terrible accoustics
I think the acoustics are pretty good for a live show, probably recorded on someone's cell phone - you can hear the vocals (including lyrics!, lots of harmonies), guitars, drums, etc. Odds are good that Steve and boys turned up the sound quality a little to play on the Grand Ole Opry stage.

Is it stolen if the 'dude' is the listed composer in the album credits? 'cos I'm pretty sure Pena is listed in the album credits. If that is the case, Miller might have made the guy a few bucks. Chuck Berry once thanked Keith Richards for selling so many copies of his compositions.
Pena got his royalties from this song. Not exactly stolen. But...a shout out would have been nice.
How did he ever get the tag line "Stevie Guitar Miller"? He's never played one memorable lick, EVER! He doesn't even play lead in his own band, he just strums camp fire chords!

Actually, go to the stuff (like 5 or 6 albums) from before 1973 and he knocked a few out back then. And he sometimes stretches out in live shows. But he seems to play for the song, not to show off. And he has at time used a _lot_ of synths! And used some sidemen, too, I'll agree!

Bite Down Hard was one of the best records of the 80's that came out in the early 90's. If it had been released from '87-'89 it would have sold millions.
Their biggest selling cd that came out in 88 at the height of hair metal went gold. It had their two biggest hits. So how is Bite Down Hard which had ZERO hits, going to have sold millions?
The problem was the band was pulled out of touring too soon and came out with an album too different and too soon. Plus dizzy dean davidson left the group to form black eyed Susan. Who knows where he’s at these days
If they would’ve kept touring through 89 the album would’ve been more huge. It takes time for albums to grow

@Richard Flora remember that album they put out, I think it was in the late 90s called "Springhead motor shark"? Hopefully you don't remember it, that reminded me of grunge a little bit. I listened to it once, I met Michael Kelly Smith at a Rock convention in valley forge, he talked me into it. I remember asking him if it sounded like their old stuff, he said not exactly.
