How To Make Onigiri - Top Tips
Onigiris aka rice balls, are a popular and traditional Japanese food made from white rice shaped into triangles, cylinders, or other shapes and often wrapped in nori (seaweed). They are typically filled with a variety of ingredients, ranging from savory to slightly sweet, and are commonly enjoyed as a snack, part of a meal, or even as a quick, portable food option.
They're everywhere, especially combinis like 7-Eleven (check out my video that Japanese style 7-Elevens are coming to the US ua-cam.com/video/tN_dcYWiS_Y/v-deo.html ), cheap, and delicious!
Here are some traditional things to put in onigiri:

Here in Australia, rice is clearly labelled by type but I've come to realise that the brand also makes a big difference. I bought some short grain rice because it was a bargain and it was awful - bland, boring, not enjoyable, Lashed out on a more premium bag, which WAS quite a few $$ more but WOW - that rice was really delicious, and really, per serve, it was still very good value - and less than crappy chips from Maccas!. Lesson learned! Cheers from Oz!!

Immersion aside, for the next steps I'm thinking of doing a combination of: - WaniKani - Genki textbooks (I heard they go into Grammar), + ToKiniAndy's Genki walkthrough - Some practice writing and speaking on the side Maybe RTK or RRTK, but I think/assume WaniKani covers alot of that?

In Japan, we often ate at 7-11 or Lawsons, another convenience store, for lunch or even a quick dinner. The food was superb, the selection of beverages was astounding and the stores were invariably clean and well-organized, well-run and simply fun.

Dont ever try to pre-book your seat after purchasing your ticket because you will never get any help from ZIPAIR customer service or their toll-free number, and you will never get true, it is by far the worst customer service I have ever seen and I have flown with many airlines in my life.

@@thisjalife Hi, I'm planning on doing this because I don't want the extra stuff they offer in their packages, just want to select my seats. What is the problem? you can't select seats after purchasing the tickets?

@rauljr420 you should be able to! I also purchased the tickets then added seats and weight upgrades later once I decided which ones.

I think my favorite way to make Onigiri so far is salting some clear wrap and using it to tightly form a triangle. Then I've been taking some strips out of those seaweed snack packs and they are the perfect size to create that hand-grab spot. I haven't done a lot of flavor variations yet, mostly been some Furikake (bonito and seawood) in the rice, and then Tuna + Mayo and then I also mix terriyaki with the mayo (I keep adding terriyaki mayo to EVERYTHING lately) and it's just so good.
