    😔 All the incel guys should pay attention, even back 40 years ago people said the same things. We often think our world is horrible and so many problems, but it’s often not as bad as we think.

    Are you kidding ,the wily Cuban made sure the kids would always have their famous names to hang on to their mother's legacy ,and that proved a canny move ,since they didn't have many achievements of their own and even now make a living selling her memorabilia . Is Gene being sarcastic when he says he sees " mutual love and respect" between mother and daughter ? Because all I see is the daughter being patronizing and mocking her mother at every chance she gets ,like a cheap stand up comic

    Lucie is so naturally funny, not in the way her legend of a mother was. Lucie has more of desis clever quick wit humor while obviously Ms. Ball was a genius at physical comedy, she didn’t even need to speak to make you cry with laughter. A beautiful mother daughter team, and you can feel the love and connection between them.

    Yes I love lucie too. It’s like Allen ludden said when Lucy ball appeared on an episode of the game show password with her two children he called the kids desi Jr ( age 10 at the time) and lucie jr.( age 12 at the time or like she stated she was almost 13).

    the clever father Desi Arnaz named his children after them ,so that they would always reap the benefits from Lucille Ball's fame and fortune. The daughter takes after her father in hassling her mother ,she's patronising and critical after just one moderately successful show ,Lucy is clearly uncomfortable

      Yes, I find Lucie Arnaz critical of her mother - she felt so sorry for her father, and also complimented his wife Edith. Always felt that she was critical of her mother either subtlely or overtly.

      When Lucille Ball was growing up there was a lot of loss early on - her father died when she was aged 3, also mgm died early when she was a child, also mgf had grave problems and mother was away ëarning money for up to a year or more at a time. She left home at age 15 to try to make it in NYC - but had no money and no contacts whatsoever. Her daughter's had the opposite - her parents were internationally known - she had met many celebrities throughout her life - lots of contacts and her father left her 10M when he died and mother left her 10M when she died. Certainly never knew a day of poverty in her life. And even though her parents divorced, they both worked out an amiable relationship - one that supported their children in every way.

    I suppose kids of celebrities do turn out to be demanding ,abnoxious and arrogant . Here she doesn't seem to realise its her mother who is the celebrity, who has been dragged to this interview to publicize her song ,and not to make snide remarks at the well beloved actress

    • @DeanLeonard1

  • @deepachand9689

    poor Lucy looks embarrassed, resigned and hepless at the end of the interview at the way her belligerent daughter kept trying to bring up controversial topics ( even her own short lived marriage) when they were there to publicise her show " they're playing our song" the host started off gamely but gave up when he saw the foolish girl was more interested in showing her mother in a poor light , than speaking about her show.....just like her father

  • @deepachand9689
    @deepachand9689 2 роки тому

    instead of talking about her show "they're playing our song" she's more interested in getting her mother into awkward situations "we tried to stop them from hitting....." ,when a plug from Lucy about the show would have done wonders for her. in the end the host wound up the conversation abruptly after gamely trying to get them to chat amiably

    When Lucy described what she wants for her daughter's future husband is exactly what she wanted from Desi but didn't receive. It's amazing to hear it, it brings one to think that he really was in her heart all the time.

    @(4:07)They have the same exact laugh! Lucie is so funny, quick witted and has great comedic timing too! @4:52 Mom was asked: “What do you hope for your daughter, for her future?” You could swap that question out for…” In what ways did Desi make you mad or disappoint you as a husband and what should he have changed in order to make you happy ?”….IMO, She didn’t really answer the Question. She internalized it & made it about her.

    Great interview ! Loved the light and fun interaction between Lucy and Lucie ... it was very endearing as well to see how Lucy would look at Lucie with an adoring smile and laugh when Lucie was talking and saying something funny . Loved the end too ... when they both said at the same time “ it was a pleasure” to Gene ... lol ... then when Lucy asked Lucie “ did you just say the same thing... ?... my God ...” Lucy doing the fun slap on the sofa arm with her hand after Lucie confirmed they said the same thing was simply priceless. Thanks for posting the clip ... I love them both ❤️

    My understanding is that Lucie had a complex relationship with her mother, but love and respect that has likely grown stronger as Lucie herself has gotten older. Lucie appears to be a very solid and grounded person who has established the life for herself Lucy wished for her. I love Lucie! While Lucy and Lucie have different personalities with Lucie appearing more relaxed, they both probably share a similar internal stuffing making them two of the best of Hollywood. It is always interesting to hear them speak. Together or separately.

    Everyone knows Lucy was one tough broad when she needed to be. A savvy business woman who learned from the best, her husband Desi. What was nice to see here was the mutual respect and love mother and daughter shared at this phase of their lives. It is also wonderful to see that Lucy Arnaz cares so much to this day in keeping her parents memory alive and well with that very same respect.

Lots of mutual love and admiration between those two ladies. VERY close relationship they both had in this clip, so it's nice to know they had to have had a great mother/daughter relationship, and it's nice to see HOW much love LB had for her daughter :)
