I was there when they were there. Those aren’t navy recruits. Those from what I understand was for marines specifically still. I don’t know why they were at Great Lakes but they were there for some kind of program for like officers or something like that. It’s been a while

Basic Training is for 3 or 4 months after that they go to there advannce Individual training (AIT) School and😢 assigned to overseas base or in country and from there depends there job asignment.

lol the rappelling. I struggled with that too. It eventually just clicks though alot like riding a bike.
