seen in person. I watched her do a pirouette contest with another student. She did one pirouette, then he. They added one pirouette, exactly, with each turn. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven pirouetes, each time finishing completely balanced and with perfect control. Eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, they kept going, nineteen, twenty, he started to fall out at twenty-four or so, but she kept going to, I think 27 perfect pirouettes.
There is more to do with it - notice the bit of Paradise added to your journey! AM
