You saved me! The solution was as demonstrated. However, in order to save some extra dismantle and reassembly time I managed to loosen the nut without fully removing the plastic cover and unplugging wires, or undoing the hood release. It almost broke my back in a contorted position, but by gently pulling down the plastic after removing the initial 3 screws, I could snake my wrench up to the nut. After loosening, I put the steering wheel out (closest position to my body) bumped the wheel several times but no change. I reversed the wheel to telescope closest position to the dashboard, bumped it (pretty hard) a few times while fiddling the adjustment lever up and down and ... shazam.

Great video, very descriptive, thanks ! Indeed the screw has a tendency to get stuck. You simply have to unlock it, with universal pliers for example

Another trick that works 8/10 times is going up and down on the lever about 100 times, eventually it will destick its self, I've had success on a bunch of mercs. Worth a shot if you aren't home to use the tools

It’s worked on My 2011 W204 C250 🎉🎉 But I have a question. My steering wheel became loose. It can tilt down manual if I push down on the top of steering wheel. Am I bolt it back too loose? Is anyone have the same problem?

I have the same problem with my 2015 CLS63 AMG S. I hope this works.

You don't need to disassemble it. If you do not use it for a long time, it gets stuck. If you forcibly lift the handle with your knee and move the tilt upward, the stuck thing will come off and it will work normally. hahahahaha

2013 SL550 was stuck up. Banged up and down and just wouldn’t move. When all else fails sometimes you just have to go to plan B. Followed this video tugging on the cable at the same time as I pushed the switch downward and the actuator cable was on a bind. After several attempts it finally broke loose and the tilt worked as it should. Before I closed everything up I applied a small amount of lithium grease to the threads of the actuator. I also disabled the easy exit feature to disable the wheel from constantly going to the full up position. Thank you for the Video. The process took about one hour, saved me a trip to the dealership and most likely a hefty repair bill….

This solution worked on my 2012 c350

У меня проблема, когда я делаю сброс(зажимаю два наушника на 10 секунд), то у меня они мигают, и в моменте просто перестают мигать. не было никаких знаков что они выключились. Даже не было красного цвета о том что они выключились. После этого я ставлю наушники в кейс, вытаскиваю, и все как обычно... Правый наушник мигает красно-синим, а левый просто красным мигает... и не сопрягаются... ничего не помогло...

All this is unnecessary. Just hold the tilt lever down and bang of the top of the steering wheel and it will break loose. Done it a ton of times.
