Random mechanical repairs and redneck projects
Simply caring for a Hot Tub my easy way
When it comes to caring for a hot tub, it can be a bit confusing and even a bit wasteful of your hard earned money especially to begin with. as a new owner of a hot tub last year, I spent to much time, effort and money trying to master the how-to care of my new BullFrog hot tub. The dealer is going to try and make as money from you as possible so they will sell you excessive products to help you.
Now I only use Clorox chlorine tablets in a floating dispenser, baking soda as an alkalizing agent, Clorox pool clarifier and anti-foam. I'm probably saving 50+% on my supplies and it's easier to maintain proper levels without overloading the water with dissolved solids.

Переглядів 1392 роки тому
it's been about 11 months since I started this project and over the last several months I have not done any videos or updates on it so with this video just show me what I've done and what I got left to do. I don't have much time to work on this truck as much as I would like or every time I turn around I run into trouble on something that should be simple. but she's moving along and getting clos...

1985 GMC k2500 Restoration #8 removing doors and fuel in tanks.
Переглядів 813 роки тому
on this episode I show that the truck bed is finally out of the garage and for the most part complete except for the wrong color of paint being on it. I discussed that just a little bit and then I get on to wanting to remove the fenders and the front clip but then decide to remove the doors before I pull the truck into the garage. once the doors are removed I decide to empty out the fuel tank a...

Nice G-Shock!
Thanks for the video
Thanks
This is great!! I have the same tub. The frog ease system is a waste of money.
Yeah The simple solutions are always the most expensive when it's already packaged up for you. A lot easier to use the base ingredients and keep an eye on it. Much cheaper and my hot tub is in much better shape because of it
Guy just talks whole video lol
It was more of a diary than a how to.
That is the laugh of an agent of chaos.
The life is the reason why I posted it. Just that alone is hilarious to me.
Does anyone know what the connector part number is? I have been researching online and on Dodge parts catalogs but I cannot find the connector replacement, help anyone!
I tried finding that myself and it's nearly impossible. Find a junkyard or a scrapped Jeep Chrysler with the V6 and steal that connector. Everything I found was wrong as far as part numbers. Actually on mine I think I got rid of the connector and found solderless connectors just to connect the pins directly
Going to check my van now. Good advice
awesome buddy tx,,very much appreciated
ETC sensor $38 and no more bolt
Just I change the ETC SENSOR AND THE BOLT GONE
I pinched my belly too with a manual ribbeter, that hurts for days. The worst part is that I do have a pneumatic one at hand🤦♂
I have a 2004 And the same code p2308 Van Misfireing bad. Replaced the spark plugs, wires, coil pack ,and the coil pack connector. That didn't fix it. So I saw your video and thought I had it figured out, however My 2004 only has one connector in the spot you found your problem with only 3 wires none of which match wires to my coil pack? Any ideas??
I actually need to go back and watch this video again cuz I don't remember at what point I stopped working on the van. What ended up fixing my van for good was I found that a small transistor burned out on the ECM. It was a tiny little sucker but I desoldered it and soldered a new one on and then everything was perfect after that.
If you are going to let "guests" use your hottub you sadly have to explain hygiene to most people.
We don't have many guests using it but the few understand when we ask them to shower first. Even I don't follow my own rules once in a while but I'm the one who maintains the hot tub.
Are the wire orientation the same for the connector in a 06 caravan?
Yes
You think a 6gal pancake air compresssier will work for this?
They don't use very much air so that would work just fine
Any updates? Limp mode fixed?
Yeah it's all fixed a long time ago. I don't remember much about it so can't really help any more than that
Hey sir, what is the name of the air gun please, you don’t have the link attached yet buddy
I'm not home right now but I don't think it has a brand name on it. It's just a cheap one I bought off Amazon
Thank you so much Sr my van had the exact same thing and you save me time and $ 🙏🏼 God bless you
Glad it helped
thanks for the info...i've got a 2009 Town & Country 4.0 with a crank no start...been trying to figure out what's wrong...no codes...new crank/cam sensors, new plugs (they were pretty bad), checked TIPM relays and fuses (all good)...was about to rent a fuel pressure gauge to check pump pressure even though i could smell fuel on the old plugs...figured it was getting fuel, but no spark hence the new plugs...will buy a new manifold gasket to see if that works (got the same lightning bolt on dash)...i'll let you know if it works...good lucky with your channel
Did it work? Or what ended being the problem?
Excellent video! You described my 2013 Grand Caravan symptoms. Mine overheated so badly that the engine started making popping and cracking sounds. I hope I haven't cracked a head or block.
Did you leave the link somewhere?
I have dodge problem too mine was fuel pump on 2005 caravan 3.3 too awhile to figure it out but i have a pick and pull so not out much on that was not it
Sad to see you out the money you got into the throttle body you dont have a pick and pull junkyard around by you hey
i have same problem same exact pin can u reply to my msg what it is exactly u done i am new to this all n love learning i have changed several things on our vehicles u said you jumped it with what type of wire n did u say u spliced into that wire . how exactly did u fix it my 2008 dodge caravan is running sooo shitty n throwing off the p2308 code
Sorry for the delay, yt doesn't notify me of comments. I don't remember what all I did, it's been a few years and my memory sucks. What ultimately solved the problems with my van was I had to replace a blown transistor on the ecm. About a 5 dollar part, 30 minutes total and it ran perfectly.
Needs hydraulic oil
Upper intake manifold gasket or fuel injection manifold gasket?
Love the video. Thanks for helping me fix my van. I started by swapping the fuel injectors and was going down the rabbit hole but luckily i found your video. 5 stars on the video.
Glad it helped
Thanks! Same problems here! Appreciate it!!
Bro wtf the tuck are you randomly running your flaps about Jesus worst video ever you are the worst mechanic ever. Your knowledge is shitty keep it to yourself
Annoying that i have one here that has spark and new plugs i just did that now and used a spark tester and it looked great it is on cylinder 6 btw. 4 is also a missing a bit too not as bad as 6 tho from my scanner the injector ks is indeed working there too so theres that im a bit perplexed the engine sounds fine cranking it to me does sound smooth
This video saved my ass
My van is trying to start and it just sits there trying to crank but won’t any ideas and the lighting bolt also came on
Best video I’ve seen on UA-cam states the problems and symptoms with different things to fix the problem and even what worked for you
Damn.. dudes too much talk. Get straight to to issue.. simple..keep it simple!!
Thanks so much
Change the brake switch that will fix your problem with gear shifting
Good job
2012 dodge grand caravan, lightning bolt and check engine on, the code was P2181. Could barely start properly and the issue showed up the first time it got a bit colder. The mechanic changed the thermostat, and itbwas ok for about a week. Now I have the same issue same lighting bolt and check engine but no code. The car starts ok in the mornin. As soon as I drive a bit and start it again it won't start unless I hit the gas. The temperature meter is stuck low all the time. Please help 😊
Hey that sounds like a coolant temp sensor. You will probably have two of them I would replace them both. It's an important sensor that can cause your car to run like crap, if the temp Gauge seems to be not working properly I would highly suspect that's your issue.
@wyrdo1501 Thanks for the advice, man. Unfortunately, in the end, I had to get a new main computer module. Tried different things, among which is changing the coolant sensors, but it didn't work. The main computer was somehow damaged by the previous owner, probably a crash, and the main module was ducktaped literally. 1200 $ canadian just for the part. I don't have the issue now, lol.
@@mehmedasotic584 oh crap, im dealing with these same issues on my moms van at the moment trying to get it figured out for her, i have suspected the computer is messing up but praying thats not it. hard starts, the lightening bolt, throttle issues and noticed the temp gauge seems to work but then dances around with a mind of its own. been having weird issues like this for the last 6 months on and off and now its just took a real crap a few days ago. figures the damn part is that expensive too :( most things i have changed on this damn thing have been double what i would have expected. cant complain too much its got 320.000 miles on it and for the most part has been amazingly reliable and trouble free. still has the original alternator and water pump and fuel pump, its always some oddball issue with this thing.
@wyrdo1501 I changed the sensors two times, changed, and reprogrammed the electronic body throttle. Nothing worked, unfortunately. The thing is that buying a used part in this case is almost not an option, so I had to get the original part, waited for two weeks for the part to arrive form US ( I'm in Canada ) , my temperature gauge was glued to the bottom all the time and with a new module it worked instantly. Starting it in the morning was not an issue, but every time after that, when I tried to start, it barely could start only with me hiiting the gas pedal like crazy. Good luck with yours. I hope it's not the main computer
You tube fix it Felix grand caravan cel lightning bolt. Turn key to acc mode, wait for cel to stop flashing, push throttle to the floor, release slowly, turn key to off and then start... might have to give it gas if it tries but does not start Good luck
I wish I could figure out what’s going on with my 2010. Mine started doing this right after I replace the transmission. I’m getting that red flashing light and also check engine lights for crankshaft position sensor. I’ve changed the sensors and tried everything I can think of but just cannot figure it out. And it’s odd because the van ran perfectly fine before I switched the transmission with a used one because mine just stopped going into reverse and then wouldn’t shift through the gears. It was slipping really bad.
Hate to tell you this but your transmission was probably fine. I'm dealing with the same issues on my moms van for the last few months and her was acting the same way not wanting to shift right and acting like the transmission was messing up. In the process of cleaning and connecting/disconnecting wires whatever the problem was got better for a while and the van was running normally and shifting fine again. Now in the last 2 days it's having problems again and doing the same crap. I really think these cars have some issues with the wiring somewhere and messing with things can get it back working and people think that whatever they replaced fixes the problem. What got our van going the first time around was I pulled the throttle body off and cleaned it and replaced the egr and tube, i really think I just happened to wiggle the right wire in the process and that's what got things working again. Wish I could figure out exactly what it was but I feel bad that you replaced the transmission, it most likely was fine. I swear I hate everything being electronic and computer controlled now days, it makes issues like this so hard to track down and so aggravating, not enough money in the world to pay me to be a mechanic these days and I enjoy working on cars, anything after about 2004 I just don't want to deal with the headache or the constant fight to get to parts to replace them.
Will add to my other comment. The transmission not wanting to shift into gear and then feeling like it was slipping really bad and jerking going down the road was exactly what my moms was doing and I thought the same thing thay the trans was the problem. I can't call it computer controlled junk because the van has been a good vehicle for over 250.000 miles but once this stuff starts its been nothing but a headache trying to track the actual problem down.
Gracias si era mi problema ...ya lo solucione

Nice toy and awesome shirt.
Good
I’ve got this tool arriving today. Bought it after becoming more pissed than I’ve ever been towards a tool trying to use the 1/4” HF rivet gun. Excited to see how it does with the 1/4” SS rivets I’ve got
thank you!
I have same problem with a grand Cherokee hemi, but the coil #3 was burned and after that I replaced it and the new coil was burned too, I hope the problem does not come from the PCM
I know it's been almost a year now, but whatever became of your issue my friend?
@geomj5577 i replaced the pcm and it was working for like a month but the same coils was burned hahah then im still with the issue trying to fix about the ground or something like that
@@antoniocarrerasany update? I’m having the same issue
Pull the ECM out and remove the cover. Look in for small transistors. You will probably find one that is bubbled or burned out. If you find that it's a relatively easy fix and if you don't know how to solder surface mount pieces, you can probably take it to a local computer store and they can solder a new one on. I had difficulty finding the transistor but I might have one or two extras left over from when I had to do the repair on my caravan
And it probably has a weird silicone stuff on top of the control board. You might have to gently peel that stuff away to access the burn transistors then refill the hole with RTV silicone once the repair is complete

U forgot to put oil in it mr simple and easy lol. Or did you and I just missed why you were shooting twice
