Shame I don't really do PVP lol 😆 only reason I changed his form too 100% was due to the fact I had to use my Zygarde cells before I could start collecting more of them. 😂

It's called quick catching. So it's a way of catching Pokémon more quickly especially useful for days like community days and spotlight hours where the spawns are really dense. The way to do it is to click and drag the Berry button up and hold it there while you throw with your other hand. Or if you're left handed you can click drag the balls selection button upwards and throw with your left hand. Hope this helps

No unfortunately the chance doesn't increase on the fact that you've tried catching it more. This theory was based on stats for legendary raids and catching legendary Pokémon from raids. With Galarian birds being legendary Pokémon I based this video around the possibility that the same mechanics would be in use for the legendary Galarian birds as they are on the legendary raids. But since this video there has been more concrete findings on how you can increase your catch rate for these Galarian Birds and I will be bringing you another video on my channel this weekend explaining all the ways in which you can increase your chances. Yh this was a screen recording from the Pokémon World Championships event last week but yes weekly and field research tasks, if you get a shiny you can back out and enter back into them afterwards and it will be shiny again with the same CP. You can't lose a shiny when it's from research or weekly tasks luckily.

The event has finished now unfortunately but it was the Pokémon World Championship event last weekend

Yh with the average catch rate being 0.3% it incredibly rare to catch unless you use Master Balls

I personally wouldn't unless you are lucky friends... You could purify it on the alt and then trade it to your main and it gets a lot worse in IVs You can wait until you're lucky but by that time we may have Entei back around on shadow or normal raids so my tip would be to mark it down as a lucky trade for now and see what happens first getting your own shiny or going lucky friends with your alt.
