Camino to Santiago de Compostela and Fisterra via the Northern route Camino del Norte Camino Finisterre/Fisterra
I loved the music choice, well matched with the beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing!
Nice job, Patrick! I have some beautiful pictures in here. What was your favorite section?
Hello what a Nice video 😉 think its ok to walk on this camino by mid september to october ?
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I guess starting mid September should still be ok for the Norte. Less people, not too warm anymore and generally fine weather (although it rained last week in Bilbao). Good luck and enjoy! Buen Camino!
Precioso!!! Realmente hermoso!!!

Toll
Guemes is the closest thing to a cult along Del Norte, and I've stayed with the 12 tribes.
This is the way. Thank you so much for posting. Cheers !
Thank you for sharing your impressions. WONDERFUL video, EXCELLENT music. Inspired me to walk the Camino del Norte. I will start on May 12 from Irun:)
How impressive, hoping so much one day I will be able to be there too, on my way on Camino del Norte❤
Prachtige reportage.
Dear Patrick, thank you so much for this wonderful film. In particular the sound accordance at the finale - wonderful implemented - chapeau! Tons of memories came to life - than I was walking the same way in June/July 2022 myself. Up to Santiago by my one and the "finish" together with my wife. Guess the softare you used was AquaSoft (?) - let´s see if I can create my one video now..... Ultreia et Suseia! Berthold
Hi Berthold. Thanks for the comments and the compliments. All pictures/videos were taken with my iPhone and I made the film with iMovie on my MAC. It's a very easy program to use but of course only on Apple computers. Let me know when your's is ready! Best regards, Patrick
@@patrickgoossens35 Done! What do you think? ua-cam.com/video/et6xgF3z0Co/v-deo.html
absolutely stunning, how did you film that, with a camera on the wing or what. watching your walk camino del norte now.
Hi Marianne. Thanks for the reaction. Yes, it was with a GoPro camera on the wing tip. I was glad it didn't fall off. And, although I'm a pilot for more than 50 years now, walking the camino is still a bigger adventure... All the best, Patrick
Beautiful images and captures. Perfect soundtracks. Thank you so much.
Sehr schöne Bilder- danke dir
walking del norte in may 2023, so this was super helpful, inspiring and simply beautiful! thank you for sharing this magical experience with us all. any advice?
Many thanks for the comment and sorry for replying so late. I guess I can give you two advices: * Don't underestimate the Norte physically. I found it a hard route to walk, especially the first week. Of course after some time you get better trained and it becomes easier but it is 'up and down' the whole 800 km. * The Norte is not a crowded route. At least not in April, I guess May may be a bit busier. But towards the end, try to avoid as long as possible joining the Frances because that is really crowded and the change with the 'loneliness' of the weeks before comes a bit as a shock (fortunately for me it was only the last day). You can do that by avoiding Azuro and, after Sobrado dos Moxes, head for Boimonte and then directly to Lavacolla. This last part is a new route but with very limited sleeping opportunity. But you can do it in two days/one night. And it is shorter than via Azuro. Although the Norte is a coastal route, I enjoyed the part from Ribadeo to Compostela the most. Maybe I was fed up with the sea... I wish you all the best and certainly a Buen Camino! Patrick
and I will go on May 10, 2023 from Irun
Beautiful, wonderful photos. Thank you
Thank You for the wonderful video! Can you please tell us,was there many pilgrims to walk with? We are hoping to begin the Norte in May,2023.
Hi Mikari. Thanks for the comment and sorry for replying so late. I left on the Norte on April 10th and didn't find too many other pelgrims on the way: walking alone was no problem at all but there were enough pelgrims to meet in the evenings in the albergues. I guess that May may be a bit busier. Only at the end of the Norte, where the route joins the Frances, it becomes very busy and I would certainly advise to stay away from the Frances as long as possible (unless of course you like much company). You can do that by not going via Arzua but head after Sobrado dos Moxes to Boimorto and then directly to Lavacolla. I wish you a nice walk. Buen Camino! Patrick
Music & pictures are just perfect. Brings back wonderful memories. Thank you for sharing. <3 Buen Camino
