The word Metamelomai occurs two times in Matthew 21:23-32, The meaning is to experience regret or sorrow and to change ones mind. It is translated correctly in the NIV and ESV. bible versions The meaning of biblical repentance is much different than a person changing ones mind

Thank you, everyone, for the beautiful memorial service. I have many fond memories with grandpa, notably the plane trips he took me on every year for my birthday when I was young, family get-togethers at holidays, and later going for breakfast at the golf course. Grandpa was always a very hard worker and innovative up until the end. I remember him always showing me projects he was working on with excitement. He also had a wonderful sense of humor, and it was always fun talking to him and sometimes debating. On top of my personal memories with grandpa, I know he had a great influence on raising my mom to be the strong woman who raised me. Thank you Lee for being an amazing grandpa and for being such an uplifting influence on me, those I love, and the community. Love you always, grandpa, and rest in peace.
