You didn't show what the exact data and configuration between the bub and the esp, what is the common thing between the esp and the cloud that make them communicate with each other? Please show us where did you take the ID from and where you put it, and similar for the authenticator.

Hi @AronAyub, I am working on a project with TTGO ESP32 WROOVER-E Development board. I want to send the data to Azure IoT hub using MQTT. Do I need to generate any certificates from device side and enter it while registering the device in Azure IoT hub? If yes, I didn't find any video/forums/related documents of uploading the certificates to my ESP32. And I want to directly connect to Azure IoT hub without using SDK and please share if there are any documents related to my project: i.e., from device certificate generation then connecting to Azure IoT hub using MQTT.

Hi there, there's a new SDK released over time by Microsoft, please check their official GitHub incase you find some challenges in the library. The library used for the tutorial may have issues from 2024 onwards.

Hi Can you create a video series in which the new embedded C SDK can be used for connecting an ESP32 Device to Azure IoT hub and send telemetry data. I am really struggling to do this. It would be really helpful if you could create a series with the new embedded C SDK provided by Microsoft.

Great series. I only had WeMos D1 mini with DHT11 shield available (which seems to be suited better for such a small project anyway), so the coding part is different, but with your help I was able to set up IoT hub and all the rest of Azure services. Thanks Aaron!!

Nice video , one Q - When we register any device in IoT hub ,we get Primary key and secondary key and we also generate SAS through Azure CLI using device id,hub name and policy How we are connecting from ADF to the iOT hub through rest? Are we using SAS token under Header-> Auth tab in REST component in ADF or do we need to use Primary I'd Secondary I'd from registered Device?If we use SAS,Do we need to regenerate SAS token everytime when we are connecting to IoT hub from ADF or for every event device generates?

Seems many IOT Cloud services no longer exist (Sense Tecnic Front-End for Node-RED (FRED), NotifyMyAndroid, Cloud Foundry/Blue-Mix Free Tiers etc)... I'd like to use something like Node-Red (PubNub, Pusher, FlowFuse) or MindStudio, AirTable, etc.. to do No-Code calls to (REST) APIs. Some of the APIs I want to call are from Twilio, OffCloud, Kura, Flogo, Apache NiFi, StreamSets, thingsboard, thingspeak, Johnny-Five JS, etc.

This is very interesting. Microsoft has a quick start tutorial on using ESPRESSIF ESP32-Azure IoT Kit. But this is an expensive board. Can I use other cheaper ESP32 board as shown in your youtube video. Many thanks

Hello Aron, Sorry to bother you. But I've been having this problem. your code as well as many others don't seem to be working in Northern Europe sever. I had some questions about your code. I didn't know where to ask. 1. connectowifi - I don't recognise this function and it doesn't look defined. What is the function block for unsecured no password devices. 2. Are you using stale code and video? I think the cert roots have changed ERROR: MQTT client connect attempt failed. Check host, deviceId, username and password. (state -2) I always hang on this state. I have quadruple checked these.

There is no azureiothub library anymore and azure iothubmqtt client gives me an error sayinf that it is for esp8266 , is there any workaround for this?

Hi everyone, Thank you for following my content and subscribing to my channel. Apologies if you are getting an error when you try to run the code. I recently received a message from Microsoft on migration that happened. "We'll be migrating some of your IoT Hubs and/or IoT Central Apps from the Baltimore CyberTrust Root to the DigiCert Global G2 root within the next two weeks, on 11 October 2023. Any devices that don't have the DigiCert Global G2 root added to your trusted root store won't be able to connect to the migrated IoT Hub or IoT Central App". If you are in a position to debug the issue, let the community know, meanwhile i will be following with Microsoft team to assist. However, i urge you to try debugging it 😃

Thanks for this video, but this example is not function anymore after 2023, June 23. Something changed in connection and the authentication isn't working. If you know how to fix it, please share with us.
