Hi, sorry the video didn’t benefit you. What did I miss? You connect your bit axe to a solo mining pool by configuring it on the menu and that’s it, it then mines automatically. Just be aware that it has to be on a 2.4GHz internet connection rather than 5GHz.

@JBINZALA I guess I don't understand what a solo pool is. I'm fine with a public pool, but what is the actual entry to mine all by yourself?

@ a solo pool is one of two things. A pool someone’s created with code so when you mine if you mine a block you get the full rewards, or you can mine yourself solo within a public pool to get daily rewards for the effort your miner has put in which is around 20-40 Sats per day. If you’re code savvy you can also start from scratch and create your own solo mining pool by developing it and running your own server. But there is no reason to do this as there are open source projects already out there like the Public Pool I mentioned. There you can solo mine and also download the application on a server and mine directly from your own server. The entry to mine all by yourself is 1. Buy a Miner, or be tech savvy to use your own laptop or gpu/cpu to create a mining pool (simple way is buy a miner which is already designed for this and coded), 2. Configure to a Pool and start mining. That’s it.

Manufactured in China I believe. Correct this one runs on battery, and if it is flat you'll buy another one, but your seed phrase is safe, can be imported into any hardware wallet. A hardware signing device isn't supposed to be a life time guarantee, it's a tool for managing and signing wealth transfers. Do you change your phone every few years? Same with Hardware cold wallets, I'd get the latest tech one if it meets my needs etc. What do you think?

Heya, yeah so I didn’t connect it to the correct WiFi in the video - it has to be 2.4 GHz frequency or it won’t work - also the credentials for first time login is username root and password as root - don’t mess around with your router firewalls - if anything you will have to enable 2.4 and 5 freq as different SSIDs so you can connect to 2.4

Game over friend. If you lose your phrases there’s no way back in. You could try brute force it… I would retrace try remember the beginning and end of the words and maybe try figure it out… but more than likely all your funds are lost. Hence having a plan from the beginning is very important. I hope this hasn’t happened to you! Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy!

Hahaha, this won’t mine any whole bitcoins unless you solo mine and get lucky. Daily I believe 30-50 SATS if you’re mining in a pool. 10,950 - 18,250 yearly I would assume if calculating with those figures. If you get lucky and solo mine you’ll get 3.125 + Transactions fees.

No worries. It's more about helping the network, adding to the Hash Rate, and adding to the decentralization factor for me anyway :) One of the best way to stacks sats is, mine via FIAT jobs. Tend to earn more sats through that!

Yes, Tangem said Seedless wasn’t affected and 1.0 only had the seedless firmware.

I’ve never had this, is this an app issue? It’s probably best to contact their support. Just a safety reminder don’t ever share seed phrases or anything if anyone ever does ask from support. Not that they will but just a reminder it’s access to your funds.

Hey, thanks for your comment. My only concern with Ledger as a company is Ledger Recover. The fact there is an option regardless of being Opt In or not of extracting seed phrases goes against the ethos of Self Custody for Individual use. Corporations and the Elderly I can understand but not Individuals. Regarding the Ledger Products and Quality of the Flex (similar to the Stax), I can say they are Premium Cold Wallets. Amazing Application UI (There are some privacy concerns as it tracks pretty much everything you do on the applications (I have a video on this)). If you want to use it as a Daily wallet not to HODL, I think Ledger is fine to use. But it doesn't meet the criteria of The BEST Cold Wallets of 2025 which I've chosen for their specific traits. but was there a log that contained the key and seed in the phone? and if so how long and why was this not brought to light sooner?

They say in the specific scenario of when you mailed support after generating or importing the seed. But I think you're right as it would make sense for it to be held in the log for the "7 days" they mention... I don't know how long, I worry it was since they brought this whole seed feature in. I don't know. Only Tangem can tell us. Great questions, hopefully if they see this video and comment section they can address these questions.

Correct, the issue is resolved. I agree with having a seed phrase but I disagree with generating a seed or importing a seed to a device with WiFi or a mobile/desktop. Seed phrases should only be used with devices which are specially made where you can input or generate on the hardware device itself. Not a device that can get potential viruses. Not really, if you mine as a pool you can make like 40 sats per day.... But I only use it as a Solo Block Miner so if I mine a block, I will get full rewards of block. But no daily pool rewards is the sacrifice.

Absolutely ! Short story from my end, I held all my crypto on an exchange and had a trading hot wallet. My hot wallet was phished by a scammer and I lost well over USD$11000 worth of tokens. Spoke to trust wallet , made a police report. Nothing ! The thing is my tokens aren't trading yet so they are still in the wallet but the scammer knows they are there and he has a sweeper bot installed on the wallet as well. That woke me up and I realised I need to get my asset offline. So I bought a ledger flex and when I was withdrawing it from the crypto exchange, they wouldn't increase my daily limit cause I'm unemployed and don't have the income required for an increased limit . I can't withdraw my own savings and assets cause I don't earn enough ! Plus they locked the polygon tokens on their exchange and I can't withdraw it out. That made me realise that 100% I need a wallet and I need to get all my asset offline. Not only that , I want a back up. When I came across your videos it made me aware of lots of situation. So along with my ledger flex I bought a 3 set tangem wallet. I will leave the ledger in a safe at home . Set one of the tangem cards to the tangem account and have it with me always in case I'm travelling and I have to transact my coins when I'm aware from home. The other 2 cards will be set for my trading account where I would purchase and transact tokens and fiat. I will have a back up of both wallets in the safe and I'll still have access to them when I travel and the seeds in a bank vault. I am still hoping that I could pull the tokens out faster then the scammers can. But I'm not tech savvy . Took me a $11000 lost to take my crypto security seriously !

The hash power overall - no - no blocks have been confirmed. But if you compare it to other Solo pools, it’s a fraction of Hashing Power hence it’s understandable why it’s not been able to mine something yet. But time will tell. CKPool is also an alternative (compare the hash rates you’ll see what I mean)

Only real difference is if you run your own server you can have more privacy and run it directly to that server. Also the fact there is no 2% fee as CK pool takes that. Just remember, the best miner is your fiat job. Unless you’re a multimillionaire then I’d suggest opening your own mining data centre :) spend 1.5-2 mil and it should give a good ROI.
