Nice run. The fast guys use a lot of engine braking and can brake right at the limit. I'd go right off track trying to keep up with them. I'm hoping to get a better feel of these cars to attack the braking zones a little more aggressively as the season goes on.

Last 10 laps...urgh. Pretty good result considering how it could have easily ended. That outside move while 3 wide through 4 was high anxiety.

In the gen 2 I found I had to heel toe and blip on downshift, and it helped with hard braking rear lock up on downshift, looks like gen 3 you don't need to blip on downshift. I must get on and give Gen 3 a go. How do we get into your races. I'm in New Zealand.

What did you think of the gen 3's? I was driving the 2014 commodore. I attempted to drive that car years ago when I was new to the service. The experience was so traumatic after a few laps of spinning that I never dared to get in it again. I guess I learned a lot more since then. I am by no means quick, but I could at least turn incident free laps. For the difficulties of this car, the race was very clean. I was impressed with the driving standards, but that's the K5 group for ya.

I think I've now watched this race via 5 different drivers 😂

That was a fun one. I'd never do that kind of race in officials, but I'm game for a K5 race.

Found it. you have to enable it in advanced settings. siingle profile switch changes to multiple when clicked.

Where's the carnage, the gnashing of teeth, the renting of clothes...? You call this a rookies series? I want my money back! The 6 really liked to pinch. That's a recipe for disaster with these hitboxes. Luckily you both escaped. Now you can celebrate.

Wow. That one takes the cake for worst I've seen. So many drivers in that just need to give it up. The perfect storm of stupidity.

Wow, rough start. Nothing you could do about those two incidents either. Luckily they occurred before the caution. Good driving considering the damage and scorched tires.

hehe was Fun! my first Heat Race event in iRacing :D i found myself on your video #43 and my team mate #44 but we didnt knew how this races are done, we where very suprised!

I signed up for this last minute, and then found out it has a 30-minute (?!?) practice session included, so I had to quit because I didn't have time for that.

Nice run. The 2 was quick. I've only ran the normal layout so my heart sunk when you went left over the bridge. I would have died my first lap since I didn't expect that. What's your last 3k license, dirt oval?

Well that was a special one: from the first lap to the last.

Boy the setup sure did ruin our 5 car battle for the lead with people running both the high and low lanes.

I forgot how bad the brakes are on this thing and heated the tires up a few times at the start of the race. Should have gotten a little more practice beforehand. I'll have to remember how far back I need to start breaking to keep the tires cool.

2 biggest things I think that did you in was BB was still too high (I was running 48-50%) and you would drive it in a bit too deep for 1/2. I would lift and brake at the S/F line which put less stress and wear on the tires for 1/2. Good run overall though!

Nice run. If you can manage to avoid the incidents then you're almost guaranteed a top 10. Top 5 is tough with this crowd. Hopefully you'll keep finding good luck.

Nice run. Almost got smoked a few times by the 1 and 8, but you kept it together. Looks like your patented 3rd gear technique has been stolen.

Sucks to see how much you got used up. Pretty much been my experience this week in this series. If they can't make the pass with setting it up, they just dive it in/move you.

Was going great until it wasn't. Tough place to be when cars start losing it in front. Pack racing is a coin flip. Now we can move on to the real races, ha.
