I'm a part of a couple of those BGA plays.
Yes you are! My game playing has been seriously low as I adjust to a new school and teaching overtime plus a night class, but we need to get another game going on BGA.
I see pioneer days on the shelf there…good to see you back on the channel and settled in up there in Washington 🎉
Great to hear from you Shawn! I hope you and your family are well. We are slowly settling in, but we haven't played Pioneer Days again yet, and I haven't had time to seek out a new game group. I miss our game times. Do you think you will go to Dice Tower West in the spring? I think I will probably go from Thursday night until Sunday, but haven't bought my ticket yet.
@@BillyIndiana Careful with Pioneer Days! Last time I played with my wife and got wiped out in the last turn of the game..Brutal, but still fun...I certainly am planning/hoping to go to DTW. I know they are switching hotels, so that might change things and if my son comes.
When I finalize my plans, I will let you know. Maybe we can meet up again and get some games played together!
Great video Bill. Happy to see you have the new studio completed. Look forward to watching future content.
Thanks 👍 Great to hear from you! Miss you all, and give my best to the game group.
I feel like starting with an empty box and putting in components would be more useful.
Thanks for the feedback.
Looks like lots of stuff I need to try.
After I get moved up there, we'll have to find a way to meet and play a game or two!
At 39:45 I keep referring to the Epic Deed as a Demon. It is an Epic Deed, and while it requires a Chronicle Action to accomplish it, I apologize for the confusion by referring to it incorrectly.
Hey there! We sent you an email regarding a (p)review of our upcoming dungeon crawling roll and write! It might have ended up in your spam folder, so please check it if you're interested! Thanks!
I searched for your email and found it! I'll read it and get back to you soon 👍
@@BillyIndiana Awesome! Thanks!
Hope the move goes smoothly!
Thank you! It has taken a lot of boxes to pack up the games 🤣
Alicia really loved First In Flight. I'm really interested in Come Together.
The theme of Come Together and the unique worker placement system was fun 👍 I hope you get to play it soon!
I hear Java/Cuzco tends to be prone to AP due to the action points mechanic. was that your experience? Going to have to give Alhambra a shot
One of the players did mention he felt like he was experiencing more AP than normal, but the rest of us didn't feel it too bad. I think it would be player dependent but definitely has the potential for AP. The state of the board can change a lot between your turns so, sometimes thinking ahead and planning your turn amounts to nothing when it is your turn again.
Hi Bill, love the content! I was wondering if youd give a game called Spirit Island a shot! Played it recently and had a wild time! Thanks!
Hello! Thanks for watching. I would be happy to play Spirit Island, but I don't own it and don't think anyone in my gaming group does either (we very seldom play cooperative games). Hopefully some day I can give a try!
Its only the best gaming store in Wisconsin. Possibly the US. The fact that they ship internationally puts them above most others.
It was definitely a highlight of the trip. When they let me go behind the scenes, I felt like I was in the final scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark with the massive warehouse of hidden treasures!
Love this list! Thank you for doing this. I really really wanna play Bruges. Off to watch your Garden Geckos vid
Thanks for the invite to participate and thanks for watching 👍
Calimala is really high on my want to play list; it’s on my shelf of shame so at least I have it 😅Lopiano is a great designer. We reallllly enjoy his 3 Ring Circus game!
I'll have to try 3 Ring Circus 🎪 I've heard good things about it, but don't own it.
Thanks for the video. Getting some quality plays in so far. Bravo.
Thanks for watching 👍 It has been a strong several months with lots of good games!
Woo hoo! You went above and beyond on this one!
I couldn't pick just one game per category, so I decided to mention a bunch! I hope you'll be able to participate in this tag too 👍
Calimala is so good!
It really is! I am excited to get my own copy when the Kickstarter project arrives (with new Ian O'Toole art too)!
Nice video and a great idea! Thanks mate
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching 👍
You got a lot of great games played! Well done! Harmonies is soo good!
Yes, it was a great month of many games and some real stand outs! Thanks for watching 👍
go dodgers!
I'll miss getting to go to Dodger stadium when we move up to the PNW! Hopefully we can get to at least one more game before we leave.
I believe they come to town every other year so there is that at least.
That was impressively well played! I will reiterate my previous comment that it might be nice if you would lay your hand open on the table so it is easier for us to follow in the overhead camera.
I got pretty lucky rather than being impressive! I sort of fell into that win. Thanks again for the suggestion. I will try to remember that on future play throughs.
Nice playthrough. One suggestion, for demo purposes, it would be nice if you put your hand down on the table so we can easily see the cards on the overhead camera. Thank you!!
Thanks for watching and thanks for the recommendation 👍
Very interesting deck for multiple games! Love this solo version. Backing for sure
The concept of a foundation deck is really interesting and this solo game is a fun puzzle! Thanks for watching 👍
I was interested in Fromage. First In Flight is one that I need to get back to the table.
I'm hoping to play First in Flight solo this weekend and maybe one more time with a group then make my review for it. Thanks for watching!
Missy backed Formage and i think its due to deliver sometime this year
I didn't back it, but I do hope to play the physical version in the future.
Yeah Fromage looks great. My wife backed it too. I don’t back many kickstarters these days, but that one got her attention and I’m glad to hear Billy liked it! Excited to see it in person!
I hope to play the physical version some day too👍 Thanks for watching!
I didn’t realize you had a UA-cam channel! I saw your submission to Evan & Grayson’s A to Z video 😎 Anyway, I’m excited to sub to your channel and check out your other vids! 🤙🤙
Thank you! I have watched some of your videos too and subscribed awhile ago. Your channel has to be a favorite of Evan's with those undiscovered games!
Great overview !
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Cool bits! I agree, better looking games have a positive impact on me too!
I think the beauty of a game and components makes it more compelling for gamers new to the hobby and people exploring modern games as well. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Man, I’ve been wanting play Dune Imperium - Uprising. I want to see how it compares to the original. People go crazy with customization. Also, I’m a sucker for deluxe games too. Lol
I really like the changes in Dune Imperium: Uprising and am also a sucker for upgrades and fancy games! Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video :-)
You are welcome! I hope I did it justice and that the Kickstarter is a big success!
Looks interesting
I'm happy to pass it on to you to try out👍
Nice preview. It's amazing what they can do with just a few cards.
Yes, I don't tend to play a lot of solo games, but the way Button Shy maximizes their multiuse cards always impresses me. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You rock@@BillyIndiana - keep up the good work.
Thanks for the encouragement! I always enjoy your videos as well.
More games in February! Love that.
Yes, it was nice to get to play more games again! Thanks for watching 👍
fabulous video! thank you! I’m getting the retail version which looks to awesome too!
Hope you enjoy it! Thank you for watching!
You played inheritors without me? Oh no! I played empires end this past weekend. It’s not less stressful with 3.. also played Istanbul, Joraku, too.. fun stuff.
I hope you got a lot of gaming in at Dice Tower West!
To me, playing a board game on BGA is just not the same as playing it live......so when you rank a game based on BGA plays, to me that seems a bit unfair and is not an apples to apples comparison.
I agree to some degree (it isn't always apples to apples). However, for me there are some games where my experience is virtually the same, and I wouldn't rank them any differently. Other times I prefer the BGA implementation (I've raised rankings and even sold physical games because I enjoyed playing on BGA so much more). Granted there have been a few times when I've played the physical version then raised my ranking afterwards, but is seldom more than a +0.5 change. If I had the time and opportunity, I'd always choose to play the physical copy, and when I'm able to, I try to play both versions. To me, if the publisher puts the game out in digital version, I think it is fair to consider it in rankings, but that is just my opinion. Thank you for watching and commenting. Your thoughts made me stop and reflect on my experiences with both physical and digital versions of games I've played.
We very nearly backed this as we enjoyed Destinies too. Kicking ourself a bit now, after seeing yours! Have you got around to playing yet?
We haven't played yet, but hope to with another couple (to go through the campaign together). They are not available for a few weeks though.
Bantam is fantastic
I still haven't had a chance to play my physical copy, but playing online was terrific. Thanks for watching!
Oh no! I cant watch! Mine hasn't shown up yet!
Hopefully your copy will arrive soon!
We have been really enjoying Apiray. Hope you've literally been enjoying walking into Mordor !
I really want to play Apiary again, but "one does not simply walk into Mordor"🤣 Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Good stuff, sir. I love Sunrise Lane (knizia rocks) and Scout. No Thanks is right up there with best party game.
The holidays are usually a great time to play some of the lighter games in our collection, and we played some really good ones this time around! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
I have ancient knowledge, and I have to play it again!
Hopefully we can try Ancient Knowledge together!
A lot of great games played, as usual!
I'm very fortunate to get to play a lot of good games. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Nice 2 fps 🙄
Trying to do better as I learn.
Hey Billy - thanks for the review. It was really helpful and cleared up some of the rules for me.
I'm glad it was helpful for you! Thanks for watching and commenting!
thank you for the unboxing ! there are very few recent videos for this game - I’m wondering if anyone actually liked it…
No problem! Thanks for watching! I have been so busy the last few months, that I have hardly played any games, and Delta is still sitting on my shelf of shame! Hopefully I can find time to play it soon. It is a game I am very excited to try.
Love this game! Wasn't on my radar & got it for Christmas and found it surprisingly good. Great vid!
Glad you enjoyed it! I have only had the chance to play one time so far, but it was a lot of fun, and I look forward to playing again!
Great video! I have contemplated getting the game, but the high price has been my only obstacle. Would you say the game is worth the price?
Thank you for watching and commenting! I still haven't had the chance to play the physical copy yet (been busy with basketball this winter), but the price I paid through Kickstarter was worth it to me based on my online play of the game while it was in development. I am not sure what the going price is now through retail, but I did really love my experience playing the online prototype.
The purple ones are the necromancies and the 4 slightly different coloured ones are the undead. I think!
Thanks for the clarification and thanks for watching and commenting!
Looks beautiful ✌️ Thanks for showing us. Can't wait for my copy in a month or so 😅
No problem 😊 I hope your copy arrives sooner than expected!
