Sup guys if you want the A320 ive got some steps for you that I wrote😁 • Ensure the batteries are on, and the aircraft is powered up (APU running or external power connected). • Set the parking brake. • Verify the aircraft is in “Neutral” on the thrust levers. • Ensure the seat belts and no smoking signs are ON. 2. APU Start (If not already running) • Start the APU if it’s not already running. • On the overhead panel, set the APU switch to “ON”. • Wait for the APU to reach stable operation (APU GEN ON light extinguished, APU BLEED ON light may illuminate). 3. Engine Start Switch (Selector) • Set the Engine Mode Selector to IGN/START (this is the ignition system used for engine start). 4. Engine Start - Right Engine (Engine #2) • On the overhead panel, locate the Engine Start Selector switch and push it to “2” for the right engine (this can also be done in sequence for both engines). • The Engine Start Valve should open, allowing air to flow from the APU to the engine. • Monitor the N2 (RPM) and oil pressure. • As the engine starts, the N2 speed should rise. Once it reaches approximately 20-25% N2, the Fuel Control Lever should be advanced to the IDLE position. • Continue monitoring the N2 speed, and once the engine stabilizes, ensure that the engine parameters (such as N1, EGT, and oil pressure) are normal. 5. Engine Start - Left Engine (Engine #1) • Once the right engine is stable, repeat the same steps for the left engine (Engine #1). • Switch the Engine Start Selector to 1, and initiate the start process. 6. Post-Engine Start • Once both engines are stable, perform the following checks: • APU: If both engines are running, the APU bleed air should be turned off (if not needed for air conditioning or pressurization). • Engine Parameters: Verify that all engine parameters are in normal limits (N1, N2, EGT, oil pressure, and fuel flow). • Electrical power: Confirm that the aircraft’s electrical power system is functioning correctly (with APU or engines providing power). • Anti-ice: Turn on any necessary anti-icing systems (e.g., wing or engine anti-ice). 7. Shutdown APU (Optional) • If the APU is no longer required, it can be shut down by switching the APU Master Switch to OFF. Additional Notes: • Always follow specific airline SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for engine start, as procedures might vary based on equipment or conditions (e.g., cold weather, hot starts). • During engine start, the flight crew should also monitor the engine start parameters on the Engine and Warning Display (EWD) to ensure there are no issues like a hot start or tailpipe fire. • Be mindful of the N2 RPM, EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature), and oil pressure during the start sequence. Any abnormal readings should be addressed immediately. If you’re doing this in a simulator or training context, it’s important to consult the A320 FCOM (Flight Crew Operating Manual) or your airline’s standard operating procedures for any variations or additional safety protocols.
