Well, with 3km minimum distance for a max damage they are easy to chase in a destroyer and kill. I do it all the time now without any fear :)

Yes, indeed, Lightning is my favorite DD right now. I even hesitate to move my captain to Daring and play Daring instead. :) World of Warships is a game after all - it should be fun and playing Lightning is fun! :)

Mahan is my favorite T7 dd at the moment. US dd line is quite awesome, especially starting at T7. Benson at T8 has great concealment, firepower and torpedoes, and fun to play, but I like Lightning more.

I experimented a little with with TRB, but it was miserable with CV chasing me. Forgot to switch to smoke, but worked out this time. :)

:) Well, I play mostly destroyers, I started playing U-69 at some point to learn their strengths and weaknesses. Shotgunnig nerf is a huge hit to submarines, I am kind of glad it happened since it was very annoying to get killed in DD while chasing subs. :)

Well, it is possibly something unothodox - I increase torp speed with both ship module and a captain's skill to 72 knots. Captain has only 10 points, brand new, so preventive maintenance, survivability expert and concealment. The rest of ship modules are typical - engine room protection, propulsion module, etc.

Pings gotten very dangerous - you get a swarm of AWS planes as a retaliation and possibly submarine surveillance. This battle worked, but overall, I find playing subs extremely difficult now... :)

Yes, playing subs gotten very tricky after 13.1/13.2 patch. But shotgunning was extremely annoying for other ship classes, so kind of understandable to nerf it... But subs now - oh my - submarine surveillance everywhere, an amount of AWS is insane, very tricky to play.

Thank you :) I finally got enough coal to buy Andrew Cunningham, but now I am not sure. Do you see his talents activated often? How practically useful are those? As an alternative, Gunther Lutjens is possibly a good choice, at least for me - I like having hydro, especially at higher-tier battles where there is such a crazy swarm of torpedoes... :| And German DDs do have hydros. Or using coal to buy those coal premium DDs.... Choices, choices... :)

I use Andrew Cunninghame on all my premium Brit ships. I run him on Daring@@AtanSol-ro4ss and I do prock his torp and 2 kills special talents. The third one is witherer and you get a 10 percent faster reload.

Well, I am really bad BB player, so staying away from those monsters :)

Getting a Jutland finally, but want to keep Lightning... Despite all the shortcomings, this is probably my favorite dd at the moment.

I do not know how to play this line, it is such a different feel.... It is more a cruiser then dd. I dislike it, but trying to learn and hopefully change my opinion.

I am going to get Andrew Cunningham once I accumulate enough coal. For now I got Dunkirk. I use Gallant and Lightning to train him. He has only 15 points, so no AR. I feel that RPF helps a lot with situational awareness, so I started using RPF more on all commanders where I have enough skill points.

I like British dd line, it is quite enjoyable to play.

Not sure what you mean... 'promosm' - what does it mean?
