I have heard this a million times but now I am 29 weeks with my baby girl. It hits different. Delilah.

This is up to today still my favourite poem and it still makes me weep every time.

The music and voice are remarkable, The reality of killing and war, hatred and resulting despair and anguish, lost loved ones, orphaned children, the mental anguish is more than ones mind and heart can bear. If only mankind could have used all that energy, money, effort and planning into acts of kindness and love for our human brother and sisters, this world could be in a much better place. Very sad.😢

I remember purchasing this book (one of my favorite poems) when you came to my high school (wow.. almost ten years ago?), and I loved this poem for the mom I could one day be. Now I read it to my daughter, turning one this week.. and I love it even more. Thank you, Sarah.

Listened for the first time at age 14. Here I am 10 years later with a daughter of my own! Such a beautiful poem.

I remember in college, my professor in a major education course used to let us pick a TED talk and present it in class, I chose this. One of my all-time favourite.

I love how over 20 years later, people adopted this logic. Yoda was right.

The first time I listened years ago I loved the beauty of the message. But now it's so much more powerful because I've internalised all the truths she shares.

Such bullshit and why I don't hold Yoda as the paragon of wisdom pop-culture makes him out to be. Fear is innate in all living creatures and to hover the threat of 'BUT BUT, DARKSIDE' when one of the Jedi Order even feels the slightest inkling of this natural trait is completely unrealistic and honestly makes the release of the darkside/being a grey jedi quite tempting. Yoda deserved his moist shack in the swamp.

Zero sympathy for Vader. I don't even like that after all the evil all of a sudden he redeems with one act and gets to be a Force Ghost. Irks me . BUT SHIT - they shit on this kid from minute one. What, you can't miss your own Mom? A young kid who had one parent can't be scared of never seeing her again? Then Windu always treated him like shit. Sometimes I feel they might as well have driven him to the Emperor's house, given him money for lunch and a Red Lightsaber, and wished him will working for the Sith. Christ they. could've thrown even a token morsel of respect his way here and there.

This scene one can correlate to ourselves. How true that fear is an emotion which if it gets overwhelming can lead us down a path to engage in terrible and ultimately destructive results.

Anyway, it was so nice of the Jedi council to lecture young Anakin instead of actually assemble a team and try to rescue his mom...

The funny thing its, all the times Darth Sidius said to Anakin: "They are afraid of you, afraid of what you could become". He wasnt lying at all xD. The jedi order, so wise, rigthteous and yet can be so close minded, so idiots! They in the end give Anakin a chance in the order, but not because they really believe in him, but to honor Qui gon's memory. And showed that when they denied so hard to Anakin the rank of master Jedi. They put the seed to Darth Vader be born, Sidius just made it bloom.

Man the Jedi as they were here, had to end man. Anakin went to the council regularly on how to deal with his emotions and they always just told him “dark side . Dark side”. “How can I be a good Jedi?” …Jedi council : “don’t go to the dark side” TF CRAZY How George Lucas had this all thought out 🤯
