Using Your Weakness As Your Greatest Strength | Batman Begins
During my last rewatch of this film, I stopped for a bit after the first act because I was pondering on all the things that Ra’s al Ghul said. I started to appreciate the wisdom in those lines; and even though this came from a superhero film, these values can still be applied to our own lives. Confronting fears is a universal human endeavor. Life is full of mysteries, and we all encounter things that we do not understand - and people fear what they do not understand.
Let me explain more in the video.

Bayek Deserves A Sequel, Here's Why | Assassin's Creed Origins
Переглядів 1,1 тис.День тому
Bayek of Siwa is one of the best protagonists in video game history. I believe he belongs to the top tier of the Assassin's Creed lineage like Ezio, Altair, and Edward Kenway. I also believe the founder of the Creed should be in the same conversation of great characters like Arthur Morgan, Geralt of Rivia, Joel, and others. Let me explain why in this video.
One Of The Most Profound Dialogues In Cinema | Kingdom Of Heaven

There is one particular scene that is now my favourite part of the film. There are no battle scenes, nor sword fights, nor any kind of action here - just a deep dialogue between a man and a king. It was the scene where Balian, the protagonist, meets King Baldwin for the first time - and it is one of the most profound scenes I have ever watched. Let me explain why.
This Scene Is Why Spider-Man 2 Is Considered The Greatest Spider-Man Film

This scene is one of the most important in Spider-Man cinema. When I was a kid, I used to skip these scenes because they were not exciting. But now as an adult, I realize how wise and important this monologue is for Spider-Man’s character. Although it was never overtly shown, Spider-Man lost his powers because he was losing confidence in himself because of the many terrible events that have bee...
The Existentialist Philosophy Of Blade Runner 2049
Переглядів 132Місяць тому
Existentialism is a prominent theme all throughout the film. Now, think about this. The world of Blade Runner is dark, dystopian, superficial, grimy, and violent. Basically, it is not exciting to live in - unless, I think, you have decided to live in the off-world colonies - and in this bleak world, the characters of Blade Runner 2049, particularly the Replicants, have shown their desires to fi...

Loki’s story of finding one’s purpose is a tale as old as time, but the difference in this series is that Loki is a godlike being, not a normal person. The things he experienced provided a different perspective, and therefore turned into a richer, more interesting story. Allow me to explain more in this video.
What Makes Cyberpunk So Mesmerizingly Interesting?

The Cyberpunk aesthetic is one of the most mesmerizing things I have ever seen. There is something oddly calming and, at the same time, jaw-dropping, about the dense, bright, concrete worlds of this genre. Whenever I watch or play something Cyberpunk-esque, I always feel astounded by the beauty of these kinds of surroundings. I wonder why that is?

It’s amazing how a single scene could contain so much relevant information that is reflected throughout the movie. It can't be Ubisoft or current Ubisoft because all the OGs that made great games left Ubisoft long ago. This is why we have lesser quality games from Ubisoft. I'm not saying the devs suck, not at all but they are working on top of someone else's previous work with the added burden of shit-tier higher ups who direct them in such bad ways I can't even imagine. This is why I'm very scared for the Prince of Persia remake. It was a good choice to cancel it in 2020 and start over but then again, who will ruin it this time for real? On a side note: Bayek really is the Assassin god. He's also the scariest one next to Shay (not assassin but still), Bayek literally murders people and smiles while doing it. I also like Shay because he for some reason feels like the strongest one, big potential from the start of his story and his line "I make my own luck".

In the Hidden Ones DLC, many recruits recruited by Bayek talk about the situation in Judea, regarding the order of the ancients that is growing outside the borders of Rome. Judea is a perfect region for a sequel with Bayek, only in that region is Jerusalem, Nazareth and at least 4 cities that are theorized to have been just as prosperous as Jerusalem. It would be amazing to see a sequel to AC Origins more focused on stealth like AC Mirage where we can explore the dense cities of the first game and travel from one to another like in RPGs. (the Perfect AC game in my opinion)

That is so interesting! I finished the main game with 110 hours so I am taking a break from the DLC. But yes, I agree with you. It would be nice to have a region like Judea. Jerusalem was too small in the original Assassin's Creed. We can only dream about an AC Origins sequel now, however...

With the current state of Ubisoft, I want them to leave AC alone. After Unity I feel they should've done an installment that was properly done every 4/5 years. Now it feels like they're just milking it while making it worse each game that comes out.

I liked this movie until I knew the historical inaccuracies like making the Templars unhinged fanatics that just wanted war and the Hospitalars were peace-loving wise men. It was actually the Templars who brokered peace between Islam, The Christians, and the Jews and it wasn't until the Templars were removed from keeping that peace that the French nobility started causing problems. Other than that it was a very well done movie. I just wish it wasn't so ridiculously slanted against the Templars, but it seems that there is political reasons for that in Hollywood. The game series Assassins Creed also has the Templars as the villains.

While it's true that the idea of the Knights Templar as conspiratorial, manipulative, ruthless, brutal zealots is a fabrication created mainly by King Philip IV and Pope Clement V of France to justify their disbandment and siezure of their assets; it is a pretty serious distortion to call them peacekeepers. They were a religious, military, and financial institution that primarily concerned themselves with guarding pilgrim routes, protecting Christian holdings, and engaging in military campaigns against Muslims forces. They also acted as bankers and financiers, managing wealth and providing loans to European nobles and kings. Their presence helped stabilize this region to some extent, though conflicts and tensions were still prevalent throughout the Crusader period. However, the Templars' role in maintaining peace was often within the context of advancing Christian interests and defending against Muslim expansion rather than fostering harmonious relations between diverse religious communities. They were primarily a military order with a mission to protect Christian lands and people in the East, which sometimes led to confrontations rather than peacekeeping as we might understand it today.

You said 'theological justifications', but what did he justify with theology, specifically? All he said was that he said was that he thought the belief that despite his condition in this world, in the next world he will face far worse, is unfair. This is just an opinion, not a justification for anything. He also mentioned the basic belief of God being the only ultimate authority that is worthy of worship, and he will call people to account, not other people, whether they be in power or otherwise. I think the only comment resembling justification is when he says to Balian that he should help people of the other religions, not because it is is advantageous but because it is right. Now this is most definitely a theological justification, he is using his religious belief to justify his statement or command. So I ask you again, what were you referring to when you said that the character was justifying with theology, and what was the justification itself? I could also see you referring to the authority statements be to justified with theology, because he is technically giving advice to Balian, telling him to rely on his own self not to be swayed and influenced by people of power, justifying this with the belief that God will hold all people to account.

    • @johnplaydown1975
      @johnplaydown1975 24 дні тому

Thank you for your comment! What I was referring to with that phrase were the things that King Baldwin said about Balian - the one on your second paragraph - where he said that he cannot stand before God explaining many reasons as to why he did what he had to do, virtuous or not - because God will judge everyone equally. Maybe I should have worded that phrase better though!

Everyone likes to point out to the philosophical aspect of this, but I would like to instead point out the superficial. The cities are stunningly beautiful. The towering slyscrapers, the neon lights with ads. If you think Tokyo is beautiful, then it's likely you think Cyberpunk is beautiful. I think a lot of it is actually about how simply boring many cities are, especially the night pales in comparison in how it looks to cyberpunk cities. Think times square and multiply that by a thousand and that's more or less Tokyo is a good way to picture it for a few of you.

Unpopular opinion, I love the extended versions, but I think the theatrical are better, tighter, stronger versions. The extended versions are indulgent (and we want to indulge) but not better. TT has one or two extended scenes that are actually worth while, ROTK has one that really should have been in the theatrical version. Otherwise, the extended scenes start to detract from the tightness and quality of the film for these two. It even starts to introduce confusing and almost contradictory issues in ROTK. The extended version of FOTR, however, doesn't seem to detract. They seem worthwhile, even if not necessary. But none of them start to detract from the theatrical version aside from just padding more good (but unnecessary) stuff.

All are great, and for me it's a depends how i feel as Sam's speech at end of two towers is always good, and return for a nice climatic ending.

Part of the reason Griffith had sex with Gannon wasn’t just for the quick funding but so that he didn’t have soldiers dying unnecessarily. It did make sense and showed that Griffith cared on some level for the wellbeing of his band. Griffith did care otherwise the eclipse wouldn’t have worked. He did consider Guts as a friend, his only friend, that’s why him leaving upset the guy so much. Sure he didn’t come out and say it but it’s easily understood. I don’t think Griffith would have sacrificed his band if he wasn’t so damn crippled and useless and falling prey to the heavy manipulation by the Godhand. I mean he was scared and confused the majority of the time. But he finally fell victim. And yea dude, no sympathy for the queen and those nobles they brought that shit on themselves. They were actively trying to have him called because they couldn’t have a commoner gain so much status.

It's because it doesn't imagine too far. It predicts a bit but it also just exaggerates what is already happening with tech and society. It's captivating because it is very real.

That makes sense. It's interesting what will happen over the next few decades.

There are also books. But people enjoy good visuals more than letters I suppose

Awesome video man, ever since christmas I've been addicted with cyberpunk 2077 and the whole surrounding genre (almost 400 hours lmao) so this fits a nice spot in my heart to hear more poeple tlak about something I hold so dear. Great video, subscribed.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked the video! I have been watching a lot of Cyberpunk shows over the past few years. There is something beautiful about it. Hope you stay for my future videos.
