2024 Torchlight Procession Cancelled/ Shetland's Vikings March in the Old Town of Edinburgh
,Edinburgh Torchlight Procession 2024 is cancelled ,Around 20,000 people were set to march through the historic old town of Edinburgh with torches.
Shetland's South Mainland Up Helly Aa' Jarl Squa march from the meadows towards Grassmarket to entertain the thousands of visitors across the globe..they were chanting and singing while marching..and the group gave a chance to the people for photo sessions
Due to high winds, the Edinburgh Hogmanay fire parade's opening event was cancelled two hours prior to its scheduled commencement. Safety inspections of the torches along the Old Town procession route necessitated the cancellation of the traditional torchlight procession.

Don't be fooled. Edinburgh like anywhere else can be a dangerous place especially at this time of the year. If its cold, it's miserable and you need plenty of money to spend! I live 10 miles away in Airdrie and I simply wouldn't go near the place!!!
