It’s your dad - the man you (presumably) look up to and respect; it’s most definitely a difficult situation to navigate. Here’s what the Word says: “But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.” - Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭33‬ “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” - Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭37‬ These are tough verses, but the message is clear - public denial of Jesus has consequences. You are not condemned, though, my friend. If you struggle with this, you need only run boldly (Hebrews 4:16) to the throne of God’s grace and ASK for boldness to live out your faith in front of your dad… God is with you and HE WILL give you the courage to do so! Be encouraged, fam!‭

@ I totally understand! Take the pressure off yourself though, fam - your job is not to try to change your dad, but to simply live out your faith. Only the Lord can draw people near to himself… Pray for opportunities for boldness, and the Lord will honor your request. And, yes - it’s brother lol

Sorry for late response but this just crossed my mind. I have been praying for the Lord to reach out to him and trying to convert him but I've been doing it for a while and it doesn't seem to be working... Any advice?

I'm convinced that your prayer for the bold living out of your faith will minister more to your dad than any words you speak to him... Continue to live for the Lord in a real way - flaws and weakness and all - and, when the Lord decides, He'll grab a hold of your father's heart. What's your dad's name? I'd like to pray for him now...

I’m reading the Bible from beginning to end. now in Leviticus. There’s some harsh punishments in Leviticus. But I understand it was a preparation to enter the new land that had all forms of idolatry and perversion. So God was preventing the Israelites from sinning like the people of the new land. So it does seem harsh and at times hard to understand. I truly believe that is why Jesus Christ became the ultimate sacrifice for the world and how we should be so grateful. The Lord is good to us all. Great video and thanks for the encouragement.

YES YES YES YES!! I, too, am reading the Bible from cover to cover; I’m in 2 Chronicles right now! Those Levitical punishments seem very strict, but as you said - it was the Lord’s way of setting Israel apart from the other nations in the region. Those nations had detestable practices and the people of God were not to have any resemblance of that whatsoever. But, in the midst of the harshness of the law, I kept seeing the provision and love of the Lord. Most of the law had to deal with how people treated one another; it’s as if God was trying to legislate love… Which is why Jesus’ sacrifice is soooooooooooooo crucial for us as Believers! His Word is so good!!!
