GRITTI HYSTERICA: Weirdly Pretty Perfume Review
Gritti gave Hysterica a very fitting name - because it’s a weird perfume. Weird in a pretty way though. It’s a very fun fragrance, and it’s not for everyone.

Real Deal Old Money Perfume: Acqua di Parma Luce di Rosa
Переглядів 7092 місяці тому
NOT A ROSE, BUT AN OLD MONEY PEONY - ACQUA DI PARMA LUCE DI ROSA Definitely a quiet luxury kind of perfume. You'll smell amazing without trying. The catch? It's not a cheap shortcut to smelling expensive. Luce di Rosa from Acqua di Parma is actually expensive, at least for what it is. But that's how you know it's the real deal old money scent, not a dupe. Oh, and it's actually not a rose scent,...

l really like your formula.l mean what you are doing
Thank you so much! Means a lot to me! ❤️
Loved this review, thank you! will need a sample of Hysterica soon!
New to the channel...I'm teally enjoying your videos! Thank you 🎉🎉
Which is more like Aventus like, X or the OG?
Hi! I think OG is closer, but it’s not a copy or a clone, as there are differences
@@CosmetiquaMagazine thank you!
Καλημέρα πρέπει να είναι το άρωμα υπέροχα. στη Ελλάδα παρακαλώ??
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to comment! I am sure there are shops in Greece that have it so you can try for yourself! I hope you like it!
I LOVE tuberose because it's slightly disgusting. But the best one, which has nothing ugly in it is Carnal Flower. So good!
Lol! Well said! Slightly disgusting is very on point! Yes, Carnal Flower is a classic! I got to smell the old Fracas once, the original version stored in Osmotheque, it blew my mind. The most beautiful tuberose I’ve ever smelled. Nothing modern comes close.
@CosmetiquaMagazine 🙏🏻
I will go and find a bottle to smell thank you for a great and interesting review.
Hi! My absolute pleasure! And thank you for taking the time to comment! ❤️ Once you’ve smelled it, please, let me know what you think of it! Wondering if I’m the only one seeing the weirdness in it
@@CosmetiquaMagazine I will go to Bergdorf Goodman in NYC and smell it. I am wondering if the hysterica name is a reference to the tuberose in FRACAS - weird names for sure!
Tried it few weeks ago and this is so freaking bad. Really really bad.
Hi! What is it that you didn’t like? Good or bad are such subjective words when used without explanation. So I’m very curious in your opinion!
@CosmetiquaMagazine well, i doesnt like the smell at all. I really thought it might need some time, like viking, to smell as nice at it should, but i really cant stand this smell but i have to admit that i washed my wrist like 10times this day, to get rid of this smell, but there was always a little bit of smell back on my wrist, so at least it is somekind of water resilient 😅
Sorry to hear you don’t like it! At least, as you say, you’ve got proof it’s really long lasting 😅 Probably because of ambroxan, that stuff is super potent
@@CosmetiquaMagazine yeah, probably 😅. I really cannot deny that it is really long lasting 😎😁
Smells like cough syrup to me 🤢
Love how you say gourmands 🎉
Oh thank you! It’s very kind of you to say ❤️
Grand Soir is way better and complex. The new Creed is ok. Incomparable to Grand Soir. Edit: you actually made me go back and test this again and I understand what your mean. Centauras is indeed very sophisticated and complex. Thank you
Grand Soir is a classic. Which is both good (it’s a classic for a reason, it nailed the classic Amber accord structure), and bad - people always want something new, and classics can be perceived as boring. So I think Creed did a great job of offering a new take. Doesn’t mean Grand Sour should be written off though
@CosmetiquaMagazine I agree
I have both.😅I agree.Guidance 46 is so much easier to wear.🙏🏼💖
Wow! Lucky you! I had a chance to buy Guidance at a discount when it came out, but didn't take it. And now I wish I did. 46 version is more spectacular, but I totally agree, not an easy every-day-type-of-scent!
I am wearing it now. And it has similar vibe with Babycat
Hi! Oh that's interesting! Need to compare them, thanks for letting me know!

Me acabo de comprar el hacivat x, vamos a ver qué tal🫡😊
Cuéntame qué te parece una vez que los hayas comparado. ¡Tengo mucha curiosidad!
I will buy it during Black Friday sales later this month.
Hi! Cool! I didn't know Creed has any sales at all. Here in Germany they never do any price reductions. Have you already tried it or will it be a blind buy?
@CosmetiquaMagazine Belodore is an eastern European discounter shop, and the creed boutique will give gifts 🎁 only. My mother smelled it somewhere and I will get it for her as a Christmas gift.
Great! Thank you for the info! ❤️
You didn’t mention tobacco?
Hi! In fact I did (at 0:38 to be precise :) I think that tobacco is definitely there, is important for the overall impression and can be picked out as a note pretty easily. In my opinion it's not a defining note in this perfume though. For me it's still an amber perfume first.
This X logo looks kinda muddy, like somebody traced dirty fingers around the original bottle. The scent itself is also not so pleasant as the original, something there is off putting for me.
Hi! I think the logo was meant to look exactly as if the X was hand-drawn. On the other ones they chose the golden plate, but with Hacivat they decided to stick with white and needed a contrasting color. Not my favorite design, but I don't mind it. I tend to gravitate to the original Hacivat too, the X version is more challenging for me because of the barbershop-y cleanliness
Great review! with a clearer comparison between the two editions. Have you done any comparisons of other versions like the old vs. new Nishane scents, such as Ani vs. Ani X? Thanks for sharing this video 😊
Hi! Thanks a lot for your words! I'm very happy the comparison was useful! I haven't recorded any other Nishane videos yet, but you are right. I should do some other original vs X comparisons, I think Ani would be fun. Also the new Tuberoza X vs original.
Gonna smell like an Indian Take-out.
Lol… not really, no. Unless we are talking about very different Indian takeouts :)
This is good...but very very very overpriced for what it is...
Yeah, I specially if you are in the US. I couldn’t believe how much more Creed is charging there compared to Europe.
I like Aventus cologne more than regular Aventus. Haven’t smelled Aventus Absolu yet!
Hi! I imagine Aventus Cologne is fresher and lighter, right? Because of all Aventuses out there that’s the one I haven’t smelled yet
Wooow today I was wondering what to buy and your video showed up 😮😂 and i ended up ordering X! Without the oak moss note easy choice for me.
Wow! That’s truly a coincidence! Happy I could help with your choice! And hope Hacivat X won’t disappoint! Let me know what your think of it, really interested to hear!
Have also a strong personality this perfume?
Hi! I’d say yes. It’s pretty powerful and unique, so ppl around you will notice!
Thanks for this great review! I ordered a 30ml bottle from their website and I totally agree with you. I think it is power sensual dark and prominent and I love it! It is really an amazing unique scent! I like it so much more than Carmina. Keep on going with making more videos!!! Greetings from a Dutchie also living in Germany
Hi! Oh thank you so much for your kind words! Makes me so happy to know the review was helpful! Now that it's getting colder I think I'll be wearing Queen of Silk more, it's a total power fragrance for sure! And greetings from Berlin! If you are in the Berlin area, let me know - we have regular perfume meetups at Berlin Perfume Club here, you are very welcome to join!
Hacivat X smells so much better 🙌 good video
Thank you so much! So happy you like the video! X feels like a very good update. Not because the original needs it, but because it's a different vibe and stronger too!
Your breakdown was really complete. I got samples of these with the bottle of Viking I picked up. They're both really good. Delphinus, I thought was a bit feminine for me but I'll definitely use the sample at some point.
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you appreciate the video! I like them both too. And being a girl, I indeed went for Delphinus first - the tonka-cherry vibes feel softer. Felt like I need Centaurus too though :)
Great breakdown, been eyeing both these fragrances since my ads have been flooded. I'm looking forward to more fragrance break downs like this. Very thorough.
Hi! Thank you so much! So happy you found the video helpful! Will do my best to create more informative reviews!
I like this channel. One of the best female fragrance review channels that is serious, professional and no check-me-out kind of attitude we see with most popular female fragrance review channels. Kudos!
Hi! Ohhh thank you so much for your comment! This is exactly what I am aiming to do - talk about the perfume and share my knowledge (and passion) for the scents and olfactory culture (and also exasperation with a lot of what's going on in the industry). Really happy you think I'm on the right track!
Thanks for the review I agree it’s a beautiful scent However, I think It is difficult to define the gender of Luce di Rosa, yes it’s floral but definitely not feminine.
Hi! Thank you for your feedback! You are right, perfume should have no gender. In the paradigm of the past, where scents were neatly divided between men’s and women’s section, anything floral like Luce Di Rosa would be put firmly into the women’s isle. Today it’s free for everybody to enjoy! While wearing it makes me feel very feminine, I totally get how it will combine beautifully and totally differently with men’s skin and temperament!
Thsnjs for this review... i sooo want this. Love rose fragrances.
You are most welcome! It’s a very beautiful perfume, not a classic rose though. It’s so spicy here, that it feels more like a peony. Gorgeous either way!
@@CosmetiquaMagazine yes, thank you.
Such a wonderful review! ❤ Thank you👌 Just ordered those two samples, waiting for them and your words prepared me perfectly for the experience🤭😉🤩! 🎉
Awww, thank you so much for your kind feedback! I hope you will enjoy the scents! Curious to know what you’ll think about them and which one you’ll prefer, once you’ve tried them!
@@CosmetiquaMagazine Hi again! Thank you for your kind curiosity 😉🙂. I'm already prepared to share my thoughts... Still, I was surprised while trying them - I like this 'surprise' factor. It was a pleasent surprise! I do not see any connections to Grand Soir (which I truly love and admire) in my opinion none of them shares any resemblence. Starting with Centaurus : It brought me the 'African Leather' Memo vibes. Sort of Coca Cola smell. Mixed with tobacco it is dark and really sexy. I found this fragrance more masculine but it could be a fantastic woman date night fragrance too, because of it's seductiveness of the naughty spicy character. I love the Tobacco drydown. It is amazing. Delphinius. At first I felt a bit medicinal smell or like from powdery drops. After a short while the beauty of Iris and leather started developing and playing an interesting game. The impression is mostly fruity-powdery-leathery with a tiny bit of sharpness. Very easy going but intriguing at the same time. It has a feminine soul I would say. The fruity experience to me is not only cherry but I feel the notes of an apple/pear tart. Also the powdery almond atmosphere resembles violets a lot..! Here are two connections. At first, very strongly it resembles Tendre Nuit by Isabey...(which I was using some time ago and have a strong 'deja vu' now) but Delphinius is way more optimistic and interesting with the fruity - leather combo. Another fragrance which came to my mind is Heliotrope Gingembre by Fragonard. The fruity - powdery contrasts are similar. All in all I didn't fell in love with any of them but I do value their quality and the atmosphere they create! This just isn't my cup of tea. For the Fall/Winter I made my choice. It will be Cappadocia by Memo. Wishing you a beautiful Autumn and many outstanding fragrance discoveries.
Hi! Wow! Thank you for getting back to me about them in such detail! Really appreciate it! It's interesting how everybody makes their own connections with scents! I'll need to resmell the ones you mention! To be honest, I'm all over the place for the coming season. So many perfumes that I like. Am just coming back from TFWA in Cannes where, among other things, I've been at the launch of the new Xerjoff XV, which to my surprise I enjoy a lot (a fresh fruity floral based on the champagne by the same name (XV)). Generally, a lot of fruity-florals coming our way in winter. And normally I wouldn't be in the mood, but this time there is something very vivacious about them that makes me want to try them even in the colder season. Vivi by Comporta for example. In love with Comporta's Dapper too (a genius leather perfume that was first released as super limited not-for-sale Porsche edition). Even Torino 24 smells kinda awesome (although maybe it's the Cannes atmosphere). The super stylish Kerylos from L'Objet, two surprising and original releases from Oman Luxury, the Essences from Amouage.... Totally addictive Royale Bourbon from Plume Imprission... a lot of good stuff that I'm excited about. Will try to post timely reviews of them.
@@CosmetiquaMagazine Oh what a celebration to the senses it must have been!!! 🥰 Glad you were given the chance to enjoy many new releases! Thank you for describing some of them in particular, maybe I will come across one day... Fruity-leathery is definitely vivacious, I agree! I'm looking for powdery-comforting scent for Winter, my skin chemistry doesn't respond to such fragrances easily... Maybe the special one will come my way! 😉
Hm... no promises, of course, as things can feel very different on skin from person to person, but maybe it's worth trying Mono Cashemere from L'Orchestre Parfum (it's new, released last month). It's a very soft, powdery iris-y scent, but with the addition of cashmeran, which makes it different than the "usual" powdery fragrances, kind of woodier and not sweet. Maybe it's something that could work.
This fragrance is soo nice. I’m a guy and gunna have to buy a bottle
Great choice! I think it’s one of the most underrated releases of the year. And since not too many people will even know about it, even better for those who do! 😎
A man could use this fragance?... cause I receive a sample and I like a lot!
Hi! Sure can! Gendering fragrances is so passé, I actually struggled whether I even should say anything about gender in the video. The thing is, it’s a floral, so 15 years ago it would have been firmly standing in woman’s section. But today no one really cares anymore. So these distinctions - leaning masculine or femenie - are just a relic of the past, designed to help users who have been out of touch with the perfume world. Truth is, once you wear it, it becomes yours, whether you are a man or a woman. So if you like it - wear it and don’t think twice!
I’m a guy and plan on buying. I usually wait for a sale on AdP though 😅
I sometimes randomly see some AdP bottles at TJMaxx, didn’t know the brand has official sales season! There are a few bottles I’d gladly buy!
Centaurus turned too masculine for me in the dry down. I own better spicy scents by Roja and prefer Grand Soir. I found Delphinus to be an uninspired cheap smelling fragrance. I own several Creed scents, but these were an easy pass. I bought Blonde Amber by CC instead.
Yeah, between the two Centaurus is a bit more masculine. What are your favorite Rojas? I feel that while Grad Soir is very classy, it’s too old-school for me. It’s a real amber classic. I love Delphinus though. Just the right amount of cherry for me to be interesting
Happy to see you. Now back to video!
Hi there! Happy to virtually see you too! ❤️
Would this Creed be more feminine of a scent then, or would than tonka and pepper make it a bit more masculine
Hi! I feel that while both new ones are unisex in nature, Centaurus leans a bit towards masculine, and Delphinus is a bit more appealing to the ladies. Although men buy it too. When I first was buying just one, I chose Delphinus for me. And added Centaurus later.
I disagree. I much prefer Naxos. Centaurus smells good initially, but as it develops, there’s a note that comes through that is extremely off-putting to me. It’s also overly strong, and I’m not sure where I could go to wear it in public. I returned my bottle. Delphinus is much better and a much more wearable fragrance.
Hi! I hear you! Sometimes perfumes can behave on skin in unexpected ways. For me, it’s quite the opposite - Naxos is so strong I don’t know where to hide from it, it seems so direct, lie a blast that never subsides. Centaurus on me is much more subtle, and I feel more notes compared to Naxos, which makes the experience more interesting. But choosing between Centaurus and Delphinus I’d also go with Delphinus because of the cherry vibe ❤️
I wouldn’t say that Naxos and Centaurus are similar, rather it smells alot like Ivory Route.
Oh, thanks! Need to smell those two together!
Lilac Love & Love Blossom are in my humble opinion the best beginner friendly type of to the Amouage House 🩵🩷
They are very pretty, I agree! Among today's candy-sweet technicolor fragrances they stand out as "classics"
To me, its a combination of Layton 78 Percent and Grand Soir old batch.
Wow! I admire your precision! tbh I don't get the Layton vibe at all, Layton feels much richer and boozier to me. But it's all about how the perfume makes YOU feel, no review can replace that. Do you enjoy Centaurus?
@@CosmetiquaMagazine Yes I do, it has pretty good performance I get 9hrs of longevity and 2.5 hours of scent bubble type of projection
@@Ansary587 That's pretty decent. I feel like it doesn't last quite that long on me, but to make up for it, it's noticeable for a bit longer - I feel it for 4-5 hours without sniffing closely at the skin
Thanks for advice
So happy it's been useful to you!
Wow cool ❤
Thank you!!!
Great review. Royal Oud was my #1 Creed. After getting both of these, I’d honestly push Royal Oud to #3. I personally think Naxos gets better as it drys down. Definitely not as good as Centaurus.
Hi! Royal Oud is such a classy perfume, totally get why you like it! Not much of an oud wearer myself (although I occasionally do, but I have to be in the mood for it), these two are the first Creeds I bought because I like them and intend to wear them, not only to post a review.
Naxos is better because it’s amazing and half the price. Centaurs is good as well but not worth the price at all.
Naxos definitely has better performance!
I just bought my first bottle of Creed Delphinus today. Just walking out of the store, I received so many compliments. Not to mention my husband when I got home. I've always been a fan of Creed fragrances. I own a few bottles but Delphinus is definitely the best, warm fragrance. Another item to check on my X-mas list.
Congratulations! It’s an amazing perfume! I also got it first. (And then couldn’t resist and also got Centaurus - as a collector one can always find a reason to get one more bottle 😄) I totally agree with you, it’s a compliment getter that is both very pleasant, easy to wear, and unique enough not to draw immediate comparisons with anything. Definitely a winner for Creed!
The best review ever! ❤
Awww! Thank you! Means a lot! ♥️
Thank you for the review, very detailed and to the point ❤
Thank you so much for the kind words! Happy you found it useful! ❤️
great review I love your reviews of Creed - I am new to your channel. I love Creed and I just purchased Delphinus - its stunning.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I‘m still new to publishing on UA-cam, so it means a world to me! And Delphinus was my first pick from the new duo too!
Your reviews are needed - we need a beautiful, highly educated, classy, and knowledgeable lady to help us navigate thru the world of perfumes... especially CREED - especially because they are so expensive! Mistakes are costly!! I just subbed to your instagram as well. I am happy I will be here with you as your presence grows on this platform.
@@JLOinthecity OMG, I want to reach across the screen and hug you! You just made my day :-) So happy you find my contribution to the perfume world useful! And you are so right, there are so many really expensive fragrances out there that all look good and it's so easy to get lost in the choice. I am fortunate to be working covering the industry for quite some time now, and so I have built a mental map of the landscape for myself to help me navigate the market and hopefully avoid mistakes. And I also feel very privileged to know many people in the industry who I can turn to for help if I have questions. But as a consumer, especially somebody who is just starting to get interested in perfume, I don't know what I would do. I'd probably end up buying a lot of stuff I don't use and decide perfume is just not for me, because it's too complicated. So if I can share some of my knowledge with the world, I'm very happy. Btw, if you are ever in Berlin, let me know. Would love to show you around our perfume scene, as there is quite a vibrant one here, despite Berlin not being known as a perfume capital.
@@CosmetiquaMagazine OMG and if you are ever in NYC - let's shop together at Bergdorf Goodman!
I agree they have a vintage vibe about them but they're beautiful fragrances.
True! Very well-blended and classy!
