Behind The Scenes Look At New Machinery

A quick overview and look at a new case processor we are testing out. In theory this machine should outperform and replace the current Camdex 223 processors we currently use. If so we will be ordering more of them. Time to put it through the paces

Why the failure to feed?
Thank you for the information
How many takes did it take?
You have the gun with can, & ammo, at the Range, but don't even shoot it for us so we can hear how effective it is (or isn't) & how well the functionality is (or isn't) , which is what we all wanted to hear & see?? Way to go, Einstein!
Am I missing something? How are you saying that a heavier bullet (147) has less recoil than a lighter one (115) ???
Don’t need to go so far forward on your trigger reset. Practice practice practice.
Every 10 years, syndicates in collusion create a capsule shortage, then raise the price threefold. These tiny rivets can't possibly be worth what they cost now. But they don't care-they're making a business out of it. It's really disgusting to buy a primer that costs 0.02 cents for 0.1 The cannabis business might not even be that profitable...
Around 1966 I bought a Marlin 336 in 44 Magnum. The stoutest load at that time was the Super Vel 180 JHP. As I remember, it clocked over 2000 fps, and was devastating on feral cats and ditch tigers. The also offered 180 JSP as component bullets for handloaders, like myself. I remember the black and yellow boxes. I didn't know they are still in business, which is good news.
I purchased the sample pack of 115 124, 147 9mm a couple weeks ago and then ordered 1,000 rounds of the 124 and went to the range today. Love it. More accurate than anything I’ve used previously when tested on 2” squares at 10 yards. I’m Super Vel all the way now. Will test and compare the defensive ammo next
What recoil spring?
She's got a good run.
Excellent info. Thanks.
Very much interested in Super Vel ammo, sarcastic remarks about the President of the United States not so much. Please keep to topic.
Been using small rifle primers in my 9mm for years.
Are those barnes bullets?

is that inline press the newer "Ammo Load" machine? I could watch that all day.
Excellent video. thank you very much.
Stay the course.
If I ship my factory Glock 17 G5 slide to you guys, can you install SLD on my slide even though my slide has been milled for RMR dot?
Is only the upper/slide modified on the hush puppy? Or is the lower/frame also modified?
I’m sure there are a variety of concerns, but for the most part is this a 1-1 swap of standard pistol primers and the rest of the load data remains? I reload handgun, PCC and AR and long gun
Appreciate this one
Love the overview 😊
The only issue to long range accuracy shooting .223 is wind. In fact just a 1 mph crosswind will displace an 80 grain VLD bullet 10 inches at 1000 yards. Of course a 1 mph wind can only be observed from smoke so even Champion NRA Long Range US Service Rifle Competitors will find the 10 inch X-Ring elusive. BTW, the 77 grain Mk262 round has an MOA wind constant of 8 at 600 yards when shot from a 20 inch barrel at 2750 fps so a 1 mph crosswind will displace bullet about 5 inches and a 10 mph wind will displace bullet about 45 inches. What this means to all is no matter what the wind velocity and direction you must be able to appraise it accurately and apply the correct amount of wind favor to hit the target where desired when shooting a .223 at mid to long range. Thing is most shooters have not received the training needed to hit where desired at mid to long range. My perspective on this is as a CMP-USAMU Military Rifle Instructor assisting the USAMU deliver SDM Training, US Distinguished Rifleman, and American High Power Rifleman in Long-Range Award Winner. At any rate, the best place to get the sort of training needed to hit targets at mid to long range is the USAMUs Small Arms Firing School. It’s an annual three day event for civilians hosted by the CMP at Camp Perry Ohio in late July.
no offense, but this course looks extremely basic
Never did see 1k range hit on all three claims...replay several times.
I compared the pixels between the last view of the target with the one five seconds prior and there is no change. I suspect he used the wrong footage or completely missed the target by many feet.
Looks like Boulder city rifle and pistol club ?
@@jordijohnson3281 💯
It did that because it failed to expand , like in all the other testing , it fails until it gets to a 3-4" barrel
I'm up north in Fernley and occasionally shoot .223 at 1000 yards (just did it last weekend). Currently using Freedom Munitions 69 grain HP and got 1 hit out of 1o shots on 16 inch square (yes, wind is crazy in Nevada because of terrain). I'm going to have to find some of this ammo and try it at 1000 yards and see how I do with it.
@@desertdwellers7294 keep is posted on how it performs for you
You should consider VLD bullets, 80 to 90 grain for long range. Bullets in the 69 to 77 grain arena are typically only viable for the 200 and 300 yard rapid fire stages of US Service Rifle Competition.
I thought last LBC stopped making A.R. 15s I used to have two of them 20 years ago
Ive used magnum and or rifle primers in all of my handguns. Still have all of my fingers
Ive found the 115gr to feel great in govt length 2011s. Gets that slide moving a little quicker with great return
mike you ever tried the gas gun matches at sin city precision
I have not but I am looking into them
I like tht shirt, any link to order?
Started shooting and carryiing Super Vel products in the late 1960's in CA. Sort of lost contact with you all, but found you again in Las Vegas. I shoot every week at Boulder City Range, with my friends. I use your reman 9mm exclusively for practice. I turned my next door neighbor on to your products, and now he shoots your 5.565 exclusively. It's good to know who makes your ammo, especially when you can't reload your own anymore. Thanks to you all.
Where is this range at?

Awesome! Just in time for the gas gun match in September!

Started using Super Vel in the 60's, when you produced some really effective service loads, and we all went to your product. Found you again a little while ago. Yesterday, I received the third thousand round box of 9mm 15 grain practice ammo. It's like seeing an old friend again.
@@fredschloss9517 thanks you for support now and back then 😎
That’s awesome Mike a lot of thought and testing I’m sure went into that
Hi. I have a question, I'm thinking about using the 9mm 115gr subsonic Copper Hollow Points for my edc, would you recommend that or?

Thanks Mike. Great explanation on something that’s seems complicated.
You ever plan on bringing back the “Bring Your Own Primers” deal at Super Vel? 😃🇺🇸👍🏾
In a 9mm revolver....,
Would you recommend the 115gr subsonic Copper Hollow Points for an edc option?
