Do it by taking off the door panel and push out.

Best advice I can give from what I've seen is maybe keep a heat gun in the same spot for about 5 minutes to soften it up. Tricky spot the dent is in.

When I upgraded mine to a alternator, I used a 1965 and up water pump. It had the proper holes for the alternator bracket.

Make sure you check between the spark plug hole and the valve seats, common area to crack. I went through 3 sets to find a good pair of heads. Good Luck! subscriber #20

never try to unbolt the top manifold bolts cold....you need heat...this is very common on F.E heads ..sometimes even heat wont work..
