Aero. Lefties don’t do righty bolt guns for hunting.
Vanguard black dragon 5.7x28 ammo. Thank me later. They penetrate body armor and all. Made for criminals and corrupt cops and terrorists lol
Bought one, thanks !!
Heck yeah! You'll enjoy it. Thanks for being here.
On a gun made mor qcb such as the Ruger Pc Charger would you recommend?
No you need to get a hard cast 9mm vs 57😂
A hardcast 9mm would have much more weight. The CD 9mm weighs 50gr to this 5.7's 40gr so this is a lot more comparable than even the 115gr 9mm rounds against 5.7. Although I do believe hardcast 9mm loads make a great choice for hikers and campers that pack a 9mm into the wilderness. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hornady 5.7 critical defense rounds are the best of both worlds: penetration and havoc upon impact. If you’re going to do a comparison, use comparable ammo, brother.
The Critical Defense is decent. The SS198LF is better and performs like the civil defense 9mm. The SS197SR (blue tip) and Critical Defense are both in the same league as far as performance. Thanks for watching and commenting.
The APX line is just amazingly reliable, stupidly reliable, and beyond amazing, not to mention the mentally cheap price. I wish they made them in .40 and 10mm like Glocks. Because then I would never own another Glock. My APX A0 is so much better than my G23 Gen 5 and my Sig XMacro Tacops and Rose Comp. The Glock is okay but the APX is not only higher quality/more reliable, but also feels better in my hand and has a better trigger. The Glock is a tiny bit more accurate but that’s the only thing it does better. I’m surprised, considering how bad the ergos on a Glock is to me, and the trigger is not bad or good, just meh.
The APX across the board is underrated. The APX Carry has been unstoppable. From dirt, to filling g it with gravel, it just keeps working.
5.7= more energy transfer
Just bought a used PT 22. Have you done any improvement to Taurus, it sure feeds well.
@danieljohnson9932 as long as you feed it good ammo, I've had good luck with mine. Some of the bulk cheap stuff had a few issues but cci mini mags have been nearly flawless.
Looks like a real nice pistol. I love my Ruger 57! I also have the Ruger 57 Carbine. I really like that the mags are interchangeable! Nice video! New Sub!
@matthewfortin4335 the ruger combo is a sweet setup. Perfect gear for "traveling" and using as a "get home" bag equipment.
9x19mm for police, they stop people with 2-3 shots, potentially fatal, they fragment when they hit something solid, cheaper and low speed, less capacity / 5.7x28mm for military and special forces, they stop people with 2-4 very deadly shots due to their synthetic force in 1 small point, they do not fragment and can pass through vests as if they were made of cardboard, they are expensive, high capacity, high speed, pressure
At short barrel .44 special velocities, expansion will never be great. I always just went with a 240 SWC. You can’t hotrod the Bulldog much. The “Skeeter load” would be pushing it.
I should have talked to you before trying g all the "premium" rounds because I ended up back to the 240gr SWC for everything from woods carry to conceal carry. I'm going to go look up the Skeeter load now. Hope it uses Unique or Universal powder. That's all I've got left. Lol
@@573reviews 👍
@@573reviews Years ago, I loaded a .433” Luballoy gas check SWC the Winchester no longer sells, over 7.2 gr. Unique. The Skeeter load is 7.5 gr. Unique under the #429421 Keith type SWC. I wouldn’t go any warmer in a Bulldog. I’ve had two, and I want another.
My antique magazines!
A friend of mine gave me all the magazines his great grandpa and grandma had left behind. Some were too cool to go in the bullet stop boxes. I'm going to ask doctors offices and other places to start saving their mags for me. Makes a heckuva bullet stop.
That was a hollow point VS FMJ. Makes a difference.
The SS197SR (blue tip) 5.7x28 uses a 40gr Hornady Vmax projectile. It's a rapidly expanding ballostic tip hollow point. Neither round used here were fmj's. Thanks for being here and commenting.
I actually like the 44 special wad cutter
I like the wadcutter or semi wadcutter better than the premium bullets manufacturers are using. At least I know exactly how they perform every time. 👍
Love mine!
You know i was a huge fan of the G3c but I like the G3 even more. I talked a lot of crap about Taurus in the past but they hit it out of the park with this series. I hope they keep up the progress.
@573reviews I love the GX4 also.
I know Taurus gets a bad rep but a budget pistol is better than barehands!
I agree. They've won me over with the G3 series. The compact was awesome and now the G3 ( in my opinion ) is even better. If it proves to be durable in the long run I'd rank it really high among its more costly peers.
My friend has one. Feels good and it's shoots good. Just a good for the money gun.
I've been a fan of G3c for awhile but the G3 is probably my new favorite budget pistol if not just my new favorite pistol. I like the trigger, I like the grip texture and it's reliable. I would like to do a high round count on one just to see if it's as durable as it is reliable but ammo is too high for me to try that. 😆
@@573reviews I like it. It was accurate and has a good trigger.
I think appendix carrying a striker fired pistol is no different than carrying a 1911 with the safety off. Both are cocked and locked
I feel safer carrying a do8ble action appendix for sure. I even feel better with my Taurus G3 because it has a safety but is striker fired. Could be just because I'm older and have always carried 3 o'clock or just behind the hip but appendix carry is just mentslly more uncomfortable.
✨The Rock 5.7…💯🔥💯✨
The PSA Rock is probably the best bang for the buck in 5.7 pistols. They seem reliable, accurate and are very pleasant to shoot.
Your wifes boyfriend shoots 10mm
I live in a restricted state(ILL) so I was wondering if Tisas makes 10 round mag's or better yet 15 round mag's?
I'm not sure if they have 10rd mags but they have mag blocks that limit them to 10rds. The PSA Rock has 10rd mags available as does the ruger 57. Good luck and sorry to hear about the restrictions.
Now at 100 yards.
I'm not even going to pretend I could hit a cantaloupe at 100yds. Heck, I'm not sure i could see one at 100yds. I do believe the 5.7 would be easier to possibly make hits with due to the bullet design.
@@573reviews Yeah, they have excellent accuracy at distance. Trynit, it’s fun.
I showed my p32 to a friend. He said he'd never carry less than 9mm. Of course, he wasn't carrying anything. 😂 Also, I agree with others. 32acp HP doesn't expand well (at all) and can cause rimlock. Consider xtreme defender or FMJ. But it's up to you. 🤷♂️
I almost always just use fmj in 32. Like you said, if it does expand it's not enough to make a difference and ill take reliability over that. Thanks for watching.
When the glock 9mm crowd discover they are turning into the two world wars crowd.
I'm not sure any crowd has all the answers but I am sure the 9mm won't be knocked off the king of the hill position by the 5.7. Heck, I'm still waiting for the 40sw to make a comeback. Lol
I would not bet on adequate penetration form anything. Civil defense. They typically fragment before 6-10 inches.
NAA
I'm a big fan of the NAA Mini revolvers. Everyone always wants to shoot them at the range plus nothing disappears in a pocket like them.
@ especially when you live in Florida!
@mypetvelociraptor i know thats right. A NAA definitely easier to conceal in a speedo. Lol
5.7 is considered a rifle cartridge fashioned for pistol use. It’s capabilities consists of greater speeds and lvl3 soft armor piercing capabilities. The FN 57 was used by the secret service and some still prefer the cartridge over the 9mm. The 9mm fits that sweet spot of enough speed that packs a lethal punch. It’s good for most encounters but the 5.7 is better for accuracy and followup shots against further opponents with basic soft armor on or opponent’s using softer materials as cover like drywall. Both cartridges are good at different things. I owned the first gen FN 57 which cost $1400 back in ‘15 but long since sold it and recently got the Rock 5.7 and prefer it over it’s much more expensive counterpart.
The PSA Rock would be my overall choice with price, reliability and all other fa tors taken into consideration. I still dig the old school FN 5.7. The CD 9mm is as close to 5.7 as 9mm gets. Over 2,000fps from a glock 19 and able to defeat level 3A at close range. Both are great rounds. 👍
Why didn’t you at least use similar ammo like one is a hollow tip hahahah
They're both hollow points. The 5.7 is a ballostic tip hollow point that weighs 40gr. The CD 9mm is a hollow point t that weighs 50gr. About as close as I could get by style, weight and velocity. Thanks for watching.
Is the barrel fluted ?
Yes
A comparison without numbers doesn’t teach me anything! You don’t even have the distance! Why not compare the 5.7 with the 5.56 at 100 yards? That might be interesting.
The 5.7 was designed to mimic 9mm damage with the added ability to defeat soft armor. A 5.7 against 556 would be like me fighting Jon Jones in the UFC. Him being 556 and me being 5.7. This wasn't a comparison of which caliber is better just that 9mm ammo can be purchased that is super light and ultra fast. The CD 9mm can also defeat level 3A soft armor. This video was just to let people know about ammo options. Thanks for watching and sorry the video wasn't useful to you.
How are you getting 2000 fps out of that short barrel?
Out of a 4" barrel it's more like 2040-2050. Out of the GX4 I'm getting high 19's. It's a really light and fast projectile loaded to +P pressures.
@573reviews ok, thanks.
Scout
The scout rifle got it done. Did you and Annabelle see any deer?
Y’all forgetting the message he just basically saying a 9m do the same thing a FN 57 do but cheaper
@@edwinhooks7046 thanks. Seems a lot of folks thought this was a head to head comparison. I was just introducing an ammo that some may not have known about.
Saved me a potential headache with ammo selection. Thanks.
I'm glad to hear it. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and thank you for being here.
Alright I like the performance. I’m still suspect about reliability , has anyone shot a good number of these ?
They feed excellent and never had an issue with quality. My only issue is just how expensive they are. $2 per round makes it nearly impossible to practice with them. I've shot enough of them that I've gotten used to Bologna sandwiches and Ramon noodles for months at a time.
@@573reviews okay I’m definitely interested now.
It wasn't their 226. The 226 is Sig's first double stack 9mm. The history is Swisserland replaced their p49 with the p75. The p49 is the p210. The p75 is the 220. The 220 was originally chambered for 9mm. The slide was stamped steel. The compact version of the 220 is the 225 before the 226 was created. The 225 is what inspired the 228. After that, the 239. The 239 was considered a sub compact. It also has the same capacity as the 225. The 225. The 239 is basically a smaller 225. The 230 series of guns were the smaller guns. The 230 is a blowback 380. The 232 is an upgraded 230. The 238 is based around the Colt Mustang series. The 239 is the only full caliber gun. The 239 inspired the 224. The 229 is an upgraded 228 with a machined steel slide. The 245 is a 220 compact 45. I can go on, but the 239 isn't inspired by the 226 or 228. It replaced the 225. The 225 like all the sig line-ups, at the time, was a stamped steel slide. The 229 was machined steel. the 226 and 220 became a machined steel slide.
Amazing information. Thanks for sharing.
180 bucks after rebate at the end of 2024!
Looks like I'll be getting another. That's practically giving a pistol like this away.
What is a stiff trigger? Lol
One that doesn't have a defined wall and is more difficult all the way through the pull than comparable mechanisms. The PSA Rock doesn't have the best trigger but is actually much more "shootsble" than the Tisas. Or at least this one. This pistol is mechanically accurate but the trigger makes it more difficult to get that potential on target. Good news is that it's gotten much smoother with use.
They discontinued the sig sauer p224 before the 239. The 224 is basically a double stack 239. I don't care for the argument of single stack vs. double stack. It has more to do with carrying vs. not carrying. A double stack usually has a wider slide. I don't carry the 239, but i understand it's easier to carry a more narrow gun. I personally carry a Zastava M70AA 9mm Tokarev. It's a full sized gun based around the M57. Why i don't conceal carry a M57 is because 9mm is easier to get, and the M70AA has a slide mounted safety vs. a half cock notch in the hammer aka Soviet style.
I agree. Folks should carry whatever is more comfortable for them. Not doing g so leads to leaving it at home more and more often. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. 👍
Stevo
Lol. A lot of folks think so.
Those chickens are living on the edge or they are just ballsy.😂 Rock makes a gun pistol just not rfined as much. Saving you money instead. Excellent truck guns. I talked to the owner before and he said they were looking into buying another facility to help with that. Don't know if he did or not.
Lol. Those chickens hear a shot and come running. I've give up on them staying out of the way. I agree about the Rock Island guns. They may not be polished pieces but seem to be of decent quality.
I own currently own 3 S&W revolvers and in 2019 I inherited a Colt Border Patrol 357 mag and I can tell you that cylinder release is as smooth as butter, which is 100 % better than any Smith and Wesson . And trigger is 100 % is better also , as smooth as butter. Your a weird dude.
"You're" not "your". Also, most shooters will agree that the smith cylinder release is faster. That's probably why colt doesn't have many professional shooters in competition.
@@573reviews Most of us are not professional shooters and those S&W revolvers in competition shooting are highly modified.
@Ray-vq2jc and yet nobody is using colts with their slower cylinder release. It's not as user friendly or fast as other styles. Not saying colts aren't nice revolvers just staying a fact about the design. The Rock Island is a decent revolver especially for the price but it isn't a python (which I've had several) or diamondback, etc. This revolver will work nicely for anyone not wanting or not able to drop a large amount of money for a reliable revolver for self defense.
I said "hammer" when I meant to say "trigger" while speaking of the operation. Sorry if that caused any confusion.
If you can could you compare it to the ria m1911 a2
Sure. I'll even give my opinion here. The Rock Island is all metal and heavier than the Tisas. The Tisas has a polymer frame like a 2011 while having a slide thats basically a 1911 so any aftermarket 1911 accessories will work for it. The Rock Island is a great pistol but I'd choose the Tisas from my limited experience with both. One more plus for the Tisas is any 2011 magazine will work with it. I've found several reasonably priced and the selection for them is vast. Both are great shooters but the Tisas gets my vote for long term ownership.
I just ordered mine yesterday I hope it treats me well
You did well. It's a great shooter. Avoid SS195LF ammo and it'll be great. Not too many firearms like it anyway. It's light and underpowered so doesn't seem to work well. The SS198LF worked great as did any of the 40gr gr Vmax or fmj rounds. Very accurate firearm. Congratulations!
nice
You obviously get 2 very different results. What’s your point.
It wasn't really a comparison but to let folks know they make a 9mm round that is light, fast and will defeat soft armor. Both rounds are fantastic. The CD 9mm is very expensive though.
Scout for sure 🎯
Thats what I ended up taking. Took a decent sized doe with it off of public ground on Mark Twain National forest.
@@573reviews she didn’t want to get out of bed and I didn’t make her.
@travisdumey3864 i don't blame her. There's something to be said for a warm bed versus being cold and miserable. Lol
I’d never use a semi auto as a survival rifle.
A lot of people share your opinion. Reliability would have to be a top priority. While this one has been very reliable others have commented lots of issues with theirs.
