I love Mesquite! That rocky side-hill spot makes my butthole pucker though...
hells yeah !! 🤘
Looks like Spot i Ride in Oregon.
That dude on the Stark is rocking some sick ass OG SMP gear!!🤘🤘
Great riding! I've done the big hill in the beginning of the video on my trials bike, but haven't tried on my normal bike. I remember it being super steep and loose! You made it look easy!!! :)
@@moto6193 it’s still steep and super loose. The JX8 does extremely well out there
@@JeffXstrom47 I've only been able to get ~15 hours out of a JX8. Do you get more than that?
what front tire ? i’ve got a VE35 on now, and it’s great on the rocks, but sucks everywhere else…
@BradVentureAZ it's a Michelin star-cross 5 hard 90/100/21. Best tire I've ran.
great free ride, looks like fun !!!
I love these types of videos. Be careful and safe and keep working hard and don’t give up.
I feel ripped off with that ending. Did Daniel come up or what?
@lukejaten i have video from my phone of him making it. It took a few tries, but he made it.
hahah do some cool... that wasnt cool LOLOL
Why on earth did they decide it was a good idea to make the bike beep at you every time it came to a stop...
@freeze1305 i can't figure out the mindset behind alot of the ideas in this bike.
you would kill it in AMRA !! you could race against Ali, maybe shut him up a little…! 😂🤘
@BradVentureAZ Thanks man. Ali isn't getting any slower.
@@JeffXstrom47would be fun to see you guys race against each other though!
@ Ali would most likely beat me. His skills are improving quicker than mine are. He pushes the limits further than I’m willing to push them. His energy is far higher than mine. If I were to race it would be grinding stone and most likely team up with Ali to help each other thru the hard sections. As a race fan, I would like to Bartosh vs Ali. Those two seem to have all the fastest KOM’s.
Love the rocky washes...picking your way through the best lines...very nice!
would you rather have the Husky or an Ultra Bee or Arctic Leopard on this ride??
@AmpedRider I think the Arctic would have been the easiest to ride up the bigger obstacles. I can ride the husky a little lazier and sit more often than on the Arctic.
Great riding on a nearly impossible trail!!
Awesome tech trails. I upgraded my suspension to Formula Tech fork and shock. It really transforms the bike. The stock suspension is a lost cause IMHO. Too bad as its the most expensive thing to change on a bike. I made a homemade chain guide, and added rubber orings to the front floating disk and front sprocket - which all reduces the rattles.... the motor and range are amazing, I only ever ride on mode 1 for hard enduro.
@@Daniel-the-marmot the bike desperately needs suspension. Do you have any pics or video of the chain guide? The rattle is terrible.
Gnar 💪🏼
nice to see you out at random places ! were you just exploring ?
@BradVentureAZ ya so much fun.
@, ever ride with Kimble ?
@BradVentureAZ we ride a couple times a month but on the electric bikes.
@ if you come down to Copa with your two smoker, hit me up ! i’ve got a ‘trail’ that even Kimble said has too many rocks 😂 (only four people have made it to the top so far)
@@BradVentureAZ Sounds fun. Who has made it to the top?
how to get empathy from any man… ‘i pulled my groin’ 😂😂🥰
Hell yeah!
That's some great riding on some seriously gnarly stuff. AZ rocks!! :)
Making it look easy!! If I didn't have work on a Wednesday i would join in with you, Luke and the other fellas!! Solid riding.
I’ll be out there eventually once this broken rib heals up. 🤙
@jm6918 ouch. Heal up quick.
love the trash talk in this one !!
dude all those trees are gone!! cant wait to get back out there !!!
So sad.
Is Mesquite fully open now?
@@GhostHammerX yea
Can’t wait to ride wet cabin again
One of these days, I would love to join you guys on your Bulldog ride(s). Looks like you are finding (and creating) some good trails :)
You’re more than welcome anytime.
great video, thanks! Are you happy with the E-X800? Trying to decide between that and the EXE880. I have shorter legs so leaning toward the E-X800. Where are you in AZ? I am in North East Mesa.
I really like the bike. If I can get the suspension right, I’d love it. I saw the EX880 in person and it’s the size of a full size dirt bike. I’d like to ride the 880 to get a solid feel for it. I’m off Val Vista and Baseline.
@@JeffXstrom47 The EX800 is the lead runner in the bike I order spring of 2025. I intend to order the TECH suspension. Waiting on some reviews of it, but I'm more than willing to pay for upgraded parts from the factory rather than immediately binning parts and paying a LOT for aftermarket replacements. Have you any insight or opinion on the optional TECH suspension like when it will be available and if it will be worth it? Thanks.
@@MrChadx1 I haven’t used tech but it’s common on trials bikes. I’m hoping tech has adjustability like stiffer springs and valving options. Trials suspension isn’t great at high speeds. The suspension should come stock with Tech at no additional charge in my opinion. $9500 gets you a badass ready to race KTM with amazing suspension. I think the freeride is under $10k and has plenty of power for trails. If the china bikes done come stock with amazing suspension, they’re gonna get left behind by KTM.
@@JeffXstrom47 I'd use the EX800 for slower trails, gnarly single track, etc. so soft/supple trials type suspension would be perfect. I have ICE bikes and ATVs for fast trail work and long rides. It amazes me that there are so few companies offering high end options on their midsize bikes. I don't want to be forced into a fullsize bike to get good suspension, wheels, battery range, etc. Too costly to buy and immediately upgrade suspension, battery and wheels like on a Surron Ultra. AL EX800 is the closest to what I want out of an electric dirtbike for my single track use case (slightly smaller than fullsize bike so it's lighter and easier to handle in gnarly/tight terrain, 21/18 wheelset, big battery for honest 40 (and even 50mile) range without running battery to zero every ride). Only unknown with EX800 is high end suspension rather than standard.
@@JeffXstrom47 FYI, KTM just released the specs on the all new electric Freeride. There are interesting choices as its is specced fairly different than anything else out there. First, it's street legal. It has a fullsize seat height (35+") and weight (250lbs) but only has a 5kWh battery and only 11kW output. Has a swappable battery. It's a strange combination but different than anything else out there so fits in a different notch than the mid-sized bikes and the fullsize bikes currently available. No announced price, but it will likely be quite expensive. If it had a 6kWh battery or more, it would be more interesting. Hopefully they will offer a couple different battery sizes. But at least the charger can now run on 120v and not only 240v like last KTM Freeride model. That was annoying. Ha.
这是在那里,路线非常好

Good riding Jeff, did you break anything in the crash?
@@John-wv2gb Thanks. The bike does most of the work. Nothing broke. I’m there are some scrapes on the levers and pegs. I was super surprised a lever diddnt snap. I bent the left side peg bracket. It’s not enough to need to be replaced.
What app does it use?
FarDriver
Trail looks fun!
You missed out on a good ride.
sorry for roosting you! thanks for following. 💀🌲🛵
@@Sen-it hahah I held my breath on the uphill. I can’t believe the GoPro lens diddnt crack. Good times.
rippin !! 🤘🤘
What power mode were you in? How was the regen working? Did anything loosen up, bolts etc.
@@John-wv2gb I was in power 2 of 3. I have level 2 set to 60% power with mild regen. The regen works but the on/off button doesn’t, so it’s always on. I have level 3 set to 100% power and heavy regen. Level 3 is only good for street riding. Nothing has come loose besides a couple screws that hold the side plastics. The front rotor is a floating rotor so it clangs as you ride. Super annoying on a silent bike. The chain slaps unless it’s what I think is over tight.
@@JeffXstrom47 I have had pretty much the same experience on my EX700. Hard to get the regen set right. Lots of power for sure. My back brake is not working properly at the moment. I have been playing with the suspension setting and is getting better. I thought I quieted that annoying beep when you first give it throttle, however it has come back.
@@John-wv2gb my rear brake is bad. I’ve bled it 3 different times and it’s no good. I’m going to look into replacing the master. I figured out the beep will go away when the head light is on. I’ll look into by passing the switch to stop that annoying beep during day rides.
How does this bike compare to the freeride? I checked out the 800 at a dealer yesterday...I was a little disappointed in build quality
@@jetrep I only rode my friends freeride for a few minutes. The free ride feels much better built, no clanging noises and suspension is much better. I can feel the extra weight and longer geometry but that wasn’t a bad thing. We were climbing some steep lose stuff and once I came to a stop on the short based Leopard, it was challenging to get momentum without lifting the front wheel. My friend on the Free is also a better rider than I am so he makes this stuff look easy. Almost as easy as the video makes this look flat.
How is the bike holding up, have you changed anything?
@@JerryApproved0 it’s far better than a e-bike like surron or talaria. The subframe is very weak but with some extra bolts and washers it’s better. Aluminum would be ideal. The suspension is pretty bad but it sounds like the next gen will be better stock.
Where can I learn more about the next generation (2025) of the EX 800?
@@MattsMovies1 I think Arctic is trying to wait to release the next gen specs.
everyone is going electric…! how about a review video ?!
hey Jeff, do you race any AMRA events ?
@@BradVentureAZ no I haven’t. I don’t have much interest in racing. I raced street bikes years ago and it’s financially exhausting.
@@JeffXstrom47 i was curious if i could bump into you at the Kelly Canyon race
@@BradVentureAZ I won’t be there. I’ll see ya in a random ghost ride.
ah man, i really wanted to go on this one, but i got the Covid… glad you got to hang out with the boys !!
Love these guys. Hope you feel better.
@@JeffXstrom47 i’m glad you enjoyed it ! if you’re interested, we have a whole camp and ride series ! are you on the group page ?
@@BradVentureAZ I was told about this ride from Josh Kimble. But I’m on the ghostriderz page, I just don’t visit fb enough.
@@JeffXstrom47 honestly, if it weren’t for GRZ, i probably wouldn’t even have FB. you know Kimble too huh ?! he is the first guy i rode with in AZ, good dude.
I am sure the hot weather didn’t make this ride any easier! 🙂
The heat was bad but combined with the humidly it was brutal. Being exhausted makes it tough to commit to obstacles and I end walking or being walked by the bike.
heck yeah !!! 🤘🖤🤘 love the bushwhacking exploring kind of rides !!
Super cool! Are you planning to switch to the Stark? (I've heard that people have a hard time getting used to not having a clutch)
I’m planning to pick one up in the near future. I’ve ridden upgraded Surron’s and Talarias for a while now and I’m used to not having a clutch (although I would prefer one). The power of the Stark is amazing! It was set to 40hp or so. Being able to pull power out of a turn all the way to the next turn without shifting is fun. This stark had tuned suspension or at least the forks and it felt great. The front is noticeably heavier especially when I need to quickly flick the bike away from a rock on the trail. I only had a few minutes of seat time but with time, I think it will be my full time bike. Especially if they come out with a clutch option.
@@JeffXstrom47 I range a problem (I seem to recall that you do some longer rides)?
@@moto6193 yeah, range is the issue. It seems like guys are getting around 25 miles on single track. I’m sure you can more on lower power settings.
good times!!!!!!! thanks for being there
what a great ride, looks like a ton of fun !!
i’m so going to pretend that i’m mad at Ali for not inviting me….!! 😁🤘
