Brilliant!
Informative interview.
Great interview Jess and Bruce I enjoyed it, and yes to the audio! My review is up today on Goodreads and Instagram. Looking forward to the sequel!
Fantastic chat!!!! Thanks so much.
In my humble opinion Ruth Clare’s memoir Enemy ought to be compulsory reading in our High Schools. Just to let kids know the cascading ramifications of war on those who serve their country and their families post war.
that's an excellent suggestion. I've started reading it and it is extraordinary. I feel so sorry for her as a child. Thanks for listening.
What great insights! Love this chat. I can’t wait to get to my desk to write.
She could write a book on marketing for authors, I reckon. Enjoy your writing time Beryl.
thank you!
Ooh, looking forward to this one!
Loved this chat, thanks, Jessica!
Thanks for having me on the podcast, Jess!
Thanks so much for coming on the podcast Louisa. This is so illuminating. It can be a wild ride!
Very impressive will have quiet a bit to discuss with you on a catch up. Hope the book is a success for regards Franz
You don't look like a drug trafficker or arms dealer.....WTH were you doing in Thailand and Afghanistan?? Journalism, perhaps? I guess I'd have to read the books to find out. Congrats on TWO books! You are a storyteller and not just a journalist. I'm too lazy and unambitious to join you, but I recognize the impulses and the look in your eyes. Well done.
Thanks Kevin. You seem like a card 😊 I has strong journalistic impulses but lacked self awareness
i went back and listened more carefully to your video. Sounds like your second book is more of a light-hearted travel memoir. A couple years ago I read an elderly frenchman's memoir (can't remember the name off the cuff) who published a three-part collection describing his walking tour from Byzantium to Xian (silk road). I enjoyed it. I think I'll have to make an effort to find your book. Back in the day I read LOTS of travel books. UKers seem to write the best. Thanks and good luck.@@HemburyBooks
That sounds right up my alley. I loved A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush. I hope you do get a chance to read my books! My first book is called Our Home in Myanmar@@kevinrussell1144
